Really hoping this doesn't happen of course. I'd love to see that record stand for a long time.

  1. would it be worth it if they break the record and don’t win the title some how…removing the 16 dubs form that moniker…ultimately records are made to be broken so tevs

  2. Weren’t we like 24-0 to start that season? While they may be on pace an NBA season is SUPER long.

  3. They’re more likely to win 5 rings than beating this record tbh.

Okc are stacked at every position with size athleticism and skill. We choose to build our roster with senility, lack of size/skill /athleticism

  4. They are in the conversation. They would need to basically duplicate this start and go 40-2 to have a shot. Typically, teams slow down in the second half of the season so they would need that buffer. It also depends on whether they are chasing wins. Remember, the Spurs has 67 wins in 15-16 and were chasing the Warriors pretty much all season.

  5. I looked at OKC schedule and they’ve played bunch of scrub teams thus far this season.

I would bet against them beating the Dubs record.

  6. Another part of why we went 73-9 was the spurs being 67-15 that year, could never truly rest players cause we were still being chased. I don’t see that happening with OKC

  7. It would make me feel a lot better about 2016 if they break our record and lose in the Finals. I could definitely see them not winning the Championship this year, they don’t scare anyone quite like the 73-9 Warriors did, and pretty much the exact same roster got pushed to 7 games twice last playoffs.

  8. 73 win was a joke as we lost the championship, nobody cares about that 73 win, Dray’a punch ruined that epic season, and another punch later ruined the possible 5th ring run.

  9. it’ll never happen – if the heatles couldnt get to 73, why would i believe that this thunder team could do it? also, the playoffs afterwards are gonna be a cautionary tale about going fucking crazy for a regular season thing. we didn’t win shit that year.

  10. They have the strongest remaining schedule in the league. I seriously doubt they do it. We were 24-0 and had a 67 win spurs team right behind us. Nobody is coming close to them to push them to 70+
