Must have been the most satisfying “SUBMIT” click of the author’s life
As a reminder, the accuser was called a lying sack of shit (not in those words) by the judge who was also a woman.

People need to realize that you can support your team on the ice without condoning everything the individual players have ever done, and will ever do off the ice.
These athletes are not your friends, you don’t know them anywhere near well enough to make judgments on their character. How many horrible things have other athletes done that will never come out to the public, never mind have a trial (and be found not guilty) over?
You’re watching them play a sport. Stop putting athletes on pedestals and acting like they are all perfect citizens you’re hiring to babysit your children or teach them sex-ed. It’s entertainment ffs. Hockey players are the equivalent of jesters for the royal court (us fans).
If you can’t understand that, you’ve got much bigger problems to worry about than your favorite hockey team and the players on it.
