CAROLINA PANTHERS UPSET | Los Angeles Rams vs Carolina Panthers Week 13
THIS HALF IN CONVERTING THEM.
>> Adam: THEY’RE GOING TO KEEP IT ON THE GROUND.
THAT GIVES YOU A SENSE THAT THEY’RE WILLING TO GO FOR IT ON
FOURTH DOWN HERE. >> Drew: THEY’VE BEEN ABLE TO
CONVERT A FEW OF THESE THIRD DOWNS.
NONETHELESS, THE WAY THIS OFFENSIVE LINE HAS BEEN ABLE TO
PUSH THIS D LINE OFF OF THE BALL.
THE WAY THAT HUBBARD HAS BEEN ABLE TO FIND THE CREASES, I
LIKE IT. >> Adam: NOBODY HAS SEEN MORE
ON DEFENSE THAN THE RAMS. TWO FOR TWO TODAY, IS CAROLINA.
ON THIS CRUCIAL FOURTH DOWN, YOUNG, McMILLAN, GOT IT!
TOUCHDOWN! PANTHERS LEAD!
FOURTH DOWN SEEMINGLY IS THE MAGIC DOWN FOR CAROLINA.
TWICE THEY’VE SCORED ON FOURTH AND MUST HAVE.
>> Drew: I TELL YOU WHAT, THIS WAS CLUTCH BY BRYCE YOUNG, AND
REALLY GOOD JOB UP FRONT OF GIVING HIM PROTECTION.
BUT BRYCE HAS MADE HIS WAY, JUST THE WAY HE WAS UP TOP.
THE BALL WENT OVER THE TOP, AND McMILLAN, WHO DOES NOT HAVE A
CATCH TODAY, COMES UP WITH AS BIG OF A PLAY IN THIS GAME AS
YOU CAN, AT A CRITICAL MOMENT. Caramel Latte for Alex! (?) >> Drew: SO RIGHT HERE, FOURTH
AND SHORT. YOU KNOW YOU’RE GETTING MAN-TO-
MAN COVERAGE, AND BRYCE IS GOING TO READ THE FREE SAFETY
HERE, BUT YOUR MAN-TO-MAN OUTSIDE, YOU’VE GOT BOTH OF
THESE GUYS RUNNING CROSSING ROUTES, AND YOU’RE SIMPLY
LOOKING, WHO IS THE FREE SAFETY GOING TO GRAB?
HE GRABS LEGETTE. THAT’S FINE, WE THROW ONE-ON-
ONE TO McMILLAN. FORBES GUESSES WRONG
UNDERNEATH, AND WHAT A MASSIVE RESPONSE TO THAT RAMS DRIVE TO
PUT THE PANTHERS BACK ON TOP HERE IN THE FOURTH QUARTER.
>> Adam: TWO TIES, FIVE LEAD CHANGES IN THIS CONTEST TODAY.
RIVERS WON’T MAKE IT TO THE 30. THEY’LL SET UP AT THE 28 YARD
LINE, AND WE’LL BE RIGHT BACK AFTER THIS FROM STATE FARM. >> Adam: FOURTH TOUCHDOWN
RECEPTION IN THE LAST THREE GAMES FOR McMILLAN.
THIS ONE PUTS CAROLINA ON TOP WITH SIX AND A HALF TO GO, IN
WHAT IS ONE OF THE BEST, AND MOST ENTERTAINING GAMES YOU’LL
WATCH IN A SEASON. THIS ONE HAS BEEN A BLAST.
THE RAMS HAVE IT AT THEIR 28. NACUA IN A SCREEN GAME, AND A
TOUGH MAN TO CHALLENGE. HE GETS ABOUT SIX.
>> Drew: YOU’VE GOT A LOT OF TIME HERE, NEARING SIX MINUTES.
TWO TIME-OUTS FOR THE RAMS. THE WAY THEY’VE BEEN DRIVING
THE BALL, IT’S BEEN CHUNK PLAYS.
IT HASN’T JUST BEEN DINKING AND DUNKING.
IT’S BEEN CHUNK PLAYS IN THE RUN GAME.
CHUNK PLAYS IN THE PASS GAME. LOOK, THEY’RE NOT THINKING
FIELD GOAL, THEY’RE THINKING TOUCHDOWN.
>> Adam: BOTH TEAMS AVERAGING EIGHT PER PLAY, THE LEAGUE
AVERAGE IS 5.5. PUTTING THE SHOULDER DOWN TO
NICK SCOTT. A FIRST DOWN TO THE 46.
>> Drew: THIS IS ANOTHER ONE OF THE WAYS THAT THE RAMS GET
TIGHT ENDS OPEN. THEY’RE JUST TAKING COLBY
PARKINSON. NORMALLY, HE’S BLOCKING DOWN.
IN THIS CASE, HE JUST RELEASES. AS HE BOOTS OUT TO THE RIGHT,
IT’S HIS FIRST READ. JUST ANOTHER WAY TO YOU OFFSET,
IN A DEFENSE THAT HAS HAD TO PURSUE, PURSUE.
>> Adam: DEEP DROP, WANTS A DEEP ROUTE.
STAFFORD, INSTEAD, WILL TAKE THE CHECK DOWN, AND IT’S
DROPPED. A RARE ONE FROM NACUA.
LOOKED LIKE THEY HAD SOMETHING DEVELOPING DOWNFIELD, INSTEAD,
IT’S AN INCOMPLETION AND SECOND DOWN.
>> Drew: TYPICALLY, THERE’S A BACK SIDE CORNER THERE.
BUT HE WAS NOT THERE. SO AS YOU WATCH DAVANTE COME
SCREAMING ACROSS THE FIELD, BOY, A LOT OF REAL ESTATE.
>> Adam: WOW. >> Drew: I THINK STAFFORD JUST
TOOK HIS EYES OFF HIM A LITTLE TOO QUICK TO GET TO THE
CHECKDOWN. >> Adam: SECOND DOWN FOR
STAFFORD. NOW FLOATS ONE FOR ADAMS, WIDE
OPEN, INSIDE THE 40 YARD LINE. STEPS OUT AT THE 39.
WE ARE INSIDE 5 MINUTES TO PLAY, NOW THE CLOCK RULES AS
WELL. >> Drew: JUST LAYING TO THE
SIDE, DAVANTE ADAMS CAN JUST LULL YOU TO SLEEP SOMETIMES
WITH THE WAY HE RUNS SO SMOOTH THROUGH THE DEFENSE.
AT ANY POINT HE CAN JUST KICK IT INTO GEAR TO RUN ON BY YOU.
IN ANY CASE, KICKING IT THE SIDELINE FOR A BIG CHUNK.
>> Adam: FRESH SET OF DOWNS. STAFFORD, OUT ROUTE, A LITTLE
DEEP. >> Drew: THESE INTERESTING, THE
APPROACH THAT THEY’RE TAKING. THIS IS AS MANY BIG PLAY ACTION
PASSES THAT THEY’VE TRIED TO WORK TOGETHER.
UP UNTIL THIS POINT, IT’S BEEN, RUN, RUN, RUN, A SCREEN, AND
MIXING IN A PLAY ACTION EVERY NOW AND THEN.
BUT YOU KNOW, THEY HAVE PLENTY OF TIME, AND I THINK THEIR
FORMULA SHOULD BE JUST CONTINUE TO RUN THE FOOTBALL.
RUN THE CLOCK. MAYBE IN A WAY, THEY’RE
THINKING LET’S SCORE FAST. GET CAROLINA THE BALL BACK, AND
THEN TRY TO GET IT BACK AND GO WIN THIS THING IN REGULATION.
>> Adam: A LOT OF TIME-OUTS. IT IS KYREN WILLIAMS.
IT SETS UP A BIG THIRD DOWN. THE LINE TO GAIN WILL BE THE
29. THIRD AND SIX.
>> Drew: JUST SO MANY WEAPONS FOR THE RAMS ON THE PERIMETER.
WHEN YOU START THINKING ABOUT ALL THE OPTIONS THAT ARE AT
STAFFORD’S DISPOSAL. >> Adam: HE’S GOT FIVE OF THEM
OUT THERE. NACUA AND ADAMS ON THE SAME
SIDE. >> Drew: A LOT OF COMMUNICATION
ON DEFENSE. YOU WONDER IF THEY’RE TRYING TO
ORCHESTRATE THE PRESSURE. >> Adam: THEY DO.
STAFFORD THROWS TO NACUA, AND HE HOLDS ON, AND RUNS FOR THE
FIRST DOWN. RUNNING THROUGH WAS THE
CAROLINA SAFETY NICK SCOTT. PICKS UP 13 ON THIRD DOWN.
>> Drew: THAT’S THE SECOND ONE OF THESE STRONG THROWS IN AWAY
IN NACUA. JUST HIS ABILITY TO BREAK
TACKLES. HE’S JUST GOT SUCH LOWER BODY
STRENGTH AND CAN JUST STEP OUT OF THOSE, JUST WITH EASE.
>> Adam: STRONG RECEIVER IN NACUA, GOES TO THE SIDELINES.
HE STEPPED OUT OF BOUNDS, SO THE CLOCK STOPS AT 4:02.
AND A NICE RUN AS WILLIAMS TAKES A HARD HIT FROM RANSOM,
AS HE’S SHOWN OFF A COUPLE OF HARD HIT TACKLES TODAY.
FOUR YARDS ON THAT PLAY. >> Drew: YEAH, THIS IS ONE OF
THEIR PATENTED RUNS. A LOT OF DOUBLE TEAMS UP FRONT.
JUST GIVING CHIRON THE ABILITY TO CHOOSE HIS LANE.
YEAH, RANSOM HAS COME UP WITH SOME BIG PLAYS TODAY.
A BIG SACK THAT GOT THEM OFF THE FIELD IN THE THIRD QUARTER.
>> Adam: HE’S IN THERE FOR THE SUSPENDED TRE’VON MOEHRIG.
BOTH TEAMS HAVE RUN THE BALL EFFECTIVELY HERE TODAY.
RAMS WILL CONTINUE TO DO IT HERE.
AT LEAST ATTEMPT TO. THAT’S A GREAT PLAY BY NICK
SCOTT THAT TIME. DROPS HIM AT THE 17 YARD LINE.
IT WILL BE THIRD DOWN AND FOUR. >> Drew: YEAH, VERY CRUCIAL
HERE. BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY YOU DON’T GET
THIS, THEN YOU END UP KICKING A FIELD GOAL, AND THEN YOU’RE
GOING TO GIVE THE PANTHERS A GAME-WINNING DRIVE OPPORTUNITY.
THEY SPREAD IT OUT ON THE LAST THIRD AND MEDIUM.
WENT EMPTY, AND HE CHOSE HIS MATCH UP WITH NACUA.
SEE IF THEY GO BACK TO A SIMILAR STRATEGY HERE.
>> Adam: TOP SIDE IS NACUA, NEAR SIDE IS ADAMS.
>> Drew: PRESSURE BY THE RAMS UP FRONT.
>> Adam: AND SOME MOVEMENT BEFOREHAND.
THERE’S A WHISTLE. THE BACK JUDGE SAYS DELAY OF
GAME. >> Referee: PRIOR TO THE BALL
BEING SNAPPED, DELAY OF GAME ON THE OFFENSE.
>> Adam: ONE OF THE MORE DISCIPLINED OFFENSES IN THE NFL
LOST A FEW SECONDS THERE, AND THEY MOVE BACK FIVE YARDS TO
THE 23. FIRST RAMS PENALTY OF THIS
GAME. AND NOW THE FORMER RAMS
ASSISTANT, EJIRO EVERO LOOKING TO DIAL SOMETHING UP.
>> Drew: YOU GET HIM TO DELAY JUST LONG ENOUGH.
>> Adam: FOUR MAN RUSH. STAFFORD, GETS BROUGHT DOWN!
THE BALL CAME OUT! DERRICK BROWN THE HIT, AND D.J.
WONNUM, THE BALL! FLAGS COME FLYING IN AT THE END
OF THE PLAY, AND STAFFORD COUGHS IT UP WITH 2:25 LEFT!
DERRICK BROWN COMES UP WITH THE KEY PLAY OF THE DAY FOR THE
PANTHER DEFENSE. UP THREE. – You all tucked in?
– Yup. Ok. In the great green room… there was a telephone… >> Drew: LET’S TAKE A LOOK AT
WHAT HAPPENED ON THAT LAST SACK FUMBLE.
SO SEE WHERE DERRICK BROWN IS. FIRST OFF, YOU’VE GOT THIS
LOADED FRONT OVER HERE, YOU KNOW THERE’S GOING TO BE GAMES
COMING HERE, THAT’S EXACTLY WHAT TOOK PLACE.
YOU JUST NEED THE COVERAGE TO HANG ON LONG ENOUGH.
WATCH HOW DERRICK BROWN FIGHTS HIS WAY AROUND, GETS THE STRIP.
THAT’S THE THIRD TURNOVER FOR THIS DEFENSE IN THIS GAME,
WHICH HAS BEEN MASSIVE FOR CREATING OPPORTUNITIES, BUT
ALSO GETTING THIS RAMS OFFENSE OFF THE FIELD.
>> Adam: THERE WAS AN UNSPORTSMAN LIKE CONDUCT
PENALTY ON THE CAROLINA BENCH AFTER THEIR EXUBERANCE, AND
EXCITEMENT. SO THEY LOSE 15 YARDS ON THE
RETURN, BUT HOW ABOUT DERRICK BROWN?
STRIP SACK OF STAFFORD, HIS THIRD TURNOVER OF THE GAME.
HERE’S DOWDLE. TRYING TO CHURN THE CLOCK AWAY.
THIS COULD TAKE THEM DOWN TO THE TWO MINUTE TIME-OUT, UNLESS
McVAY WANTS TO USE ONE HERE, AND HE WILL.
GREAT GAME HERE IN WEEK 13 COMING DOWN TO THE WIRE.
WEEK 14, GREAT SLATE NEXT WEEK, AND IT’S HEADLINED BY A HUGE
NFC NORTH MATCH UP. PACKERS AND BEARS BOTH WIN ON
THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND. THE BEARS WITH A STATEMENT
VICTORY OVER THE REIGNING SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS.
THE PACKERS CONTINUE TO PLAY WELL OVER THE LAST FEW WEEKS
AFTER BEING UPSET BY CAROLINA. WE’VE GOT A GREAT SLATE NEXT
WEEK ON A FOX DOUBLE HEADER. >> Drew: I WAS GOING TO SAY MY
SECOND FAVORITE OFFENSE TO WATCH RIGHT NOW IS THE CHICAGO
BEARS, WITH BEN JOHNSON AND WHAT HE’S BEEN DOING WITH CALEB
WILLIAMS, IT’S BEEN AMAZING. >> Adam: REMEMBER THE RAMS
BURNED A TIME-OUT EARLIER IN THIS HALF.
SO THAT’S THE SECOND ONE USED BY SEAN MCVAY.
ON SECOND AND SIX. IT WILL BE A TRIP UP PLAY BY
KAM CURL, KNOCKING DOWDLE DOWN. SO NOW WILL McVAY USE THAT LAST
ONE? HE WILL, ON THE TOP SIDE OF
THAT TWO-MINUTE WARNING. >> Drew: AND THIS IS WHERE YOU
HAVE TO STAY AGGRESSIVE. DO NOT BE CONSERVATIVE.
THROW THE FOOTBALL HERE, AND IF YOU GET A FIRST DOWN, YOU WIN
THIS GAME. >> Adam: YOU GET DOWN TO THE
TWO-MINUTE WARNING, THEN THREE KNEES GIVES YOU A VICTORY.
THE RAMS NEED A STOP ON THIS PLAY TO GET IT DOWN TO THE TWO-
MINUTE WARNING AND POTENTIALLY GET IT BACK.
HUBBARD IS THE BACK. AND THEY’VE GOT THE BIG BODIES
OUT THERE AT RECEIVER. COKER, SANDERS, LEGETTE, ALL ON
THE LEFT. YOUNG.
SHOT FOR THE WIN, IT IS PULLED IN TOO, BY COKER!
AND THE PANTHERS ARE GOING TO COME AWAY WITH A SIGNATURE
VICTORY TO PROPEL THEM DEEPER INTO THE PLAYOFF CONVERSATION
IN THE NFC SOUTH! NO CONSERVATIVE PLAY CALLING
FROM CANALES THAT TIME. BRYCE YOUNG, BIG BODIED
RECEIVER, JALEN COKER. TWO-MINUTE WARNING IN
CHARLOTTE. Imagine if we could tell
everyone here that Liberty Mutual customizes car insurance >> TODAY’S GAME ON FOX IS
SPONSORED BY WAL-MART. ? >> Adam: IN WHAT WAS A RAINY,
FOGGY, COLD LATE NOVEMBER AFTERNOON IN CHARLOTTE, THE
PANTHERS ARE CELEBRATING. THEY’LL TAKE THREE KNEES AND
COME AWAY WITH THEIR SECOND VICTORY AS A DOUBLE-DIGIT
UNDERDOG THIS SEASON. THEY’RE GOING TO KNOCK OFF THE
HOTTEST TEAM IN THE NFC. AND DREW, AT THE TOP OF THIS
BROADCAST, YOU SAID JALEN COKER HAD TO BE BIG.
>> Drew: HE’S A GAME-CHANGER. I THOUGHT HE COULD BE THE
SECRET WEAPON FOR THEM. HE JUST MAKES HIS WAY TO THE
MIDDLE OF THE FIELD, AGAIN, THE RAMS PLAYING REALLY
CONSERVATIVE ON THAT THIRD AND MEDIUM.
A LITTLE BIT DIFFERENT THAN WHAT I WOULD HAVE EXPECTED.
THAT HUGE HOLE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FIELD, WHICH IS JALEN
COKER, THAT’S HIS SPOT. HONESTLY, I CAN’T SAY ENOUGH
ABOUT DAVE CANALES AND THE JOB HE DID.
GUTSY PLAY CALLING. TWO SHOT PUT PLAYS ON FOURTH
DOWN. FOURTH AND SHORT FOR THAT
MATTER. ONE TO McMILLAN, AND BRYCE
YOUNG AS WELL, CAME UP WITH THE BIG THROWS WHEN THEY NEEDED
THEM MOST. THOSE TWO FOURTH DOWNS, THAT
LAST THIRD DOWN TO SEAL THE GAME.
AND CAROLINA, NOW 6-1, IN ONE SCORE GAMES, PRETTY IMPRESSIVE
WHEN YOU TALK ABOUT THE GRIT, AND DETERMINATION, THEY NEEDED
THIS WIN TO STAY IN CONTENTION IN THE NFC SOUTH, AND THEY’VE
GOT AS GOOD OF A SHOT AS ANYONE NOW.
>> Adam: DAVE CANALES WAS ASKED THIS WEEK, HOW DO YOU BOUNCE
BACK AFTER A LOSS ON THE ROAD TO SAN FRANCISCO, A SHORT WEEK,
AND NOW PLAYING WITH POSSIBILITY.
HE SAID I HAVE TO CONVINCE THESE GUYS, WHAT I SAW, I HAVE
TO CONVINCE THEM TO GET TO SEVEN WINS, THE FIRST TEAM TO
DO IT. THE BUCS CAN STILL HOLD ONTO
FIRST PLACE WITH A VICTORY TODAY, BUT REMEMBER, THOSE TWO
TEAMS ARE GOING TO SQUARE OFF. >> Drew: THEY’RE GOING TO MEET
TWICE DOWN THE STRETCH HERE, SO IT’S WIDE OPEN.
>> Adam: PANTHERS, FIRST TEAM IN THE NFL WITH FOUR 30 PLUS
YARD TDs, DOWDLE AND HUBBARD, EACH HAD 200 PLUS SCRIMMAGE
YARDS. FIVE LEAD CHANGES, A PAIR OF
TIES, A LOT AT STAKE, AND THE PANTHERS COME AWAY WITH AN
UPSET VICTORY AND SNAP THE RAMS’ SIX GAME WIN STREAK.
YOU’LL GET COVERAGE OF THAT KEY NFC SOUTH MATCH UP, BUCCANEERS,
FACING THE CARDINALS, TRYING TO HOLD ONTO FIRST PLACE.

Rams had 2 INTs and a Fumble by none other than their own QB nearly at end of game. Sealed the W for the Panthers, who lost to the NINERS 20-9 at SF.
KEEP POUNDING! ๐ค๐๐ค๐
The Panthers are a Really Good Football Team. But we are also Young & Inconsistent. Great win and Keep Fโn Pounding! Letโs get these playoff wins.
All the panthers need to win is to be balanced . the rams never knew what was going to happen because of misdirection in the first half . The offensive line played well enough for it not to matter . We just need consistency in the play calling . Neither our running game or passing game is good enough to win it alone . We need to dominate the line and time of possession and have Bryce young be put in clutch positions to win . If we can stay consistent with the play calling we can stay consistent with winning .
Coach Canales showed he was rocks to keep calling passes on 4th and short.
Bears fan here. Luv the upset. THANX FOR BEING THE GIFT THAT KEEPS ON GIVING THE LAST FEW YEARS!!!!!!!
Bryce just needs consistently, and we need to continue to use our 2 headed monsters in the backfield. Feed both Chuba, and dowdle; keep them fresh. Each back can carry the team if needed. If Bryce stop making mistakes teams will need a perfect game to beat us. If Bryce didn't play so bad against the jags, cardinals, and the saints ; Panthers would be 10-3. Bryce literally lost those games on his own. Defense held the jags, cardinals, and the saints to 7 or fewer points in the 2nd half . Bryce played so bad those games. Jags game we were in the red zone 5 times but produced 2 fgs, cardinals Bryce fumbled for a TD,and saints missing open WRs,and throwing that ridiculous interceptions on the 2 yard line. We move the ball than stall to often. We constantly leave point off the board; have to stop beating ourselves.
Panthers put Rams to sleep…31-28
As a 49ers fan thank you panthers for beating the rams for us and Iโm so happy for Bryce Young I always felt bad for him when he was struggling but now heโs looking good for the panthers Iโm happy for him
KEEP POUNDING !!!!
Let this be a lesson. Anyone who tries to place bets on Panthers games, in the words of Michael Jordan, "seek help" call the hotline ๐๐๐
Scripted lol it is so obvious they got rams n bears tied n gonna have cowboys win n eagles lose couple more to tie them for division because nfl needs to have their entertainment ending to draw fans in to keep buying tickets n watching lol
Game ball Coker
Panthers are going to make the playoffs and they will win all their games and remember they already beat the cowboys and green Bay Packers and there is no way that the cowboys can get a wildcard spot the only way the cowboys can get in is eagles got to lose all their games so that the cowboys can win their division and that is not happening and eagles will beat the chargers and raiders and Washington commanders and eagles will be back and they will have the division locked up and cowboys will be out and Panthers will be in and 49ers won today that puts pressure on all the teams in the hunt pressure on the cowboys and Panthers are much better than the cowboys.
2:19, State Farm.
2:47, Like a good neighbor State Farm is there Daisy.
Real talk we lost because of forbes
Panthers are like a fly that keeps flying in your face and you canโt swat it away no matter how hard you try. And if you give Bryce the ball on the last drive of the game with a chance to win itโs over for ya
We play them again there wont be luck two interceptions one forced fumble when we were about to score and they took basically a hole quarter of keeping us of the field, were good ramily trust me let these clowns think there better then us its all good
WE OUT HERE WE DOING THIS!!!
As a Panthers fan, I have to say is our defensive front is not league top yet, that's why our run D is inconsistent and our pass rush is very bad. But I actually like our offensive personnel, especially O-Line, and I appreciate the confidence Canales is showing in Bryce Young. I hope this season is a positive sign for our future.
