Capitals vs. Islanders | NHL Highlights | November 30, 2025

Cal Richie, Conor Mcichael off the opening
draw and we are underway. Brennan Burke, Thomas Hickeyi upstairs. Cal Clutterbuck joins
us from between the benches as Ilyasroen gets his first touch. Much like Backstrom when he
played with him, put it in that spot. Noveka just takes a second. And here come the Caps again.
Oh, Islanders fell asleep there as this allowed Stro to come in and take a shot. The puck was just
in no man’s land. Barcel thought the Angelo would get it and Angelo thought Parcell would get it.
Islanders have it now. And that pass gets up to Barcel for a twoon-one with Anders Lee and shot
saved by Thompson still threatening though. Lees in front of the net offensively. Tony D’Angelo had
a bit of a gaff last game but he always stands in there. The confidence the boys and Cal that’s
that area that you said Logan Thompson being an offhand catcher could sort of take away and
watch him a full on cartwheel like that. That’s that’s the last year he went 316 and six for this
Capitals team that had an outstanding season. Tow Dragon a shot from Horvak got in in a hurry
on Thompson. Of course, he’s played plenty of professional hockey over in Russia. This his
first season in the NHL as Boilier beats D’Angelo down the ice for a night to beat out an icing.
Ovetkin throws it on goal from an angle. Yeah, not a bad decision by Casey. Try and get some guys
in reinforcements to get that puck for checked on. Here you go. Pocket picked by Holstrom. He’s
got Duclair with them. Armstrong steered aside by Logan Thompson. Two spectacular saves to keep
the Islanders off the board early. He’s proven himself, right? And I I think everyone after he
led the Capitals to a power playoff appearance, Brendon, it was like, okay, you know, first
year he did pretty well, but has not been all that good this so far this season. under 15%
on the year, but they do have a goal here. Oh, and they made it look easy. Everybody looked at
the Oveskin pass and it was just casually tapped in on the goal line by Tom Wilson. Well, you’re
identifying one time. So, we know Ovetkin, right? Well over 900 goals now. A 10-ame point streak,
he can bring it. He’s at the very top. And as this puck comes to Ovetchkin, I think everyone’s
thinking it’s going to go back to Chron right there. That’s a beautiful little redirection by
Wilson on a play that Sroken didn’t quite pick up. His defenseman was in front of the net and how’s
that for execution? Didn’t take them long. Def little touch by Anders Lee jams it along for Dru.
A little drop for Barcel shot it off. Came right back to him. Now it’s Dan. Saved by Thompson.
Rebound shot wide. Getting a piece of it with the glove. If that thing’s three inches lower,
it’s in the net. This one battled for front of the net. Tapped by the crease of Duane was stopped
by Sherro. It’s going to be a battle thread and constantly you look in front of Ilia Sroen, he’s
got company. D’Angelo and Leonard getting into it again as this puck is frozen by Sroken. Level out
the physicality and skill that he brings. Barzell backs it out. Pock tipped down by Lee and a stop
by Thompson. That one probably fortunate and a hit up. It’s Barcel turn looks pull into the net.
Ticked again by Lee. It was behind Thompson. He’s able to recover before it crossed the goal line.
Got knocked down by Sandine. Drew meanwhile takes the puck. Here’s Schaefer. Save made. And the
rebound cleared up and off the linesman out of the zone. It’s offside. Justin Sord came over
from the Florida Panthers. An offseason trade as Wilson steps in with a restster that got
through and it sticks to the pads of Sroans. Shoved at by Mayfield. Anders Lee. Can he get it
through for Barcel? Here he comes. Matt Barczel from an angle. Looking at a wrap around and
Thompson in a full split. Able to stop it with the right. Do I go directly to you or do I go
up the wall? Barcel right there. He sprints to the spot. He shows his stick. And how about this?
As he goes all the way around, see the pad come around from Thompson. Just not enough to stuff.
But now Barzel in the far wall. Schaer out high. rotates over for Shabino. Snaps the shot in tight.
Rebound came out. Schaer again. Wanted to go back across. Shrugged off by Thompson on the drive for
Horvath. Maybe that’s what Max Shaov provides to this group as they stay out. Centering feet from
Schaer Lee taking away came in on goal. Stopped by Thompson. Rebounds for three and it’s cleared by
Bilia. Hovvesian well covered. Sikas with a burst of speed. Trying to create a threeon two. Sikas
over the line right side. Ziplov. Ziplov driving. wiped out and a penalty called on it. Ziplov goes
down. Islanders will get backto- back power plays here to start the second shoulder, but he gets
this puck going to the net right now. The leg comes out that draws the penalty from the backer.
Five attempts though on that first power play. Barcel from the goal line. Got it through off the
post. Shabino had a great look at it. Maybe caught a piece of the shoulder of Logan Thompson. Japer
off. D’Angelo on as the second unit on completely this time. Olstrom dances through. Couldn’t find
the handle. Knocked out of the air by Heidan on net and Thompson comes up with the stop. Nice
little poise. Get this thing started. Barzel seeds it. Lee spins it. Gets his own rebound
and finds it once again. Andrew Lee has been all over the puck here this afternoon. Here he
is with it now. The Islanders captain works it to the blue line for Mitchell. Snapped over from
Mayfield in on goal. Rebound for Drew. bounced over his stick. Nice pitch by Mayfield. Drew out
of Barcel developing home hustle back even in the numbers. Stro though finds a trailing Sandine
kicked away by Sroen. That was the fifth man in the rush. Just shows you what Washington’s doing
with their back end. Stro to the slot for Sandine. Defended by Sikas and he’ll chase him all the
way out of the zone trying to create a problem for him with Duplair following up. Nicely done by
Sand, but Adam Pel reads that and gets involved. crossed into the second half of this hockey game.
I still trailing one- nothing to the Capitals on an early power play goal from Tom Wilson in the
first. This one sprays off the pad of Thompson. 895 wasn’t hanging on apparently last year. He
just went off as Adam Pelling puts it off the pad of Thompson. That puck was still there as Andrew
Lee came jamming away at it. Ners get control of it. Barzell in the front right through Lee skates
him through the blue paint as well. Druan tried to go to the goal. Blocked by Chicken. Yeah, just
funneling everything out the net. They love it for the up cuz they’re getting all the pucks back.
Pel takes the shot. D’Angelo behind his back for Barcel. Now it’s Pell again. A wrist caught and
held by Logan Thompson. Faceoff duties for the Washington Capitals. Anthony Billi, former first
round pick. Longtime New York Islander fires that one off the faceoff play from out high. Stopped
by Sroen. But that plus the fact that they’ve had the puck a lot, you know. And here we go.
A chance of Kyle Mlan. Mlan in over the line. Rips a shot. Rebound for Sing as he was tied up
by Chron and the puck squirted away. He’s done a real find for Washington. Great job in their pro
scouting and recognition of a guy that just needed an opportunity. I guess that’s the byproduct.
Oh, and give away by Saraki and he scored into an open net. Tom Wilson will get his second after
all the momentum and all the chances have been in the Islanders favor. There’s that momentary gap
that has the Islanders down by two. Fortunate play. I I I like when goalenders come out and
stop the puck up. They help with the breakout here. Sroken just fans of this. Doesn’t get
it where he wants to. And Wilson, I mean, that thing just tucked inside the near post, too.
Is thought maybe Sroen had a chance to recover, but it’s that’s unfortunate. That’s just a bad
goalender play when you’re the last line of defense. It hurts even more because that thing’s
in the back of the net before he can even recover. Second only, the Colorado Avalanche as Bilier
darts his way across. It leaked on through. was in the blue paint and cleared out of danger by Tony
D’Angelo. Another two and a half minutes. Time will get a chance to shuffle their personnel now.
Druan right down the middle. Dropped past Barcel in traffic. Fired off of Thompson. Oh, take a look
at this. Druan, you understand where Matt Barzel is going to go and for him it’s all about taking
away a stick right there. Drawing people to you. Creates a good chance with a screen in front. But
like this, it’s not even looking at all. Those two they’ve handled by Strong Jack wanted. Horvat took
that option away. They feed it down low to Wilson now for Leonard. He hits the auto post. Horvat
hustling to try and get this one out. He will for the great eight. Looking for goal 99. The founding
member of the 900 gold club, Alexander Ovesman. Is this one in the front? Tipped on goal by Stro and
Sroen was there. Little stutter set move to get away from Duane. leaves it for Pock. Pock drags to
the slot. Doesn’t shoot now. Will fluttered up and changed directions. Stap the stick of Sandine and
Thompson able to adjust on the knuckler. Maybe get a big shot from Ryan Pulock from from up there.
Barcel Schaefer. Pull switching places at the top. Pull off to Schaefer. Here it comes. Partially
blocked. Still got through to the net. They score. It’s a power play goal and it’s a one-goal game. Watch the interchange at the very top. Switching
places. It’s Schaefer. It’s back to to Ryan Pock up top, but that’s all because the intention right
away to make sure they get to those strong sides. And in front of the net, a guy that I will say
needed one because he’s so important to this team. He scored at such a great pace. Things
haven’t becoming easy to him. Outstanding job by Andrew Lee in front to make sure that thing
popped loose. Andrew does such a great job in front keeping that puck alive and Bo Horvette
coming in in a advantageous position from the drives towards the net. Brings it around on the
back hand. Barcel trying to grace some chaos. Pressure came from Chick. Barcel still with
it. Short pass around the boards. Bumped back. Here’s another icing called Proise has a step on
Schaefer. Alexe Prous to the empty net. Scores. Alexi Prous beats out the icing. Puts it into the
empty net and the comeback. Bid comes up a little short. String it together. It will be tough. And
watch a little bump back play by Wilson as this thing comes around. He eliminates Horvat. And
with that, you see Prous take off and Schaefer. He hit the jets and couldn’t spend time with
it. If you’re Prus, it’s got to be off right away. Schaefer in hot pursuit and puts that one
right into the middle of the net. Angelo turns it around into the zone. Cal Richie to clear to
the net. Richie across and that puck jumped his stick. D’Angelo clubbed it. Bollier leaves it out
there. Ovkin will add another to his total. Goal number 99 for Alex Ovuchkin is into an empty net
on Long Island. This one just continued to bounce around. It was a good stick by Carlson right
there. I mean, maybe a yawning cage for Duclair, but after this point, it was Baville and Pel and
everyone just trying to get a hold of that thing. And they had their chances today. They couldn’t
get anything done in five on five against the Washington Capitals who take this one by a 4-1
score. It was a strong game, Brendan. It doesn’t matter as you look up there and you see the
fact that you lost to a team in your division.

  1. Томпсон крутился как белка в колесе. Без него, островитяне разобрали бы на запчасти капиталистов. Ну и Сорокин обосрался во втором голе.
