  2. Feel like he’s due for a big passing game before the regular season is done. Cleveland seems like the highest potential for that.

    He gets at least 1 300+ yard game within these coming weeks I think he does it

  7. It’s probably going to take a game where we are down two scores and he throws for like 350 because we are playing catch up. If we are winning and leaning on the running game, that’s good for the Bears and bad for the 4k goal

  8. Unless something drastic changes I seriously doubt he gets it this year. Which is fine. Wins are more important and the run game is vital to that for Ben Johnson. What’s good news is he’s shown that he’s perfectly capable of it. And shown progress is reading defenses and going through progressions. The future is bright with this kid and I’m excited for seasons to come

  11. Watch, BJ and CW roll into Lambeau and air it out for 400+ yards because the Packers commit so wholeheartedly to stopping the run they forget to cover at least one receiver.

  17. I did actually think he’d end up doing it for awhile but really not for good reasons. I expected them to have to throw more both because I figured we would be playing from behind more, I certainly didn’t expect us to be 9-3 at this point. Also I didn’t think the running game would be this strong. If your team can run for 200 yards in a game, you don’t have to put the ball in the air as much

  19. He hasn’t thrown for 300 yards in a single game all year. That Cowboys game should be an asterisk cause he was literally at like fucking 298 of course.

  21. I’m glad Jay was benched for Clausen in 2014, even if it was out of pettiness. He didn’t deserve the record. That whole team was full of bums that didn’t deserve anything.

  26. Do any bears fans actually give a damn about having a 4k passer? We’ve had 4k passing seasons done by multiple qbs, wtf does it matter if one does it? Seems like it’s an arbitrary number to exclude a team as if it says anything at all about said team (see a superbowl win and an appearance without reaching the number)

    Its just odd to me that people get hung up on this benchmark.

  31. With 4 out of 5 games having a high chance of poor weather conditions I think 4000 doesn’t happen this year. Sunday forecast in GB is high of 18.

  35. Don’t think he’ll get to 4k this year. However, he’s gonna break Erik Cramers record. Also, winning is more important right now. Caleb is gonna be a franchise guy so we’ll get to 4k next year

  36. Yeah I could care less. Would be cool to see but right now the Bears are going for the ship. And I’m enjoying the ride. I don’t care how they win or stats. They just need to keep focusing on what they focus on. Right now, that’s the Packers. I’m sure everybody at Halas is thinking “win” over breaking 4000. Plus there is still time left. Maybe we can have both. I like to think CW does see that stat, and shrugs it off because he knows the stats don’t matter. Only winning.

  39. Eh who cares. I want wins. If you extrapolate Mitch’s stats to a 17 game schedule he would have thrown for 3,913 and Jay cutler would be the leader at 4,320. Doesn’t mean shit ultimately if you can’t maintain success. The eye test tells me Caleb is already the best we’ve had.

  40. The height for each game doesn’t make sense here.. How is game 5 2024 smaller than game 6 2024???
