NHL Highlights | Mammoth vs. Sharks – December 1, 2025
of the Sharks. As Tara said, third and final meeting of the season between these two teams. Sharks and Utah have split so far and we are underway. This is the Sharks 27th game of the year. So, we’re just a couple of games away from being onethird of the way through the NHL schedule. Turnover. Tofo scores. Oh, it was a while coming, but Tyler Tofoley tingles the twine and the Sharks have the lead right off the face off. It is just like you said, it’s a turnover, but let’s credit Will Smith here on this. Watch Will on his toes now. He’s going after his man. He hustles after Cirv. He gets the puck because of the hustle off the face off the ready to go and tired to Foley. What a shot that is. Snap up over the glove and that’s where the best including trick against the Sharks. Nice knock down by Smith. Now here’s Sbrini through the middle of the ice. Hands it off to Tim and a penalty coming up as Mel made the save on the now Orof and Kurov Kurv again. There’s a shot tipped by Tipley recovered by Godetti. Quickly works it up top again. Orlock the one-time. They score Adam. No, it’s Pablo Reaganda in his first game as a San Jose Shark makes it two to nothing to that area. He will get to the front of the net. But you see what shooting does. Shoot, recover, reset, attack. Shoot, recover, reset, attack. Terrific job by the Sharks. They’re getting pressure to the net. They’re getting people at the net. Simple is beautiful in this game, especially when it works like that. Great job by Reagenda. Very nicely done. And he played it right to Bert who’s knocked off the puck by Ekan. Nice play by William Eckl. Back to the net. Bela under siege right now. Makes the save. Everybody would say I’ll take that after a 52-point season last year, but it’s a long year. A long way to go. Here’s Michael Caronei for Utah. Check by Madull and they score. Lawson Krauss as Caronei made a nice play to spin off Madul and find the open man coming in late and it’s 2-1. Coming back Sam Dickinson stops skating. He’s trying to hold his man up and then he slides off his man just a little bit. You’ve got to get on that man. You’ve got to lock him down. You’ve got to make sure you box him out from getting to the net. Sam knows this. He won’t make this mistake again. But see how he slid over to the puck a little bit instead of getting on his man. Good job by Carone to try to drive to the net. Hold on to the puck, not give it up. Didn’t have the angle. Here’s Smith. Fans on his shot. Heck trying to steer it to a teammate. Gave it away. Here’s Logan Culie in alone. Save by Aster. And Keller leaves it for JJ. JJ Purka gets away from Goodrell. Slides it across. The shot saved by Aster. rebound and he dives back and was able to make a second save. That’s one better than Jakobish of Montreal. Two better by Walter. The Sharks score. Tyler Tavoi again and it’s 31. [Applause] [Music] An area that the Sharks want to make sure that they’ve improved on is faceoffs. And that’s why a face off isn’t just about the centerman. Good job by Tyler Trafoley just being ready, right? There’s Nate Schmidt keeping it alive for Utah inside the Shark zone. Sharks are out shooting the Mammoth 13-10. And now the dangerous Purka scores. JJ Purka picks the corner blocker side on Ascarov. And again, Utah with a puck hits the referee. It’s going to go around and it hits the ref. It slows down. There’s a good pinch by Nate Schmidt. Keeps it alive. And then JJ Purka is just being JJ Purka against San Jose. Oh, that’s two assist tonight now with 39 points. He reached the 100 point plateau in his 96th NHL game on Saturday night in Las Vegas. Second period underway. Here’s JJ Purka. They are very well coached, very disciplined on adhering to their structure of their game. Here’s a steal by Eklan. He’ll take it down Nate Schmidt’s side of the ice. Cuts to the net. Makes a shot difficult for Vanek to save, but he does. Very good play by William. He protects the puck so well. Madan into the corner. Chance in front. Ascarov. Big save off Dury. And now here’s Nick Schmaltz. Nice play. Had a hat-tick against the Sharks back in October in a 6-3 win in Salt Lake City. Here’s a nice move by Smith. What a dangle. Back to the inside. He scores. What a goal by Will Smith. [Applause] [Laughter] This is absolutely superstar goal. Good little play. Nice little pick by Mlin there as well. One deep drags it past two men and then fires it. Check out number 85 in front. Or was it 80? Yeah, it’s 85. It’s Shakir. The kids are all right on this display of talent, skill, smarts. Shakir with a beautiful screen. He drives the net. That creates a little bit of space for Will. One guy deep, two guys deep, and then three guys when you count count. All of Celi’s helpers tonight have been primary assist on goals by Tiboli. Two of them. And now Will Smith, his two line mates tonight. Starts with their third twogoal lead. Here’s Gett. He scores. Adam Gette and it’s 52. [Applause] [Music] This is checking. Getting in on the play along the boards. There’s Wenberg. And then there is a misplay and that allows William Eklan to get in. And what a backand. What a great backhand by Adam Goddet. But look at the numbers on the puck. Getting on the puck quickly. Wenberg first. Ekan is jumping on a bobbled puck. And there’s Godette in close quick support. Look at this. That’s getting inside. That’s being strong on your stick. And what a shot. M again showing his defensive prowess. Here’s to Foley. He’s got two tonight. Tyler over to Will Smith. shoots, scores. They’re on fire. Will Smith with his second of the game. [Music] Tyler Dfoley just draws his man over enough and then as [Music] it Yeah, Sergeevy’s backing does a nice job. Circa Champ just got come over and he overplays it a little bit but it’s only because M that Will Smith has got that ability to cut so tightly and come right across great agility. Nice job by Tyler to start that all off and then that little move and that fantastic release man that kicks fire one into traffic ricochets to Logan Culie here’s Dylan Gunther one man bat and Ascarov as well who made the save good angle on that visit sjsh.com lounge to purchase your tried to strip ean could not here’s Godette spins away from Dury. An indirect pass for Eckler to the net and Weber denied. Rebound fanned on by God. Back hand, but he’s got all right for everything. We will see what it’s going to be tonight. Just under a minute and a half left to go in this second period. Off the faceoff win up ice. Here’s Regina and a save by Vanichek. works his way past Nate Schmidt. That’s a tough one for a defenseman to play. And then again, what does Brienda do? He gets inside position and then VTEC as the Sharks have now put up six goals for the fifth time this year. Sadly, they lost one of those games. 76 as we’ll get a nice and calmy with a three-point game. all assists as he separates himself from Connor Badard in the scoring race to grab hold of second place all alone. Celibbrini with 40 points and a goal for Lawson Krauss in transition. That’s his second of the game at 63. This is just you you got to lock like we saw with Sam Dickinson. You got to lock on your man here. Will Smith has got to lock on his man. So he’s right there with Krauss now. Just stay on this side. Stay on this side. But you don’t. So you’ve got on this situation, you’ve got to get back up above the puck. You don’t do it. No problem. Now right here, just stay on loss and Krauss. Stay on Lawson Krauss. Instead, Will and Clankberg go to the one man. And that leaves Krauss. And the San Jose Sharks will claim the season series two wins out of three. as they lost the opener 6-3 back in October to the Mammoth. Tonight, they end the series with a 6-3 win of their own. [Music]
Tyler Toffoli had a four-point night with two goals and two assists while Macklin Celebrini and Will Smith each finished with three points of their own to elevate the San Jose Sharks to a 6-3 win over the Utah Mammoth.

Toffolli still got it, and Will Smith is something else 😎
That first Will Smith goal was nasty.
The sharks are in a pattern of win, loss, win, loss
Regular Season Series
SJ wins 2-1 Sharks winning a season series as this was the final game against Utah
You guys forgot to post the ceremonial puck drop and the slight Sergachev gave to Sharkie. Loved the arrogance before getting outplayed.
Without the great Russian goalie Askarov, the sharks lose
just as the commentators mentioned — don't lose the position, especially in defence.
The sharks might actually be a good hockey team
Amazing sharks, Vanecek poor
To see San Jose dominate is still rare & fresh but maybe it'll become a regular thing
Sabres trading Peterka, still pisses me off.
Really wonder what Grier is going to do at the deadline if the Sharks are still in a playoff spot.. Definitely not buy, but hopefully not gut the team either.
Will Smith is underrated. He has 24 points in 26 games, and not enough people are talking about it.
Good win boys!
Шаркс играют без проблем😅 зубки вырастают😅! ;!!
W will smith most underrated player
Uugh, lol, that was Fugly. Some top guys gotta get better, a lot better, for us. Not close to playoff quality play every other game or so, including this debacle. BigJack/Carcone/Crouse carrying the load, others MIA. Toffoli outstanding, still and SJs top guys were just a lot better this game. Way too much 'soft' In the play of top 2 line Utah forwards. Starting to wonder how much longer 'soft perimeter play' in the O zone – by top players – will be tolerated by Mgr BillyArms in Utah.
🤔🤔🤔
Not even hating as a Mammoth fan because the sharks played a good game but where are the fans at? This sharks team is young and exciting and not even half the barn is full? Give the boys some support San Jose!
Bye bye playoffs 👋🏼
For how well the Sharks are playing this year, the number of empty seats is criminal.
A true league table bottom line challenge
Definitely the best game in Will Smith's career so far. The goal that made it 4-2 is a goal of the year candidate. Nice to see 3 more Celebrini points, he continues to be other-worldly. Askarov was solid, another .910+ outing. They have some tough games coming up on the schedule, will be interesting
Молодые жгут
Good to see Toffoli end his goalless drought, and it's nice to be in a wildcard spot at the start of December for the first time in I can't remember how long
Every line on the sharks looked great! Awesome win!! Smitty and Toff TEARING it up!!! Celebrini and Asky still laying it DOWN!!
That goal song has to go man.
in pre-season Regenda recorded 4 points in a game and got scratched of the team as a reward, now .. first appearance since then = scoring a goal instantly..give him a bit more time to shine, well deserved !!
Make the Shark Tank Great Again. Even on a Monday night.
Such a fun time to be a Sharks fan!
I cannot belive that I get excited to watch sharks, and I cry watching Vancouver. 2025, what a time to be alive.
That Sharks uniform is beautiful!
This goal horn is killing me
