We got Espo Gill and the freckled mama behind the Mac making all of the magic happen as your Phoenix Suns Ba Ba Ba. Hey, we stopped this right now. Everybody Oh yeah, the vibes are so so so high. The Phoenix Suns beat the Los Angeles Lakers. The fully healthy minus Marcus Smart Los Angeles Lakers by the way 125 to 108 snapping their win streak picking up snatching their win streak picking up a big road win before getting three days off. Colin Gillespie set careerh highs. Dylan Brooks was talking all sorts of smack as he scored 30 for the third time this season. And at the end of the day, the Suns proved what they continue to prove, which is that they have earned your respect. Where do we start? I think you got to start with uh with Colin. I mean, that’s that’s the guy that landed the haymaker tonight. So, I think that’s probably a pretty good place to start. I was gonna say, I mean, Colin Gillespie had the knockout shot. Dylan Brooks body shots throughout the game. Just kind of got the Lakers a double over. He was frustrating them getting in their head. And then late co he’s like how much does he have left? It was Colin Gillespie that really did deliver that final shot. It was cool to see both of them step up uh when they needed to. So what I’m hearing is we should start with our dudes of the night presented by Hila River Resorts and Casinos. You do you at Hila River Resorts and Casinos. Visit playhila.com for more details. Obviously you do have Colin Gillespie in 34 minutes tonight setting a careerhigh with 28 points 10 of 19 from the field. also a careerhigh eight of 14 from deep, five assists assists, four rebounds, two steals on the night. And of course, also Dylan Brooks, the body shot knockout combo. 33 points in 33 minutes for Big Villain. 15 of 26 from the field. Two rebounds, two uh two assists, and a steal. Stephen Villain and Villain Jr. were a potent duo tonight. Yeah, I mean, if you’re going to go into that environment and win a game against that team that was on that win streak with all of that top end talent and all of the injury adversity you were going up against, which had another multiplier added to or multiply to what already you were up against coming into the game, that was a special performance. And it feels like yet another kind of documentable bookmarkable moment in a first quarter, a little bit over first quarter of the season that’s seen multiple games where this team just has these moments that really speak to the character of the group as a whole and then the individual pieces within that that make the whole so impactful in the ways that it is. So that was a very that was almost the biggest culture win if you will that this team has had this season. Oh, the kennel, that group of dogs that they got were out there working tonight in every way, shape, and form. It was unbelievable to see what Colin was able to do at the end, what Dylan was able to to put out there. I mean, some of those moves that Dylan was making. I mean, they look like prime uh NBA on NBC in the 90s down there in the paint, spin around, hitting those shots. Overall unbelievable performance for this team and anybody, any team, any night with anyone, I think is how this mentality has been and seems like it’ll continue to be with this team. Yeah, it’s the carryover that we talked about last week when they got a win and ran into a little bit of a tough stretch after that. But it’s like, okay, the stuff that you do, the good habits that you set, it comes with you and you face a Lakers team now on a win streak, but on the second end of a backtoback and they took advantage of that any given night. This team is ready to fight. They’re ready to make you uncomfortable. Dylan Brooks putting his shoulder in you, calling you little baby, shooting over you. Like all these things that they’re doing, they have an attitude and a moxy about them that now we’re past the quarter point of the season. This is who they are. I asked that question last week, who are you? They showing that this is who they are and they earned that respect over this point in the season. And I think that they are here to stay and we’ll continue to see this. I mean, let’s not get it twisted. This was a thoroughly dominant performance from the Suns tonight. It was a tied first quarter, 3131, which by the way, Luca had 20 of that 31. After that, they won every single quarter uh in the second, third, and fourth. It was a total asskicking. And look, Devin Booker only played 10 minutes this game. Now, he had 11 points in 10 minutes, but he exits with right groin soreness according to the team. We’ll obviously keep you up to date if we hear anything else on that. But that means this team was down Devin Booker for a majority of the game. No Grayson Allen, who missed tonight’s game with an illness, and no Jaylen Green, presumably the Suns second best player, who’s only played 30 minutes so far this season. This is a team in the Phoenix Suns, who puts their money where their mouth is. All summer, all we heard was talk about culture and grit and grind and offensive rebounding and a team that fans could be proud of. I can’t tell you how many times during game days I see tweets from Phoenix Suns fans go, “Man, I love this basketball team.” And now it’s starting to pick up some national attention as well. There are people who are finally noticing what’s going on in Phoenix. And I think the scariest part for the rest of the league is this is what they’re doing with Jamari Buouay out there. With all due respect, a two-way player, right? Colin Gillespie, who has been an absolute killer, is on a veterans minimum contract. Was a two-way player last year. Another two-way player last year, right? Mark Williams was a guy that the team that they played tonight said, “No, we won’t trade Dalton Connect who’s a steaming pile of trash for you because of your medicals.” Like, this is a Jordan Goodwin was the last guy to make the roster and he was cut from the Lakers. like this is a a team where and I know I referenced the Patriots like a week ago and obviously that’s a huge huge huge thing to do and not from a okay this is going to be the greatest dynasty that’s ever been in sports but more from the fact of do your job next man up it doesn’t matter who’s injured it doesn’t matter who it is if you’re in our building under our coach we are going to compete and that was a fact tonight again this is a Lakers team that just picked up their fifth loss of the season and it was the Phoenix Suns without their three best offensive players. They had won eight in a row coming into this. This is a Lakers team that had kind of found their way and and the Suns, like we talked about, came in and played defense and are kind of defense that the Lakers hadn’t fully seen this year and it really disrupted them. I mean, you look at their losses, OKC, Portland, like these are teams that play really good defense where you can add the Suns to that list. I I don’t know. Are you guys comic book fans or or comic movie fans at all? Familiar with the Suicide Squad? A group of villains brought together for for to try to, you know, have a good cause. It’s groups of Suicide Squad. Bunch of villains. Yeah. Like you said, do your job. Accountability is a word that I wrote down about this game because playing hard is a skill and people don’t acknowledge that enough. And there’s a certain level of accountability that it requires for an entire team to always play hard regardless of the circumstance. And the Suns have that skill. And on top of that, you mentioned the defense. We talked about how are you going to wrangle this Lakers offense, this potent attack with Luca Donic, Austin Reeves, LeBron James made a note when Austin Reeves checked out with 437 left. The Lakers had 97 points. They finished with 108. Obviously, there was some garbage time mixed in. game was over by then, but to hold that trio, LeBron James had to scratch and claw to keep his double- digit scoring streak alive. Such an incredible defensive effort, which set the tone for what we saw on the offensive end. Stephen, on the defensive end, obviously you look at, okay, the guys won it, they try hard, but schematically it felt like they were really sound in their principles tonight. What did you see from the Phoenix Suns on the defensive end and what might be their best defensive performance of the season? Yeah. Um, the biggest thing that stood out to me was just the activity levels. You forced, was it 21 turnovers for the Lakers, I think it was. And you had almost 20 some odd points off of turnovers for yourself in this game. That was one of that wasn’t the direct key, but the key in terms of activity was the third one for me tonight. And it was for the physicality at the point of attack. How many times did we see clean Lakers drives or clean passes even being made in the half court at times because they were just so on time and on schedule with their rotations. First play that comes to mind for me is the one out of the the halftime break where Lakers come in, they try to move the ball around and the Suns are just on schedule. Every single pass is being met by a defender making a decision and makes them make one more decision. It gets to LeBron in the corner and it ends up being a turnover because he can’t even get up a clean look at the basket or get the ball to the shot pocket for that matter. Suns had 16 steals. The Lakers had one tonight. That right there, that’s everything you need to know. Well, and I think when you look at, okay, the stars of the game, right, Colin Gillespie, Dylan Brooks on the offensive end, who both played good defensive end uh games as well. I look at Ryan Dunn who made his return tonight from a right wrist sprain after missing five games. He was incredible on the defensive end. Jamari Buouay had been extremely active and continues to prove that he is somebody who belongs in the NBA with every single minute that he gets. I thought Royce O’Neal played great defense tonight. Mark Williams had some really great pass breakups, some blocks, and just protecting the rim, plus switching out on the perimeter. This is a tough test, Gil. And to be able to have guys who again aren’t going to be in your starting lineup, right? are guys that are role players for lack of a better term or two-way players to hold their own against some of the best that the league has. There’s just no replacing that type of mentality. Yeah, it’s important you named a bunch of different names because it was definitely a team effort. If you saw a body, then you either seeing a body or feeling a body. They were just making their presence felt on defense as far as clogging passing lanes, clogging driving lanes, being physical on the block, being physical on the perimeter, and just it’s it’s incredible how if you just throw somebody off just ever so slightly, it can throw everything off. And this Suns team has realized that they do it well. They’re connected when they do it as well. And I think that we saw that throughout the course of the game where the Lakers got off to a good start, particularly Luca Donic, but as the game went on, you saw it tail off. And that is the sign of a team’s on the second end of a backto-back that doesn’t really like to run that much. We’re very just made to do the things they don’t like to do. And that discomfort resulted in this result. Look, we have a lot of really great stuff to get into tonight. I I want to take a step back to where we started, which was Colin Gillespie, and acknowledge the fact that this dude went eight of 14 from deep tonight. He was pulling up from the logo and then hit the next one. He’s hitting sideep threes. We are witnessing one of the better shooters that we’ve seen come into Phoenix the last couple of years and he continues to get better. What’s the ceiling on this guy because he continues to improve? Yeah. I mean, if he goes full Connor every night, which he’s going to have to over the next week probably, I mean, you look at it, he was a guy that that was getting triple doubles in the G-League with with ease at times. The ceiling’s extremely high for him, especially as a white boy that’s caught motion right now. So much motion, a lot of motion, the most motion. I think I think there’s a lot of opportunity for him. Uh, and he’s going to have every every chance until, you know, the back court is is back and healthy. He’s going to get every opportunity to go out there and fill a statue. Well, I think you’re at a point now where even if everybody is fully healthy, you need to find a very hefty amount of minutes for him because he’s played incredibly. Yep. I think this is this is I mean this is the benefit. There’s never true bright spot with injuries, but the benefit is he’s gotten the chance to play significant minutes and has raised his game to meet that level. And and now, you know, you can count on him regardless of the rule to come in and help you. And that may give you some additional options on how to find flexibility in the future, too. Yeah, that’s one I think what stands out to me, I know we kind of joke around about like when guys are talking smack, but there were backto-back threes he made. The first one I think the Lakers were just trailing too far. They went under and he said said I make those. Like tell him I’m like y’all better adjust your your your your coverage. And the second one he said this is what I do. And that confidence that he’s playing with that is going to carry over. People talk about how guys are able to find that next level and tap into another levels when it starts to work. And Dylan Brooks said after a game, he’s always in the 5G working. That work is starting to show on the court and when the when the lights are on or this the the theater lighting in crypto is on and and now he’s showing and proving. So, I think that does mean the ceiling kind of raises the more that he does this because the confidence continues to grow. Well, I mean, he even had the guy that played Elvis front row asking who the hell he was and Robbie Hmel asking who he was, too. He didn’t have any clue. I mean, he’s fearless. He’s a winner. All of those tough, gritty, bluecollar, all of those kind of fun, endearing kind of names that you can give someone or ways that you can describe somebody, he wears those qualities every single night to the point where we’re not even surprised that he as a game that he had tonight. You match the opportunity with guys being out for varying reasons and you needing him to step up in multiple capacities on the defensive end with Austin Reeves on the offensive end attacking switches or whoever is guarding him and making them pay whether they made one decision or another. He had a counter for everything they did. That’s just a really good basketball player. And I think he’s also being matched with a system that’s asking for more from him and his skill development being at a great position to time on task and deliver to it. Freckle mamba, can I ask for a big favor here? I we got almost 450 people in here. I need each and every one of you to step up like Colin Gillespie has. Get some memberships and uh be involved because Freckle Mamba, I want this to be a poll in the chat. Your life on the line. Literally life or death. You have two options, okay? You live if either A Colin Gillespie hits a three or B, Dylan Brooks hits a postmidi fadeaway. In-game regular contest. I take both and I’ve got eternal life. Look at that. I win all the way around. Putting your life on the line, Stephen. A Colin Three or a Brooks Midi. Based off the percentages we just showed last week, seven or more dribbles, almost 60%. It’s the Dylan Brooks mini for me right now. That’s as good as a layup right now. Tonight you couldn’t lose really. Yeah, it’s a win-win for you tonight. I’m going Colin with the exception that somebody has to be running and closing out and it’s one dribble to the side. I’m feeling good now. I’m breathing easy, dude. It’s absolutely automatic. See, part of me wants to go Dylan Brooks because we know that it’s it’s been so efficient, but for some reason, I just feel safe with my life in the on the line with Colin Gillespie with the ball in his hands. Like, I I just I feel confident that that guy is going to knock it down when all the marbles are down. Freckled Mamba, what do you think? Are you rolling with a Colin Gillespie 3 or a Dylan Brooks post mini fadeaway? I’m on the side where both of these you’re living either way, but what we saw tonight. I think you got to take the Colin three. And that’s recency. I like it. Look, I like it. You guys let us know. We just put the poll in the chat. Leaf or death. We haven’t. Hey, you said when the marbles are down. I don’t know what that means either. We haven’t celebrated this membership gifting appropriately yet. So, you know the drill. MVP. MVP. MVP. MVP. Almost went two for two. Can we Can we do one more beat LA, please? We can do it at the end. Yeah. Okay. Hit the like button. If they hit 250 in likes, we’ll do the beat. I agree. I agree. Okay. Look, we’ve talked about the stars, but I think the reality is the Suns don’t get Hey, Aaron Wilson gifted a membership. Thank you so much, Aaron. Another one. MVP. MVP. MVP. I was about to do it. I was almost there. I was about to do it. We can like agree like three. I think I think we just got that one. I jumped in late that time, but I I made up for it. Shout out Aaron who we met out at Loco Patrone, uh, who was in a bunch of the chats all the time. So, thank you so much, Aaron, for being a member and gifting memberships. Uh, obviously we’re all a member of the Dylan Brooks and Kong Gillespie fan club, but you don’t get to a 125 108 victory on the road against a team that’s won this many games without your star players if it wasn’t for everybody. So, let’s go ahead and name our dude of the night in his revenge game. #resend this Mark Williams, I would say dominated even if the stats don’t tell that story against the Lakers in just 25 minutes tonight. He put up 13 points, six rebounds, an assist, and two steals and a block, a plus 14. But really that that end of the second quarter run, it was Gillespie, Buouay, Brooks, O’Neal, and Williams, and Espo. They just started running their offense through Mark Williams who was running the floor. The big veto out there just embracing everything and everyone out there. I loved it tonight what he brought. We talked about how he would go out there and he’d outwork a certain other center that was on the floor. Maybe the box score wouldn’t look like it, but he did. And uh it was it was what you wanted from him. He protected the rim, which altered a lot of shots and even even some that they made, but he made them work to get it right. And then you look at what he was able to do offensively, cutting down the lane, getting those dunks, uh catching a body even when he didn’t uh get a dunk to draw fouls. The aggressiveness was great. He was six of eight and he did it in just 25 minutes, which is another great thing for him. Yeah, I was most impressed watching him run the floor. Obviously, we talked about just the the energy and the effort that was going to be there, but watching him play like on a possession to possession in contrast to his matchup tonight. He plays big and it’s one thing to play big just with the things that you’re doing, but like Mark Williams is not a small guy, but he doesn’t cower with his posture when he’s playing on the court. So, he takes up a lot of space whether he’s screening, whether he’s in help, whatever it is, it makes a difference. And those are the little things that don’t necessarily show up on the stat sheet that I see when I watch Mark Williams play. And it’s only going to get better as the season goes on and he feels better and more comfortable in this role. And maybe the minutes get larger, too. It’s exciting to see because this should be this kind of the bottom level and things should get better from here. Well, and like Jeff says too, he runs fast. Like he’s always running down the court. Yeah, he does. Uh Usain Bull, right here? Yeah, Usain Bull. I mean that was what you called him. Yeah. Big you saying both vows anytimes he’s anytime he’s rim running. But I really enjoyed his defensive disposition tonight. So whether he was showing help and just being a presence around the basket, whether literal rim protection or the rim deterrence that we’ve talked about where his presence it felt like Gil just got done making a point to. And guys think about him when he’s around the basket whether he goes to attempt to block the shot or he’s just there in the presence of it. uh that part of it. And then the other part, especially in pick and roll with this group, we talked about all of the top end talents that they had coming into tonight’s game. Mark was very calm. He wasn’t overreacting to things that were happening with the players on the ball, trusting his guys that were guarding the ball to navigate screens, but also being there once it broke a certain point to step over and impact the release of the shot. That understanding of your distance of impact as someone that’s contesting shots so often like Mark Williams is, that’s as important as anything that comes with discernment, knowing when to go for a shot, the timing with which to do so, and how to impact the release. He’s been really good with that, espe especially in pick and roll. And that’s just one part of why he’s been so solid for the team. And I feel like he played exactly the way that they needed him to on the defensive end tonight. Yeah. just plays within himself and doesn’t try to do too much. And I think that’s why sometimes it can feel almost like some of the stuff just sneaks up on you that he’s doing because he just goes out there and he does his job. Well, and I feel like the Suns are doing a better job of finding him when he is running the floor or when he is feeling it. And and it seems like if he’s not having big statistical games, he’s having big statistical moments, right? Where it’s like five or six possessions in a row on both ends of the court, he just kind of locks in and shifts the game. I think the thing for me, Gil, that has surprised you the most from transferring from Charlotte to here is just how athletic this guy is, right? We know, okay, he’s dominant, he’s big, he’s got the touch around the rim, he can get up, but there’s a lot of different types of athleticism and just overall, even down to dexterity, he’s the total package. Yeah. I mean, it’s very rare you see a guy with those physical tools as far as his height and his strength that are as coordinated as he is, right? in that second jump. Sometimes you don’t get the first bounce, you jump back up like that. Those are things that really set apart guys like that as far as athleticism goes. And you know, you talk about, it’s funny, you always hear broadcasters say, “Hey, young players, watch this. Do this.” Mark Williams is a perfect example of that, right? Running the floor and his teammates reward him for doing it. And obviously, it’s human nature. You get rewarded for doing it, you’re going to keep doing it, right? So seeing him do that and put all the pieces together, seeing the comfort grow, the chemistry grow, all that together is a is a great formula for him to continue to stay within himself and also show that staying within yourself isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Yeah. He’s also so good with his footwork. Yeah. I think his for someone so tall with such a a large torso area, that midsection, it’s hard to be coordinated both with your hands and your feet. And it never really feels like Marcus like tripping over his sho strings or tumbling over his feet. Even when he’s on the defensive end and picking road coverage when he’s backpedaling or if he’s sliding, he’s very much kind of in sync. He’s not, you know, choppy with his with his moving patterns. He’s very fluid. And I don’t think that’s something that’s very common amongst the footers. If you’re 7 foot or taller, it usually comes with a little bit of a lack of footwork just because you’re not supposed to be able to move that fluidly in space as a tall human being. But Mark towes that line very well and then naturally once the starting blocks get going and he’s on off the to the races on the offensive end there’s few centers that are faster than him at that too because the big veto can do it all. Yeah, I look Esco, can I get the breaking news sounder? Breaking news. It’s Rusty Mambing News has gifted the people. He has given the people what they want. A Colin Gillespie hype emoji. If the Suns keep playing like this, we’re going to replace every single emoji in our members club with Suns emojis. If you want this custom emoji, plus access to exclusive content like extra parts of Steven’s breakdowns and so much more, you can do so by hitting that join button, which is usually where that subscribe button is. So, make sure you go ahead and hit that and become a member today. I I think the last thing that I want to talk about with Mark is the fact that he’s making this big of an impact, but still staying under 30 minutes per game. Tonight, just 25 minutes. And I think the Suns have done a better job of sustaining the non Mark Williams minutes as of late. I don’t know if you noticed, but there was one Suns player who didn’t play tonight. Nick Richards. Nick Richards. Uh maybe it’s the birthday hangover. Maybe it’s just the fact that OSO’s giving you some pretty solid minutes getting 21 off of the bench. Not a crazy statline for OSO, but I think he played really good defense. Do we think this is now where the Suns center rotation is at in a twoman game? I think that’s more matchup dependent than anything. Um Nick hasn’t been the best with the pick and roll coverages the last couple of games. Not specific to him. Some of it has been their navigation and screens at times. But this was just kind of one of those moments where they felt like, okay, we’re getting more than enough from Mark and then Oso’s coming in and bringing what he’s brought the last like three to four games now on the defensive end. We got enough. Let’s rock out. That’s because basketball psycho Jordan Au is just pulling all the right levers. He’s just in in the lab going, “Not today. Sorry, Nick. You sit there. I’m going to go with this guy. We’re going to move this way.” And it seems like at least most of the time he’s he’s finding the right mix to get it done. Yeah, I think that’ll be the measure of, you know, of Nick’s fit with this culture in this team. If he’s ready when his numbers called again, cuz it’s going to get called again. You talk about it being match up dependent. Who knows? It could be Friday. with all the big they have waiting on Friday. It could very well be Friday. So stay ready so you don’t have to get ready and that’ll be a big thing cuz we could be back here talking about the fit and him maybe bouncing back and and showing something for himself. So, you know, we’ll see. It’s a good opportunity. I think that’ll be a big test for him moving forward. Look, all we know is that Mark Williams has been everything that Suns fans have wanted from him. Uh definitely deserving blue collar boy of the night, but I’ll be honest with you, there were a couple of other names that were in strong contention. That’s the identity of this team. So, we’re going to talk about those guys. Plus, we’ll look at the numbers and we’ll get into so much more on a beat LA edition of the PHNX Suns postgame show on the other side of our second break. We’ve been aligned since the press conference. Yeah, we’ve been aligned and it’s turned from a joke to like a legitimate feeling. It was never a joke. It was definitely a joke. It was never a joke. A way of life is correct. Gil, uh, one real quick stat before we keep talking about the variety of bluecollar boys the Suns have in their 125 108 victory over the Lakers. Dylan Brooks hit 10 shots in a row without a miss tonight. Might want to change my answer. Just like we predicted it. Why I said what I said. 10 shots in a row without a miss. None of them were none of them were open. No. Well, there was one jelly layup that he went, “Ah.” He got around and then opened. Even that took some creativity. Look, 10 shots in a row. Look, we’ll get to your super chats. There are there are things that you could use that have been mid-range assassins in comparison to that. I will not do that. But if you do choose to, tonight is the one night you will get away with it. It’s justified tonight. 100%. At least he might need to change his number to 23. I thought anybody wants to indulge. This is the night to take advantage of it. So, sorry. No, didn’t mean to disrespect Charlotte Hornet’s former owner, uh, Michael Jordan. Oh, I thought I thought we were talking about Kelly Ubé. Okay. Same thing. Uh, look, obviously this has been a great night. Hit the like button. Hit the subscribe button. Help us get to 250 likes here. I think we need to talk about Royce O’Neal. Have to Royce O’Neal tonight. Uh, six points. Okay. Seven rebounds. Okay. 11 assists to one turnover and a plus 20 on the night. They took us to They took one away cuz somebody bet over 11 instead of over 10. And so they took one away. I know. I know. I wasn’t tripping. At one point he had 12. And I just double checked the buy score and it’s talking about 11. But they’ve been doing that. They’ve been taking away rebounds and stuff. Taking away threes. Taking Yeah. Yeah. That’s a big deal. Should have 36 points tonight. They should. Yeah. Yeah. To that point, right? But to Royce with the playmaking side of things, I think this is another testament to you lose Deon Booker who’s your primary initiator, your primary playmaker. And who steps up? Royce O’Neal. Who said we don’t have a point guard? There you 11 assists from Royce O’Neal. But but again, okay, so his shot has been okay, not great lately. So what do you do? He went out and found a way to impact the game with his passing and his rebounding tonight. That’s the that’s this entire team. You see Jordan Goodwin crashing the boards. You see guys, uh, you know, hitting shots that they don’t usually do. They just kind of fill in the gaps when it happens. That’s what winners do, right? shots not falling, something’s not going your way. Somebody goes down, you need to step up and figure out how to make your presence felt and you do it. And that’s exactly what he did tonight. You could see that he was really feeling it, too. Like the playmaking, he did the eye goggles at one point after he made a nice little pass. So, you know, they’re having fun out there doing this. Setting your guys up is fun. A lot of guys have more fun. Seeing their their teammates have success, and that’s another trait that I like with this team. Everybody’s really cheering for one another’s success, and they genuinely look like they enjoy playing with one another. And we saw with Royce O’Neil’s playmaking tonight. Yeah. I mean, this is just another example of the good teams always just find a way. Yeah. Injuries, foul trouble, what have you. Everybody just has the I’ll step up and do something different or I’ll step up and do more mindset. Everybody pieces that together. You come away with what might just be their most impressive win of the season when it’s all said and done. When you apply the many different context of what they were lacking in today’s game and what that other team came into tonight’s game with the buildup to it all, that’s a special win, man. That’s a very special win. As Freckle Mama said, I’ll do it. Oh, yeah. I was going to say, I’ll do it. Yeah. Uh I have one beef with Royce O’Neal tonight. It’s a pretty big one. What do you screw your bed up or something? No, that was that’s all my own doing. Oh, yeah. You have to hit the shot when you break somebody’s ankles. Like that is a that is a permanent highlight reel forever moment if you hit that shot. And Royce definitely definitely needed to hit that one. Uh two other names, actually I probably got like three other names I want to talk about in the bluecollarness. And I want to start with a guy who played 23 minutes tonight and was a plus 19, the third highest on the team. It’s Jamari Buouay. Seven points, three of three from the field, 101 from deep. Also added five assists and three steals. Yeah, Jamari Buouay is an NBA player. The Suns are going to have an interesting conversation when it comes to that final roster spot. Yeah, circumstance and situation speaks so much. Jamari Buouay was trying to figure out and find the right spot for him. He’s definitely found it now. And I think about those steals when you start talking about his stat line. I remember him making shots and again being in the right place in the right time. But I just remember him kind of sneaking in and getting in the passing lane and getting a steal and creating more opportunities for this team. And it’s just the fact that like relentless is a great way to describe this team because when you bring another guy in and he continues to bring the energy just like Jamari Buouay does and he doesn’t matter if he’s going to get seven minutes, 15 minutes, or 23 minutes like he did tonight, you know what you’re going to get from him and it’s really fun to see. Yeah, I like that he doesn’t really hesitate when he’s on the floor on either end. But he also makes quick decisions. He’s never caught in what they call lags where you’re in limbo between doing one thing or doing another. And oftent times the worst thing you can do is just not do anything because there’s just nothing happening and you can just be taken advantage of. And Jamari really understands his role with the team. There’s moments where you can see them thinking as far as their synergy because he’s only been with the team for about a little over a week at this point or close to a week rather. But outside of that, if you told him that he had to come in and he would have had to play this role for this first three or four games with the team and you saw that this was the result, I think everybody would say, “Oh, they probably haven’t lost a game in this stretch because he’s been so good.” Obviously, they went, I think, one and two with him or something like that right now. But when he’s been on the floor, they’ve been a plus. And for someone that’s coming in into a firestorm of injuries and whatnot, that’s all you can ask for. Well, again, credit to Brian Gregory as well. They could have easily just kept CJ Huntley as a two-way guy and been like, “You know what? We’ve got our three guys, but they looked across the league, they said, how can we get better? What can we do?” And they saw uh Buouay playing in the GLeague having some some success, wasn’t on a two-way deal. They went and got him. And guess what? Pays immediate dividends when he gets uh gets playing time up here with the Suns. They they have pulled all the right levers. They pushed all the right buttons when it’s come to that and they’re utilizing the G-League team uh the right way. I know I sound like a broken record, but for years this franchise did not do that. In fact, they sold their G-League team to Detroit at one point for $2 million. What an unserious franchise. Like they they literally just sold off their G-League team and now they’re actually using it in the way that the league intended it and why they wanted all 30 teams to have a G-League. Yeah. How can you do that to Jaylen McHugh’s Northern Arizona Suns? I mean, it’s just disrespectful. I I will say this about Jamari. Right now, he’s playing the Colin Gillespie role for this team because he’s your energy guard off the bench and he’s playing pretty damn good. The same thing with Colin where you saw him in spurts and you’re like, damn, this guy just belongs, right? I’m getting that same feeling with him. Now, obviously, not everybody’s going to do the the whole bloom that Colin has had this season, and obviously Colin has worked hard and deserved that, but it’s been really nice to just watch him fit in so effortlessly. And you said it’s only been a week, Stephenish, that he’s been with the team. Well, it’s been the best damn week of my life cuz that guy can hoop. Uh, one more. You’re lucky your wife isn’t in this chat right now. Look, best week of your life. It’s obviously I’m joking. I’m joking. Uh, two more names and again so many candidates for blueco collar boy of the night. Jordan Goodwin tonight 13 points, three of seven from deep, five assists and three steals. That’s six steals between Jordan Goodwin and Jamari Buouay off the bench and 10 assists. By the way, adding two more steals onto that along with eight rebounds and six points. Ryan Dunn in his return tonight in 21 minutes was all over the court rebounding like crazy and playing really, really good defense on Luca. probably the best defense on Luca that we’ve seen him play in his entire career. Those three guys off the bench are phenomenal for the Suns. Oh, Ryan Dunn with the putback dunk. I think that’s got to be the love the play of the game by our friends over at Arizona Lottery. Play and gift today if you’re over the age of 21. You should. Great for the holiday season. So is Ryan Dunn stuffing some stockings uh with that dunk tonight. had that fast twitch. It got up there uh and wristen seemed to be bothering him when he uh flushed that one home. Yeah, it’s one way to announce your arrival that you’re back on the court. Like it was interesting too cuz we said it like a couple plays before I was like, man, he’s really active on the offensive glass. You might not have noticed it because it didn’t really result in anything and then boom. And he was like, “Oh yeah, I’m here. I’m comfortable.” Like that time off didn’t do anything. That layoff young athletic legs we saw him out there making his presence felt. activity goes so far um in this league and especially for a team like the Suns that have the identity that they have and Ryan Dunn stepping in six-man role doing it. We didn’t know if he was going to start or not, but he looked very comfortable out there and you couldn’t really tell that he had missed as much the time as he did. Yeah, he came back into a good situation. Team was the team was confident um even amidst all of the injuries and he just seamlessly fit right in. I think him being being brought off the bench was the right move by Jordan Company so that he wouldn’t feel any pressure. he could just come in and play his game. And we saw him do just that. Comes in picking up full court, forcing guys to turn a couple times, solid on switches, defended without fouling for the most part. Very solid return back to the lineup for Ryan Dunn. And we saw him have multiple flashes of athleticism going for the offensive rebounds, too. Yeah, it was immediate impact. And you saw those flashes last year with rebounding all the time where he would just go and grab one. You’re like, how the hell did he grab that? And now I feel like he’s doing it in a more consistent and effective way. Obviously, when you look at the jump shot 02 from deep tonight, it hasn’t been that step that we’ve wanted from him, but he’s continued to show that he will have a place in this league for a long time with just everything else that he’s able to do. How many players tonight, if I had to ask you guys, that played legitimate minutes, so over 10 minutes tonight did not record a steal for the Suns? One. I won’t look. It’s in front of me. I over 10 minutes. over 10 minutes are over. So, we’re including book everybody but Rashir Fleming and Kaman Malawatch. Uh, yeah, I’ll guess two. I got the I got the answer sheet in front of me, but I’ll say I’ll guess two. I didn’t look to be fair. I didn’t either. I didn’t either. Eyes eyes up. I’m going one. I’m in the middle. One and a half. One and a half. Okay, it’s one. Devin Booker is the only player tonight who did not get a steal. Royce had one. Dylan had one, Mark had two, Colin had two, Nigel Hayes Davis had one, Oso had one, Ryan had two, Jordan Goodwin had three, Jamari Buouay had three. That’s just one taste of the numbers. We’ll get to the rest of the numbers. We’ll read your super chats and we’ll round things out on 125 108 victory for your Phoenix Suns over the Los Angeles Fakers. And we’ll do it all on the other side of our final at break. Of course, PHNX Suns is brought to you by our friends over at Bet365. Presented by Desert Financial Credit Union, Arizona’s number one credit union, named by Forbes. Of course, Stephen, the only number that matters is 125 to 108. The Phoenix Suns take home a victory, but there were a lot of resounding wins in the statistical departments tonight. Yeah. Uh, start with that field goal percentage because the way they were shooting the basketball tonight, both from the field in general and also from the three-point line independently, 43.6% on 39 attempts. That’s a recipe for winning the game on any given night regardless of what the context of the game is. You shoot like that, you’re probably going to win the game. And the fact that they only had eight free throw attempts, so crazy. Only had eight free throw attempts and got up 12 more field goal attempts than the Lakers did. That’s a recipe for winning games, man. I think the other one that really stands out to me, though, me being true to the defensive side of the ball in terms of what continues to stand out for me with them, the Lakers had 41 field goals made, only 18 assists. Mhm. That means they were playing a lot of stagnant, predictable, one-on-one play where guys are self-creating for themselves or it’s just not moving around the court and someone’s taking shots late in the shot clock. That’s a recipe for sustainable success for the Suns. Do you realize the Sunshot 57450 tonight? Yeah. Yeah. Shot 50% at the line and still kick somebody had no impact on the game at all. That’s crazy. That’s crazy. I like that you pointed out the assist numbers, discussed all that, too. Still thinking about the the four free throw line, but a lot of those possessions, they kind of fell into the Suns trap and like that’s exactly what they wanted them to do. They kind of like I think that that is what the blueprint is of beating this Lakers team. They don’t really want to run. The fast break points obviously not on there, but 28 to2. Suns had 28 fast break points. The Lakers had two. They were one for one in fast break opportunities. And on the flip side, the Suns almost doubled the Lakers assist. 35 assists on 52 field goals. Sharon the sugar. Roy Sono had 11. We talked about two guys off the bench had five assists. Everybody I mean you talk about it everybody who played more than 10 minutes had at least one assist. So you got everybody out here making their presence felt and sharing the ball. How can you run when Luca is your point guard when you got a 40, you know, 41year-old LeBron James out there like uh you got DA doesn’t like to run. You got you got a center that would prefer not to. Re is too busy throwing his head back and foul baiting to run up the court. They don’t want to run. Uh, okay. Total steals and blocks combined for the Los Angeles Lakers tonight, one steel, zero blocks. I think maybe the Suns didn’t get to the free throw line a ton because nobody was contesting their shots like that. That is an all-time pathetic performance. Now, the Lakers are on the second night of a backtoback, but they rested LeBron to play the Phoenix Suns cuz the Suns is are everybody’s Super Bowl at this point. And to to be able to go in on the road and take care of business like they did against a Lakers team who has a clear strength and a clear weakness, they took advantage of it is just so great for this team. We we’ll get to super chats here in a second. 16 of the Lakers 22 turnovers. with live ball turnovers. 16 of their 22 turnovers were of the live ball variety. That is insane. That key number three, we don’t I’m not going to have him bring it up because Book was involved with it. We don’t want to rehash that part. We spoke on it. The activity part, if you force 16 live ball turnovers alone, it doesn’t matter if they only had 16 turnovers in the game. You get 16, you get double digit live ball turnovers, you’re doing something well. And they were again just in Lakers jerseys tonight consistently. I I knew the Bus family had sold the Lakers. I just didn’t know they sold them to the Suns because they owned them. Uh Royce O’Neal, courtesy of Dwayne Rankin, who’s always out there with the team. His quote after the game says, quote, “It shows we have no quit. We always are going to fight for all 48 minutes next man up mentality on playing after losing Devin Booker and then also on his 11 assists to tie his careerh high.” quote, “It’s just a different game when Book goes out.” I know that we don’t want to spend too much time on Deon Booker because a lot of it would be conjecture, but Jordan did say that Deon Booker hurt himself on a drive and finish over Jackson Hayes in the first quarter. Um, I do remember he did take a little bit of a spill after that. Didn’t seem like he was fine, but uh, no surprise if there’s an injury against the Lakers, Jackson Hayes is usually at the crime scene. What do Devin Booker and an Elf have in common on in December? They always are on a shelf. Yep. I mean, this this is now seven of the last nine seasons in either December or January. Devin Booker has been out with a a groin or a hamstring injury. Uh Kellen Olsen had that stat online and I think that that is just a crazy crazy thing to look at and this schedule gave no favors in terms of of that. a lot of stress put uh on him and a lot of these guys. So yeah, the schedule I know it feels like a redundant conversation that takes place every season, but this season in particular leaguewide, it feels like every team has been succumbing to some top tier player, if not multiple top tier players being sidelined because of soft tissue injuries. and you look at their schedule and through the first quarter of the season, they’ve played three to five back to backs. That’s including travel with some of those as well. So, there’s no real recovery that’s taking place between games when you’re operating like that. That’s very tough on the body. And again, for it to be happening this early in the season and we have so much many so many more games left to play and so much more to be determined, not ideal. Yeah. And it’s the reason that it’s the stars, right? These are the guys who are being used. They have the highest usage. they’re playing the most. And you know, we talk about whatever how you feel about guys resting. This is the reason why sometimes they try to lighten the workload for these guys because it wears you down. Like the Suns need their star out there playing 30 plus minutes and when that happens, it piles up a lot. I’m going back and looking at the play where I presume he got injured and it seemed like a pretty innocent play, you know, but like he falls down and tumbles a little bit and then he was back on the bench and in street clothes by the end of the game. So hopefully that means it’s not that serious obviously, but uh you know, good thing that this 3-day layoff couldn’t have come at a much better time. Yeah, and obviously we’ll let you know at PHX Suns. We get the latest update with Devin Booker. You’re right, Gil. I think the fact that he was back out there in street clothes. Either it was to show off the Mr. Rogers fit Espo or it was, you know, a good sign that that he was back there. We do need to talk about we get in super chats. The Peacock broadcast completely fumbled the situation. Uh, if you were following PHNX Suns, we had the news first. Let’s just pull back the curtain. We were sitting here and it had gone almost what a half a quarter. It was like four minutes. It was nobody. The internet was talking about how Deon was on the bench. Peacock literally has a reporter on the bench. Robbie H on the bench broadcast. Literally, what are you doing? Nobody acknowledges it. So, we texted the Suns and got the info here before any before somebody on the broadcast asked the question. It’s insane to me. Look, let’s go ahead and get to some super chats here because I I believe that’s one of the topics that we have in super chats. Let’s go ahead and jump uh to that one. Billy Barton 968 says, “Booker goes out injured and Peacock didn’t even mention it. Blows my mind how they refuse to treat him like a star.” Unbelievable. I don’t even think that this was like a oh, we don’t care about Devin Booker. I think that’s a broadcast that is very much in its infancy that did not know what was going on. Well, I mean to be fair, Robbie Hmel is sitting next to one of the biggest stars in Hollywood. No clue who he was. Which by the way, uh the Suns posted a picture of Deon Booker and Austin Butler chopping it up. So, uh Devin Booker confirmed really big Elvis fan. Uh things that we learn when the Suns play the Lakers. One King to another. Also known as Bobby with a $10 super chat. Thanks, Bobby. Says, “Love this win for our guys. Goodie getting his back. Brooks showing his play isn’t a fluke. Williams making the Lakers regret life. And Kong Gillespie getting more national attention. Love this team. And they got his name right. Yeah, I was say I think the coolest thing about this is that it was in front of a national TV audience. So like it’s no more this under the radar stuff. We hope you see what’s going on here in Phoenix. Now everybody got a chance to see it because they put a real beating on one of the media darlings. Yeah, this was a lot there was a lot of storylines today. Obviously, Booker and Luca were trading buckets off the beginning. That’s a big storyline. DeAndre Aton playing the Suns. That’s a big storyline. Jordan Goodwin got cut by this team, right? You’ve got Mark Williams with a trade rescended to this team. And then at the end of the game, you had LeBron James trying not to snap his 10-point score streak since 2007, which I guarantee that’s all that will be said on ESPN. Yeah, LeBron James continues historic streak as the Lakers lose to the Suns. LeBron James. Sun score 125, but LeBron James continues his streak. That’s the Lakers would have had under 100 points if it wasn’t for LeBron James. I I think my favorite subtext was Dylan Brooks going up against Bronny James and talking a little crap to him. I could only imagine what that would have sounded like. And Dylan was going back and forth with LeBron. Dylan did the LeBron shrug to LeBron in this game. By the way, uh Oh, for sure says the NBA YouTube page hasn’t released the highlights yet. They usually have those up like that. They’re trying to see what Lakers highlights they can scroll together. They’re like, “Okay, it’s just all of Luca’s buckets for the first quarter.” They’ll be like, “Yo, you watch Lucas 20 first quarter.” They post Luca’s either quarter or entire game cuz he had like 389 and seven. Uh they post that before they post the full game highlights. Like Luca Donuch continues leading scoring run with 38 points against the Suns parenthesis and a loss. Uh, Mesa for teens. Kev aka Kev in the chat who’s like shadowb blocked by half of our chat. It doesn’t make any sense. We see your super chat though. Uh, says, “Get me a Colin Gillespie emoji ASAP. #theprocessor.” Well, freckled Mamba got you that emoji and then blocked you. And then blocked you. How do we feel about the processor for Gillespie? I I’ve enjoyed it. I’m not mad at it. Was cool. It’s no big veto, but it’s good. Big veto is good. Uh, Big Vita also sounds like an Italian player. Somebody also said, uh, uh, Connor Jeppe always cooking in the kitchen. Uh, now I’m offended as an Italian. Like, uh, Mike in the chat, what’s up? Mike says with a 199 super chat, Mark Williams might be the fastest sevenfooter in NBA history. Well, Wimy Wimy’s a Oh, not NBA history. In the NBA, sorry. I was say we’ll turn. Sorry, I got a little carried away there, folks. Um, he’s up there. He’s up there. He’s up there. WBY. Giannis. I mean, Giannis is probably like foot speed the fastest. Um, WBY just has the advantage being that tall. Legs that long. He gets down the court in three steps. How tall is Jaylen Johnson now? I feel like he grows every time that he plays basketball. Not quite so. He’s close. Uh, man. Yeah. Who else would even be in that conversation? This is It’s a short list. It is a very short list. Jakola Vousvich, Ysef Nerkich, Kevin Love. Uh Clint Capella used to be in that com. Yeah, Clint prime Clint Capella. Wow. Uh Kevin Durant 7 foot, but he don’t really be sprinting like that anymore. KD don’t sprint on the court. He don’t need to. No. Trevor, thank you Trevor with the 199 super chat. Trevor’s been around for a long time, so we always appreciate you. Says, “Great win. Get Book a new groin. Need Green back.” Yeah, I’m I’m hoping I’m hoping Booker’s stint on the shelf isn’t too long because the schedule is unforgiving and having not just your second best scorer and your third best offensive player not be around to also have your best player not around. That’s a lot. That’s a lot to deal with. I think we were just destined to never see Katie and Book ever. Think it like the the freaking Rockets game is on Friday, man. That sucks. cuz I don’t know, man. Like I I feel like they’re just going to continue to be cautious and they’re also kind of playing with found money right now. It’s just he’s had these injuries before. Two December ago or two December that he was injured ago, he missed like 20 games and then one time he came back on Christmas and played like five minutes and then was out. So at this point, you’re going to play it safe. Hopefully, it’s just precautionary and he’s fine and maybe these three days off helps, but my gut tells me we will not be seeing Devin Booker versus Kevin Durant. But it’s okay because Dylan Brooks and Kevin Durant should hopefully be playing against each other on Friday. Bees with the $2 super chat says, “Dare I say we might have found our Spolstra.” Yeah, don’t want to speak too soon and put that pressure on Jordan, but again, talked about it when they hired him. The guys that come from the film room are built different. They have a very specific set of skills. And you want to shout out uh who’s that? Liam N. Yeah, shout out Liam N for that. Um but those guys are just built different. They understand the things that teams need. They understand how to get certain things out of guys in a way that’s different from a coach that maybe just came up and immediately was gifted an opportunity to be on the sideline. I just bolster why are we aiming so low? We found our Phil Jackson, found our red hour back. I will say what the Suns are doing this season is like very eerily reminiscent of Heat culture because every year the Miami Heat just finds some dude who is this guy and it’s just like it’s like hey Smith that’s a fake name and then all of a sudden he’s playing like legitimate playoff rotation minutes, right? So it it does feel a little bit like the hell who the hell’s Jamari Buouay? Oh, he’s just giving you highly positive minutes for the Suns after being with the team for a week. We know he’s not a creative player because nobody would give that hairline to their creator. That’s just rude. I’m going to steer away from that conversation. Uh, by the way, the poll, who’s your bluecollar boy of the night? Mark Williams 45%, Jamari Buouay 37%, Ryan Dunn 15%, and other 3%. Jamari Bouet love, we love to see it. Yeah, for sure. I mean, somebody said the whole team, which Yeah, I was that’s what I was going to say. you you have this type of win with all that adversity. That’s a blue collar effort from everybody. Is Jordan not our blueco collar boy of the night? Why not add? No, seriously. Cuz when you talked about coming from the field room and being built different, there’s that, but also there’s definitely something that he has as a personality to get through to this team. When you couple that, the result is what you see tonight. I know there’s a little bit of military green that’s a reason why behind that, but I’m sure people don’t want to have that conversation. is unbelievable. I was like, wait, was did Jordan not serve in the military? No, he just played for Michigan State. Uh, so Sean, I appreciate you manplaining it. I got the reference that Spra and came from the film room. I was just being sarcastic. Uh, I I do feel like Jordan is is going to start entering like conversations that these national pundits have soon because look, we we mentioned it, the hot start. Okay, it’s found money, whatever. They’re playing bad teams. That was the narrative for the Suns. Right now, they’ve beaten the Timberwolves. They beat the Spurs again. They were in a really close game against OKC, which for basically national coverage at this point is a win if you make them play until the end of the game. And then they come out here and they beat a Lakers team that’s redot that was fully healthy. And they do it without Devin Booker, Jaylen Green, and Grayson Allen. This guy’s going to start to get some buzz. Kong Gillespie is going to continue to get some buzz as well. and rightfully so in all fronts. It’s it’s a very impressive performance we’re seeing as a rookie head coach from Jordan. It feels like down to the the most challenges in the NBA. Yeah. Like he he is all over it immediately. Credit to him in his uh his press conference where somebody asked him about that uh Army Green uh being a tie as one of the reasons why he was hired and him like just getting dead serious and saying, “I earned this.” You’re damn right you did and you’re proving it a month and a half in. We talk about it. He should be mad. Brian Gregory should have been mad for that. But you know, the best way to shut people up is to prove them wrong. And that’s what they’re doing. Absolutely. They are proving them wrong. Charles, I would like to say if you want me to apologize, then you need to apologize to Eric. I feel like Big Brother stepping up for me. Hold on. What does he want you to apologize for? For picking the Lakers, being smart, being good-look. I mean, you know what? I predicted the Lakers were going to win tonight. Yes. So did other people. I did too. And and and I did say I said I hope I’m wrong. And then I said And then I said I said the same thing. And I said if the Suns win, it won’t be close. I did say that. We can run it back. I also said nine or 11 points. I didn’t say 17, but I did say if the Suns win, it won’t be close. You do deserve the credit for this one though. Hey, like for you know who Eric should apologize for betting on this. Disgusting. No, I should have asked it and literally cheering for it. Absolutely should not. Uh Gil does deserve the the credit for this victory. He switched up where he sat in in our little seating area and he had been there for a couple losses in a row. So switched it up. Suns go out there. Suns win. Not a jinx. No, not a jinx. By the way, super close to our like goal about 25 likes away. So let’s smash that as we keep reading these super chats here. Uh Edgar, thank you Edgar with the $2 super chat. Yeah, by we don’t do moral victories. So, we’re not gonna get we’re not gonna give credit for being close to the goal. The goal is the goal. No, no, no. I’m just that’s the way this works. Yeah. Yeah. We have plenty of people in here to hit that. $2 from Edgar says, “Guys, who’s been the MVP for the Suns this year? My vote?” Jordan. Colin Gillespie. Dylan Brooks. I think it might be Colin. I think the fact that we could have different answers and one of them isn’t Devin Booker says about everything you need to know about this team. Yes, sir. Uh my vote is for Jamari Buouay. Uh human being 520. Great name. Uh says, “If I was an NBA player, I’d be Dylan Brooks, but worse. JPEG Mafia. Dylan was in his bag tonight. Lol. Did you see him high-five Luca after the free throw? Dylan was in classic Dylan mode tonight, but it was the antics with the the results for 10 straight impact like the shot making was awesome. The defense was smothering and the antics were on point. He even got what was it? Another DX chop or like a half 12 and a halfk fine instead of a $25,000 fine for that one. I love a guy that doesn’t care. You know what? I already gave $35,000. Let’s go back in on that one. I I I like I like that being the balance, though. It’s not one piece lingering over the other. It’s all of it. That’s what this team is going to need for them to reach their ceiling this season. When you played ball, you know, was was a guy like that I mean, everybody says as fans, you love him when he’s on your team, you hate him when he isn’t. You know, did you have experience with guys like that? I had experience a lot of guys who I hated that they weren’t on my team and I hated them. Yeah, for sure. And it’s funny like Yeah, but you you want to, you know, have a guy like that in your locker room. is probably when you have a guy like that in your locker room, you don’t even realize that he’s like that cuz he’s in your locker room until you go against him. Um, but yeah, it is funny to go against guys who like, you know, get themselves going, like to talk a lot, stuff like that, and you’re just like, man, I can’t I I want to shut you up so bad. I please like stop. But the fact that, like you said, he’s performing, you can’t do nothing because scoreboard talks it. Uh, before we get to some interesting super chats from BMOC, clearly in a different way. Uh, Billy with a 9999 super chat. This is the one that initially brought up the the Peacock broadcast disrespecting Devon Booker says, “I guarantee if Luca was missing, that’s all that would have talked about. I guarantee if Luca was missing, Adam Silver would have shut down the game.” They would they would had the FBI, the SWAT team. Everybody be looking for Luca. So, where’s Luca? Oh, it’s the buffet. Damn it. Grab him. No seconds. Uh, okay. Hey, hey, no fat shaming Luca. No, he’s No, he’s not fat anymore. It’s a healthy Empic is good. It’s a healthy buffet. It’s a salad buffet. He’s just getting scoops full of the mini chopped ham, though. Uh, some super chats from BC Clearly. $5 from BCOM C clearly. My job picking with me. I So, if y’all don’t hear from me, just know I’m in jail. And then on top of that, Booker, I’m going to jail tomorrow. No snatch. Uh, I really hope you’re not going to jail tomorrow. B Compsy Clearly. Yeah, we hope you we hope to see you in the chat for our 3pm show tomorrow. I also hope you’re not really on top of Deon Booker in that. Well, maybe that’s why you’re going to jail. I don’t know. Is that why is that why he’s growing the store? I I don’t I don’t know. Oh, free heritin in the chat. Free be calm. See clearly. That’s so real. Oh, well, there’s another one from becom as well. Another $5 from BCOM. See clearly. Wall said on lovehate thing. Tell this post to leave propaganda to politicians. That’s how I feel about the NBA/Lakers. Overrated. Clap clap clap clap. Salute. Salute. Uh we wish you the best. Be calm. See Clara as always. We really hope you’re doing okay and really hope you’re not going to jail. Like and that’s the thing with be calm. like it’s either the most serious post you’ve ever seen or like the most ridiculous and that one felt like half and half. So I I don’t know whether to really be worried or not. Uh but please update us if you can tomorrow. I’m upset we don’t have a postgame show till Friday and that’s usually when Be Comccal. Help us get over that. more than enough of you to hit that on a 125 108 victory for the Suns who now move to 13-9 on the season, 500 on the road. Get three days off before facing the Houston Rockets for the second time this season on Friday. Just carry, you know, carry through what you did tonight into Houston with or without Devin Booker. If you play defense like that, if you bring uh that mentality offensively and you get that many fast break points, you will be in a game with anybody in this league, including one of the best. So, just bottle it up and bring it on to Friday and uh get some rest in the meantime. Winning’s fun, man. And and winning like that is definitely fun. This team has a fun brand of basketball. You watching guys step up, watching guys grow into new roles, watching guys evolve, watching the first year head coach do all these things. Like there’s so many good things to say about this basketball team that will continue to carry over. Like we said already, well-earned three-day break before they’re back in action uh this weekend. So, I’m excited for that and excited for them to keep it rolling. Yeah, I hope they get the rest that they’ve earned because even though they lost a few games in a row over their road trip, it wasn’t for a lack of effort that they lost those games. And I think even though they’re very much a no moral victories team and I feel like you can understand that just through the screen, yet let alone if you speak to anyone in person, um they’re they feel like they’re turning corners in their process even with a fraction of the roster available. Now they’re obviously wanting to be at a certain point where they’re fully healthy and putting it together, but this is a team that’s earned this three-day rest that they’re going to have going up into u Friday’s game against the Houston Rockets. And I hope they take full advantage of it because it’s more than earned. This team should only get better. Not just because of health, but because like you mentioned, Gil, everybody’s still growing into their roles, including the head coach. This is a team that, you know, saw a really great stretch from Book at the beginning of the season has still found ways to win when he hasn’t been giving his best. Jaylen Green has barely played. Grayson Allen has missed now a lot of the season. Ryan Dunn’s missed a ton of games. Mark Williams doesn’t play backtobacks. this team should get a lot better than what we’ve seen. And if you infuse this level of talent that you’ve been missing with your baseline that you’ve established now through 22 games this season, we could be in store for a special type of run when all those pieces come together and start to gel. Because if Jamari Buouay is coming in the game and clicking, Jaylen Green’s going to come in the game and click as well. I’ve got no doubt that this fully healthy squad, a squad that Jordan not planned for the entire off season, I is going to mesh together seamlessly as soon as they can. Well, Charles, our resident optimist, said, “Watch when we’re all healthy, we suck again.” Well, I did I did tweet from Enjoy the ride now. All right. I tweeted from the Suns account that picture of Jordan looking like demonish. And it’s like when your star players get hurt so you can finally show off the playbook you drew up for the two-way guys. Like that’s really what it feels like with him. It’s like he turned it up to to hard mode. Uh speaking of hard, we got more be calm super chats. This is $20 from becom quote. Everyone want to be respected. Cool. And everyone want a little effort. Cool. And everybody want to be remembered cool. But really everybody ain’t special. Wlay the gifted. Free Danzel. #free Danzel. I wonder if the cops are going to pull up cuz BC column stole his boss’s credit card and has been just buying by so many. They’re like, “Uh, hey Donzel, we noticed there’s been some charges on the work card for YouTube super chats. Uh, do you know anything about this? What is this PH and X you seem so fond of?” Oh man. IDK WHY PPL PANICKED AFTER THE BACK TO BACK LOSSES, WE PLAYED 2 B2B GAMES IN A WEEK! WE'RE NOT GONNA WIN EM ALL. WE'LL FALL SHORT IN CLOSE GAMES OR BE ON THE RECEIVING END OF ONE SIDED BEATINGS AND OTHER NIGHTS WE'LL LOOK DOMINANT AND PLAYING AS ONE. WE'RE PLAYING WITH HOUSE $ RIGHT NOW LETS IT GOING!
Yeah I think I’ve watched my last PHNX pod. Hearing Gerald talk about what he went through for 10 minutes; hearing that this company not only didn’t have his back, but only gave him a couple of minutes on a Zoom call. Hearing how they treated Lindsey as well. This company is run by fucking cowards and I hope Erik and Stephen can get out as soon as possibleX
yea that swagger and nasty grit just not giving a damn if its lebron luka lakers or whoever, they looked scary tonight, goodwin williams oneal brooks colllin were just on another level just being some underdog goons….loved what i was watching….was so clean, like the last 2 losses were just necessary to learn from and get pissed off and unlock the next level…
The sound on your mic sounds terrible needs to be fixed, you lost me on this one later..
All y’all cowards for not supporting Gerald especially you espo.
This team looks like the 21 team that went to the finals. I justo don’t think we will get the same result out of them. But just a great group of guys that plays beautoful and entertaining basketball.
I’m glad they got Dillon Brooks grit, toughness and a scorer. Love Booker but he is a little soft and lacks a killer mamba mentality. Let’s hope that Jalen Greene doesn’t turn into a Beal in Phx🥴 I felt like this new team could compete. Ott is the difference
Dillon Brooks change the culture, it's really that simple
Maybe this is a blessing in disguise? Booker needed a reset to get out of his funk, a little change of routine might just be the answer?! 🤞 Get healthy soon. This past month was a brutal schedule and you guys did well and should be inspired with what was accomplished with basically a brand new team in such a short time. Build on this and become one organism of Pack Dawgs!! Let's GO!!
I'm all about calling this era of the Suns, The Villain Era.
💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 Good Win !!!!!
Dillon brooks is my new favorite player. He is the identity of these new suns
Lakers were tired from 3 games in 4 nights. Same thing just happened to the Suns. I hope we can sign Gillespie Longterm before his value is too high.
No answer in the ayton/williams debate 6/8 for both , efficient but no ammo given by the playmakers . Gillesspie is the ty jerome we wasted on the bench . The denver copycat project around a playmaking center is over , we wasted ayton jerome and camara on the way .This okc copycat new team is a pleasure to watch , the ball is shared , the staff trust the bench , Goodwin and Gillespie can perform better than booker allen on a game & finish it , booker needed rest . Dillon brooks without his locs reveals his real nature , we got a real klingon warrior in the roster , qapla
