Matthew Stafford fumbles to lose the game | Los Angeles Rams Vs Carolina Panthers

Okay, Panthers Rams end of game scenario. It is a third down and 10 situation. I’ve paused it right here. You see two and a half minutes left. Stafford has struggled against this Panthers defense today even with the 28 points. Has thrown multiple interceptions including a pick six. But they have gotten the ball inside the 25. So worst case scenario, you’re getting a game-tying field goal. But of course, they’re thinking about seven trying to take the lead here. So when Matthew Stafford takes a snap, nothing’s open right away. It’s third and 10. It’s kind of tough. He is going to just keep working and try and see if he can get outside the pocket here. Again, you don’t want to take a sack. That makes it tougher on the uh on the, you know, field goal. But when he tries to get out, it’s Derek Brown, the great Derek Brown fighting. Knocks the football loose. Carolina recovers. Now they have the ball and they’re going to be able to potentially run out the clock. They’re still leading by three. It sets up this situation which with 217 left, the Rams burn all their timeouts on a third down and five now. So for Carolina, you know, keeping the clock running doesn’t do you a ton of good. So they say, let’s just go for it. Go for the win. If they can convert this third and five, they win the football game. If not, Stafford, we’ve seen him make a million clutch comebacks over the years, even if he’s struggling today. We’ve seen him have a bad game and then still find a way to get his team victories tons of times before. Here though, Brace Young not going to let that happen. Definitely not the best defense there by the Rams either. bit open on that play, but what a job by this Carolina Panthers team to hold on and get the victory. Just well done by everyone involved.

  9. That's not on Stafford. One of the best interior lineman in the NFL just made a big boy play.

    Props to Evero for scheming up 6 turnovers over the last 2 games against some of the best play callers in the league.

  19. The Rams didn't earn the win against the Panthers. Matthew Stafford had 2 interceptions and 1 fumble which gave the Panthers the win. Hopefully Rams will win next week 🏈🐏💪💙💛👍.
