I actually would love it if the Chiefs sneaked into the playoffs with some help from other teams just to piss off everyone on r/NFL and r/Sports and other subreddits that are still obsessed with hating them.
He is gonna be frantic now. And a frantic Mahomes behind an OL missing key players is a recipe for disaster.
If we end up with a losing record, does Veach finally take notice that we are not coaching and influencing players at the level we were as early as 1-2 seasons ago?

Have they solved the chronically asleep defense problem and all the ball dropping on offense? If not, then these are just words. Time to shake up leaders and players imo.

So is Mahomes gonna work on being more accurate on deep balls during his third consecutive “bringing back the deep ball” era or nah?
Yeah, that was actually three games ago, but nice to see they finally have a sense of urgency. Hopefully the Texans pass rush doesn’t put Pat in a body cast.

Genuinely concerned Mahomes might die. He’s already spooked and now he has very good reason to be spooked. At best, more inconsistent and uncharacteristic play from Mahomes. Worst case, he gets hurt.
Most of these losses we still had a chance in the final minute or two despite an insane amount of penalties and regrettable play calls. If we clean up even a fraction of the dumb discipline problems I don’t feel like winning out is that unreasonable. Not likely but still very possible
Maybe we make the playoffs, maybe we don’t. Not to be too negative but best case scenario we scrape into the Super Bowl and have to play somebody like the Rams. I’d almost rather miss the playoffs than get handled again in back to back super bowls plus lose out on some better picks.
Might have 3 backup offensive lineman against Houston. We will not win with that. Mahomes is going to get killed.

I have been since the season started – this team is going 11-6. Didn’t expect the Jags and Dallas losses. Also didn’t expect the Ravens and Lions wins. KC is making 2026 playoffs.
Just got done with the playoff machine on ESPN. We winning the division again with seed 3.
I just don’t see that happening. At this point I’m just smiling because the past 6 years have been fantastic. Hope they turn it around next year and spoil everything for the Donkeys this year.

I’m concerned for that offensive line going up against that Houston pass rush.

I really hope they do but I mean it would probably be a 1st round knockout for us. We can’t sack a quarterback to save our life, something is off with Patrick.
Plus or online is now fucked, I thought brown would have had more of a role but dude just disappears.
Say what you want about our offense and Mahomes, but in 5 of our 6 losses, our defense couldn’t stop the other team from running out the clock and preventing Mahomes one last attempt to win the game. In our 6th loss against the Bills, Mahomes’ hail mary pass actually bounced off Thornton’s hands that could’ve tied the game. It’s not over until the fat lady sings, but she’s already backstage getting her vocal chords ready. Lol
Honestly, I think that I’ve been slowly understanding that the run that we had in the early 2020s was just freaking amazing! And I’m so grateful for it. I’ll always be a chiefs fan, but I’m having to lower my expectations that not every year is a marquee year. This team needs a lot of work and hopefully the coaches and Management will not be afraid to make big changes.
Bears are playing better than us right now. We seriously need better coordinators
Don’t think we have much of a shot right now. We aren’t going to win out. Much of football is simply a product of how good the other teams are. You can see the rest of the league and AFC has caught up to the Chiefs, Ravens and Bills.
Oline getting banged up. Dline not doing shit. Offense is predictable. Not seeing us win out.
I read the article and it sounds like the players know what they are doing and know what they have to work on. I have faith in this team.
I think we can do it. All the hard games are at home where we’ve been dramatically better this year than away. Texans d-line is scary without our starters, but they are not really a good team overall. The Bills played poorly and got baited into some really stupid stuff and still could have easily won that game. The Texans also barely beat the Titans the week before.
