Chiefs are going to win Super Bowl! – Kyle Brandt on Chiefs CRUSH Commanders 28-7 to improve to 5-3

of that game on Monday Night Football. It is the completion of week eight. So, let’s check in with Patrick Mahomes as he assesses the state of the nation for the Chiefs right now. I think we’re getting better and better. You know, we we lost some tough games early um that we had won in previous years, but it’s not like anyone uh hung their head. They just they just continue to get better and better and that’s all we have to do is is push forward and and whenever the offense, the defense, and the special teams rolling, it’s fun to play football and um it’s been fun to get to be here at Arrowhead doing it and now we’ll get to take it on the road and see if we can do it again. I thought we came out well, you know. Um I thought our guys battled and the end of the day like um when you’re not converting our drives against this type of team, um it’s tough cuz they they’ll get going. And I thought our defense did a great job of holding it off and making plays, uh creating turnovers. We just didn’t do our part on offense. It would be mean to the Commanders to call this a blowout, but it was a one-sided game, especially in the second half in the hands of the Chiefs. Isaiah, what caught your eye from the way Kansas City was able to take over in the final two quarters? It the Washington Commanders were competitive. Yeah. Right. They were really competitive. I know we sat here and had a brief conversation about them yesterday and you guys were all in on the Chiefs and I had I had my points in regards to the Washington Commanders is because I believe that they’re a good team. I believe that they’re a competitive team regardless if Jaden Daniels is in there playing or is Mariota. The the reality is these guys were in that ball game for the first half, right? And you can’t play one half of football in the NFL, especially when you’re playing against an outfit like the Kansas City Chiefs. But as we look at it you guys right here, this was this was uh Patrick Mahomes in the first half versus second half through the first half the Kansas City Chiefs went interception, interception, touchdown, and then they ran out of time in the first half. That’s what that was their their first four series. But then on the second half, touchdown, touchdown, touchdown, punt. Look at the statistics for for Patrick Mahomes. It just turned out completely different. And on the flip side, the Washington Commanders of their first four possessions was interception, a turnover on downs, turnover on downs, touchdown, and then in the second half, punt, punt, punt, interception. You you can’t play like that. There was no rushing game whatsoever for the Commander. So, if you don’t uh if you can’t go out and have an effective running game against Spags, then he’s just going to pin his ears back and send the goons after to come get the quarterback. And that’s exactly what took place yesterday. 60 yards on the ground. Mariota did what he could with 70% completion rate, but ultimately they couldn’t convert over on downs and they didn’t have enough weapons. I know it sounds patronizing for the Commanders, but for them to pick off, whether it be a deflected ball or whatnot, Mahomes in the first half, but it didn’t result in points. That turnover on downs was huge. You got to convert, you got to put three on the board just to be a threat, Rashad, and that’s just not how it panned out for the Commanders. Exactly. And you look at the game last night, you check out Hollywood Brown obviously hit his hands and it turned into an interception. Travis Kelce hit his hands, turned into an interception. When you playing against the Kansas City Chiefs, especially on a roll like that, you you you really have to take advantage of the advantages that you get. And they didn’t they didn’t capitalize. They didn’t put the They didn’t get a field goal unit out there. I understand going forward on four for six, you don’t complete. I understand going forward on four for one, but when you got Debo, as you see right here, interception on a pitching catch, easy first down in the red zone, it kind of changes the momentum. We talked about this a little bit before. Momentum is a big deal when you’re playing against a heavyhanded franchise like the Kansas City Chiefs on the road. And they lost that. And when you lose momentum, I mean, you lose our outfit of the game as you’re seeing. Yeah. I mean, you know, to your guys, both of your points, I I mean, Zay, you talked about the Commanders played well last night, especially on the defensive side of the ball. We not mentioning that Marshon Ladmore had one of the best interceptions in the first half. So, you talk about two halves. What did I take for the game? This is what I took. The Colts are the best team in the AFC. that that’s what I took. Right. The Chiefs are still very good. The Chiefs are going to be in the playoffs. The Chiefs are playing right now at a very scary level. The inconsistencies as far as the drop passes that equate to turnovers. The the the the run game that they’re still trying to figure out. They have a three-headed monster. Matter of fact, two and a half headed monster with Brashard Smith, the rookie, that they’re still trying to figure things out. The pass game looks amazing. I mean, as long as you have 15 back there, Patch Mahomes, he’s he’s slicing and dicing to so many different targets. Having Rashid Rice back has been such a blessing that defense continues to carry. The inconsistencies there is what what what I took from the game, right? And the only thing that I took that was anything different was where I had the Chiefs and what I thought they were going to do to a Commander team that didn’t have Jaden Daniels. I didn’t see that. And because I didn’t see that the Colts are the best team in that doesn’t take away anything from the Chiefs or or or the Commanders. It was the way that the Colts are playing as a whole. You said two tail of two halves. We don’t have that conversation with the Colts. It’s a full game. It’s a full four quarters of stuff. But from what I got, the Chiefs play two different halves. People are like, “Hold up. I’m looking at a score down here of Chiefs commanders.” Am I like the Colts are the best team in the AFC. No, it’s a good standard to set. I think it’s important. And also the Chiefs I are still looking up at the Denver Broncos right now in the standings in the AFC West. So that is something to consider down the stretch. Uh, you mentioned one name that has returned for this Chief’s offense, Manti, and that’s Rasheed Rice. Isaiah, what have you seen in his return and the way that Patrick Mahomes is able to rely on him? He’s just a big time receiver. I mean, you call it what it is. They missed his presence. Now he’s there. Um, they can get the ball to him whenever they whenever they want to because of the guys that they also have that you have to be concerned about. You have to be concerned with Travis Kelce. You have to be concerned with the downfield threat of Xavier Worthy. Um, you have to be concerned with obviously um with uh with Ju Guu Smith Schustster, his his speed uh Hollywood Brown. Those guys have the speed. So, it allows Rashi Rice to really be that possession guy. Not calling him a possession receiver because he can do a lot more, but he’s he could be all over the field. He could be at the 5 yard mark. He could be your m your intermediate game and he could be your deep threat. This dude was nine for nine yesterday. Threw the ball to him nine times. He had nine receptions for for 93 yards and a touchdown. You know who else had who had uh 99 yards? Travis Kelce. Charles Kelsey had a had 99 yards and a touchdown. So when you’re so concerned with so many guys and you have so many weapons, they can’t key in on you. So Rasheed Weiss and any other offense, you would have to lock in on him and say, “We’re double teaming that guy. We’re taking him out or we’re putting our number one defensive back and we’re covering him.” But with this offense, when you have so many weapons, you have to disperse that and you have to play even kill. And when you do that, then he can go out there and torch. Well, Zay, you talked about him specifically as a wide receiver. We saw last night he even ran Wildcat, you know what I mean? So Andy, Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes, it’s like they they finally have their toy back. You know, it’s like now we can do what we want to do. Now we can be the offense that we always wanted to be. Let’s put him at the slot. Let’s have him run screens. Let’s put him at Wildcat. Let’s put him at running back. There were even formations where he was at running back and Bashard Smith was at white out at the number one wide receiver. So you talk about the impact that one guy can have. You see how they move him in this offense. They have him at Wildcat. They have him at receiver. They have him at running back. I mean, heck, the guy can basically do anything on the offensive side of the ball. And it has looked different for Patrick Mahomes. He looks a lot more comfortable. Like that big that big touchdown that that big game by Travis Kelce that they had was a broken play. Like when is Travis Kelce ever blocking? Well, Travis Kelce is blocking. You have that luxury of Travis Kelce staying blocking. When you have Rasheed Rice running routes out there, now you can have Travis Kelce leak out late. So, there’s so many different aspects to the Chief’s offense that I see now that Rasheed Rice is back that they didn’t have before. Again, not to be overlooked. Travis Kelce now has the next 12 or 13 weeks to become the all-time touchdown receiving leader for the Kansas City Chiefs, which is really incredible and it speaks to his career that he’s had with both Ak Smith at quarterback and Patrick Mahomes. He has 83 touchdown catches last night. Six catches good for 99 yards. Let me tell you something, Rashad. Would it terrify you to know that in all the Chiefs trials and tribulations that they’ve been through this season, they have never had a 100yard receiver in a game? That’s terrifying, right? the way that they can peanut butter out the ball this season. When you think about it that way, it is bizarre. I mean, when you think about Pat Pat Mahomes in the in the back field throwing the ball to everybody and they haven’t had 100, but that also speaks to one Spags playing well on defense. They’re able to disperse the ball to everybody. Everybody’s a part of this offense there. Like, so, and y’all understand this, especially you on the offensive side of the balls, when we are watching film, there’s an expectation to be ready for your name to be called. Yeah. Um, but a lot of times if you’re second string, third string, sometimes you like, I ain’t going to get in this week.

  1. Look at the caliber defenses and offenses the Chiefs have played compared to the Colts. I agree the Colts offense has looked great but their defense has given up a lot of points as well when I think of the best team, the Chiefs defense gives them the edge. The Colts offense is fun to watch though.

  2. What in the hell do the Colts have to do with anything? It doesn’t make any sense. Oh no wonder they got the same guy they got hoax by a man in college. I don’t even know why he’s even on this show. TRASH

  3. Tell all ur friends that hurt's is not allowed to extend ball out unless on goal line.thats what's even crazier.nobody knows the rules.giants got screwed so many plays.eagles wasn't losing that game.already was in the books.😂😂😂

  4. The chiefs are better. Why? Because the colts are coming out of the fray no one has been preparing for them, no one has been saying their name. It’s like Pat Mahomes in 2018. Comes outta nowhere and has a 50 td season. Nobody has seen him before. The colts are a new Dog in town you don’t know their tendencies and tricks and patterns. Everyone Knows the chiefs and has been preparing for them. Everyone wants to get them! They are everyone’s superbowl. That makes a big difference!

And Pat Mahomes just makes crazy things happen!
He makes the most happen out of nothing. Period. The Colts are there, but people think far too simply and just label things by the numbers and do not read between the lines

  5. Funny thing is, the Chiefs control their own destiny. If they win out they will be the one seed. They play Denver twice, the Chargers at home, the Bills, and the Colts.

  6. I wonder if the colts can maintain their current pace?🤔🤷‍♂️, but no one is talking about the Chargers amd Broncos they are legit, and don't forget the Buffalo Allens I mean the bills 🤣🤣🤣

  7. This show is total Bullshit!!!! It says Kyle Brandt talks about Chiefs and he’s Not even on the Show!!! Fucking clickbait LIARS!!!! This show is Full of idiots and Liars!!! No sub for any reason!! Fuck you assholes!!!
