I know the Canes oversee hockey decisions for the wolves but they’re still more independent than other orgs so they could still have signed him even if Carolina people said no.
Who knows though. Maybe they saw how the reaction to hart has been and said sure one more nhl level dman. I think Foote wasn’t impressive before being accused of sexual assault and rape so not sure the best play is here.
