The Jets have struggled to win close games since…..yeah, so I’ll take this one. The fact we’re 2-2 since we traded our 2 best players is a testament to this coaching staff, and it’s a sign things may be turning around, even if the talent isn’t there yet.

Pros:
* Tyrod is getting better with more reps, we finally had a QB hit a deep ball
* AD Mitchell is a WR2, don’t need to spend a high pick on a WR with him on a rookie deal. None of these Falcons corners could cover him. Over 100 yards with a TD, no drops, drew a PI, and was open for more TDs and big plays that they didn’t hit because the Falcons’ pass rush was disruptive all game
* Special teams looks good
* McDonald had a nice game even though it didn’t show up on the box score, Clemons looks much better too
Cons:
* Defense still can’t get turnovers, and we probably lose this game if the Falcons WRs don’t drop passes that hit them in the hands on back to back plays at the end of the game
* The tank ain’t happening for those rooting for it
* Membou had his first shaky game of the season, Pearce was giving him trouble with the speed rush, not worried about it though since he’s been rock solid every other game
* Rough game for Metchie, multiple killer drops. It was pissing rain and he wasn’t the only one dropping balls today so he should get a mulligan given how good he’s been otherwise
So we CAN beat teams outside the state of Ohio…
It’s crazy how if Folk was our kicker instead of Zurlein a year ago Saleh, Joe Douglas, Rodgers and Davante Adams would all still be here and we would have broken the playoff drought
Also, we won a game in which we scored first for the first time in 10 games, avoiding tying the record with 11th straight losses in games where we scored first.
So that’s nice.
It is nice to see them improving. Still a couple too many dumb plays, but they are getting better.
If the Falcons fire Raheem Morris we should be all over him to be the next DC of this team
