The Giants announced that Casey Schmitt underwent surgery today to remove the carpal boss in his left wrist. He’s expected to spend the next eight to 10 weeks rehabbing.

Why didn’t he do this before we all went to Cancun?
Likely why there were reports yesterday of them looking to sign a second baseman

Also wondering why this surgery couldn’t have happened in October or November? Sounds inevitable that Schmitt will miss a bit of spring training.
I’m higher on Koss than most, but 2B is now definitely an area concern for the 2026 Giants.
