CAN The Knicks Win A Title With KAT?

As good as Carl Anthony Towns has played in moments, um I have always worried this. I will forever worry this. Is he a fetty guy? When you close your eyes, can you visualize the clock hitting zeros in the NBA finals and the confetti falling on Carl Anthony Towns as an NBA champion? I I don’t I have a hard time visualizing that. I worry if the Knicks can win a championship with Carl Anthony Towns.

  6. I hate to say it but I've been saying it since last year.. It is NOT possible to win a chip with Kat… Being really really bad at everything outside of shooting and driving, due to all our talent alone We could pull off a couple rounds but the best teams with the best coaches will develop their whole entire offensive scheme vs us with targeting Kat every second he's on the floor to stack up as many points as possible during those minutes And we would just constantly need to take him out so we can stop trading baskets and catch up.. That was the blueprint to beat us that every single team adopted last year And already happening in many situations this year … And not being a hater, I wish it wasn't the case but it just is, this was Leon's ONE 55 million of cap space mistake out of all of his amazing moves

  13. Assuming we can’t get Giannis, We have to work with what we’ve got. When KAT has confidence in himself he plays incredibly.

    We have to feed his ego to get the most juice for our squeeze. Whether that’s running plays through him or getting him the ball in his best spots.

  15. Time to trade KAT if he doesn’t improve by the trade deadline. He only plays well against bad teams, or if he doesn’t have to share the court with JB. However, I think if he focused on being a playmaker more than being a scorer, he could still be valuable. Have him post up at the top of the key and distribute the ball to cutters.

    His defense stinks. You can see his teammates getting frustrated with him. The Knicks need another rim protector and a guy that can move his feet.

  21. ABSOLUTELY NOT!! KAT is not that type of player. He doesn’t have DAWG in him.. The only way we can win a championship with KAT that is we get a real ROBIN to JALEN , like a AD, plus if we somehow can keep KAT as a Third string. I’m sorry KAT is not even a second string.

  27. As a Knicks fan, I feel that dumb conversations like this are what kills the team. We expect our team to win a chip but we constantly talk about moving players from our winning team. It is dumb as fuck especially in the current age where players read and hear all the nonsense said about them. Imagine how good Kat would be if we were behind our team 100%!?! Now if you think they don't just go back to last year when we were all shit talking tibs and the minutes distribution with 0 to the bench. Hart dubbed all of us the minutes police. Just sayin'..

  28. You are the worst kind of Knick Fan. So you can’t say the exact same thing about Jalen Brunson, dribbling the air out the ball and also being a defensive liability? Kat and Brunson are so good offensively that as long as they give an effort and the heavy defensive lifting comes from the other guys that know their roles and take pride in that, they will definitely be good enough to win a title, especially with OG and Bridges. Kat is a top 5 best big in the game today. Respect that man.

  33. I think a more appropriate question is can a team win a championship with him as the second best player. Usually the answer is most likely no. But in the Knicks case you don't really need KAT to score 25 to win. As long as Bridges or OG or others have above average outings. But if you are going to beat people like OKC or dare I say Orlando or Detroit someone or someones will need to be stepping up.
