He can drive. He can make a difference in one or two shifts and you’re starting to see more and more of the offensive side of Philip Rover. Four seconds to go. Dury slaps it on. Puck to the near wing. F to the puck. Bring out the Zamboni. One nothing. The Blues have won two in a row. And Joel Hoffer with his second shut out of the season. [Music]

Dylan Holloway scored the lone goal of the game while Joel Hofer stopped all 18 shots he saw as the St. Louis Blues beat the Utah Mammoth 1-0.

  1. I love how they left out the controversial “kneeing” major…

    No initial call or arm by either ref
    They review the play for a penalty
    Player didn’t even stick his leg out
    And yet he gets a major and a game misconduct??

    With that logic, they might as well start reviewing every play for a penalty they might have missed. Don’t get me wrong, I hope Cooley is okay, but what an absurd call by the referees…

  2. Can understand why they didn't want to show that embarrassing major penalty call by the refs. Maybe refs felt like they had to call something with Cooley getting injured? Toropchenko was square with his knees underneath him, and I'd call it incidental at best. But if we have to blame it on anyone it was actually Cooley getting his knee out while trying to dodge a check. Regardless, looked pretty brutal. Hope the kid is ok.
