But, let’s get to this one between the Toronto Raptors and the Portland Trailblazers. The Toronto Raptors sitting at 14-7 on the year, 11-10 against the number off of back-to-back losses though after a 11694 loss at the hands of the New York Knicks in their last matchup while Portland comes in 8 and 12 on the year 109 and one against the number losing seven of their last nine after a 123 115 loss to Oklahoma City in their last matchup. Now, they did get the cover in that game, catching 11 and a half points, but now they got to head back out on the road where, you know, we haven’t seen necessarily the uh the Portland Trailblazers be at their best in a lot of their recent games. And you look at the injury report for both of these teams coming into this one. RJ Barrett still out for the Raptors while, you know, you’re still dealing with a boatload of injuries for Portland. Donovan Klingan is listed as questionable, but Scoot still out with his torn hamstring. You know, Drew Holidayiday has a calf strain. Damen Lillard obviously done for the year. Batist Thyel and Blake Wesley are both out as well. So, you know, a lot of the usual suspects for Portland and I still think that this is a Portland team that at their peak when this team is fully healthy is a team that can, you know, compete and and have some success this season. But right now, they just don’t have it. And you look at some of the matchups that they’ve played. Now, yes, Portland has been able to pick up some quality wins like, you know, at Golden State they want outright as double digit dogs. and they beat Milwaukee on the road as well, but they also got blown out at OKC. They lost at Dallas. They got blown out at Houston. And while, you know, Toronto may not be the Thunder or the Rockets right now, they’re still a pretty good team, especially at home where they are seven and two this season. And now Toronto, I think, is going to want to get out of that sort of slump that they’ve been in where they failed to cover in four of their last five. And, you know, just sort of have struggled with form right now and trying to get over the RJ Barrett injury because when you have a key piece like Barrett out, it it puts pressure on guys like Ingram and, you know, quickly and Scotty Barnes to perform. But like I said, this team has been really good at home, especially go back to last year, you know, with the Toronto Raptors sort of making improvements and really, you know, showing some fight. This Toronto team at home, I said, has been uh has been very solid. 28 21-1 against the number since the start of last year at home. When you look at this team as a home favorite, you know, they’ve been 10 and eight since the start of last year. And uh this year, you know, when you look at Toronto as a home favorite, the numbers aren’t necessarily the best. They’re a 50-50 team, but you know, there’s been a lot of times where they’ve maybe been a little bit of a heavy favorite. So far, they’re winning by an average of 11.3 points per game at home this season. And I think that this is a spot where the Raptors use, you know, Portland, you know, their struggles and their current form to get themselves back on track here. I think the Raptors get it done. I’m going to take the Raptors. I’m going to lay the five, five and a half points, whatever you get it at. But either way, it’s Toronto for me here. That is for my free pick for this game.
