Bills Mafia, your team is eight and4 and it feels like vibes are pretty high right now. But we just got some major news that impacts their next game this week against the Cincinnati Bengals, both good and bad. On today’s show, we’re going to break down the latest injury news from both the city side and the Buffalo side as we have some inclinations as to who will and won’t be playing in this week 14 matchup. So without further ado, let’s continue today’s edition of the Bills Breakdown. [Music] If you ask me, I’m pretty fired up about the Buffalo Bills being eight and four at this point with the current landscape in the AFC. And for that reason, I would hit the thumbs up icon and like today’s video. I would also hit that subscribe button if you want free, informative, entertaining Buffalo Bills content because we put it out every single day all year round. It’s not just during the season. We have offseason content as well. You get daily free Bills shows right here at the Bills Breakdown. And if there’s 101 Bills Mafia members out there, they could all help us hit our next milestone of 9,000 subs. All right, let’s get into this major Bills injury news here as Tyler Bass, who has been on injury reserve the entire season so far after sustaining an injury in training camp, has now been ruled out for the season by Shawn McDerman. He had surgery last week for the same pelvic and hip problem that has been keeping him out all the way back dating to August. in the injury. They’ve been trying to manage over this season so far. They brought in Matt Prader obviously and they’ve been trying to bring Tyler Bass back even though he’s been on injury reserve, but through the rehab and the recovery process. Nothing has really improved from this injury. So, uh they opted to have surgery here and basically end his season. The decision to get surgery was basically made for him. That’s what Shawn McDermott had to say in his press conference. Now, this hip and pelvic injury that he’s got going on is a pretty worrisome injury for the kicker position here. So, as far as the future of Tyler Bass goes, it’s it’s pretty murky for the most part, considering that he did sign a 4-year contract extension in the 2023 season. And when you are a kicker using your hip and pelvis a whole heck of a lot to drive through the football, I mean, that’s like one of the most used parts of your body when you’re going out there and attempting field goals. So, this isn’t good news that it’s not really recovering here uh with the rehab and the recovery process that they’re trying to impose on Bass. And now he has to deal with surgery. And who knows what he’ll be like if when he returns back in 2026. Now the Bills did bring along Matt Prader. So do they really have to think about bring back bringing back Tyler Bass? Probably not because Prader’s been pretty solid for the most part this year, nailing nearly 90% of his field goals. He’s 34 for 37 on extra points. And only one time this season really uh do we feel that Matt Prader kind of changed the course of the game. I remember dating back to a couple weeks ago when he missed that extra point and the Bills just weren’t in a good position to, you know, get get that score where it needs to be the rest of the game. But with Prader in the situation that he’s in right now, he’s 41 years old. Like, are the Bills really going to bring him back for another year next year? I mean, I would think that they would go out at least into the free agency pool or the draft and the college pool to think about getting a new young kicker in town. I know Bass signed a contract extension, but this injury, I mean, it doesn’t bode well for his future in Buffalo. So, do they bring back Matt Prader? Do they bring back Tyler Bass? Do they go out there and sign an external kicker uh in the college circuit or out there as a free agent this offseason? That’s what I’ll ask you as for 2026 Buffalo Bills. If it’s Tyler Bass you want to bring back, type TB. If it’s Matt Prader, give me an MP. And if it’s an other player that you would want to bring into the kicker spot, give me an O down in the comments section. All right, we got to get to Joey Bosa now, man, because this is the injury that everybody is worried about. Uh Bosa has been one of the most impactful Buffalo Bills and by far the most impactful Bills offseason edition that they brought in via free agency. Now Bosa is dealing with a hamstring injury and this is a guy who has missed time throughout his career specifically over the last few years. Has not played a full season sustained that hamstring injury against Pit where he did have a nice strip sack on Aaron Rogers led to his scoop and score. But Shawn McDermott said we’ll see where that goes. So the king of being ambiguous and saying a lot but saying nothing at the same time has this to say about Joey Bosa. So that that that’s not really great news there. And then when you really dig deep and and look between the lines here, the Bills signed Andre Jones Jr. back to the practice squad on Tuesday. So with them, you know, maybe thinking about Joey Bosa’s availability, they probably would thought, okay, let’s let’s bring in another guy to the practice squad. Jones was on the practice squad previously this season. They also added Morgan Fox, who we’ll talk about in just a second, who we could be seeing on the active roster this week. But losing Joey Bosa, man, I mean, that is no joke. Think about what he’s done so far for your Buffalo Bills this season. He’s played in all all 12 of the games. He has 26 tackles, including 15 solo ones, five sacks, four tackles for loss. He leads the league in force fumbles. And by the way, that five number right there, that ties a single season record for the Buffalo Bills. He is the eighth overall graded uh edge in the league right now. He’s at a 91 pass rush grade. Like he has been everywhere so far this season. And it is like evident on the stat sheet as well. Um, so not having Joey Bosa around in a game where you’re playing one of the league’s top quarterbacks, one of league’s top wide receivers in Jamar Chase, like that’s not going to be good news for your Buffalo Bills. And we saw when Joey Bosa kind of got that wrist injury that hampered him for a little while. Like the Bills pass rush certainly wasn’t as effective as it was when he was fully healthy. So if he’s not ready to go for this week, expect Morgan Fox, the player that they brought in a few weeks ago to the practice squad, who has some serious NFL experience under his belt, seasons in his career with six and a half sacks. I’d expect him to be brought up if Abosa is not able to go. Now, as far as some other Bills, injury news to be have to get to here. Sean McDermott said all three of these guys are all improving. And he also said that we’ll see where this leads us later this week. Terrell Bernard dealing with the elbow. He was a candidate to go on into reserve, but the Bills have not made that decision. And I guess he’s improving here. Could see him back very, very soon. Spencer Brown dealing with the shoulder. Who knows if he’s going to be ready to go for this week. And then Dolan Concaid man dealing with the hamstring still. when we see this Bills injury report on Wednesday and he is practicing, I will feel a lot better about Dalton K playing this week. But until we see him out there in team drills and in scrimmaging, like I’m not going to feel good about this injury that has kept him out for the last month, it seems at this point. Now, also, uh, some bad news for the Buffalo Bills this week. Dion Dawkins still in concussion protocol. So, for an above average tackle in this league for one of the captains of this Bills team, not great news that he might not be able to go uh for this upcoming week. Now, the Bills did get great uh play out of Ryan Vandermark out of Alec Anderson in against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but you know, you get another week. There’s there’s film on you now. Like, Alec Anderson hadn’t played any tackle so far this season. So, with Spencer Brown and Deion Dawkins potentially missing another game, I would expect those guys to come a little bit more down to earth than they were playing above their grade uh against Pittsburgh in week 13. Hopefully, Deion Dawkins could pass all the stages that he needs to to get out of concussion protocol and to be ready to play against the Bengals this week. Now, with that being said, speaking of that game, if you guys want the Bills to get all their guys back that are on the injury report at least, cuz health is wealth, go down below, hit that thumbs up icon, like today’s video if you want the Bills to get all their guys healthy for this upcoming matchup. All right, we got to move on because there’s a situation where the Bengals are in a weird spot uh with their injuries. Like there’s there’s things going on with T. Higgins. There’s things going on with Trey Hendrickson that we have to get to on the next portion of today’s show. But before we do, guys, the holiday season is coming around and I got to make sure that you guys are hooked up with the best gifts in the game. That’s a number 17 Josh Allen jersey. You can get them at this link right here, chatsports.com/joshallen. There’s free shipping flying around. There’s discounts flying around. There’s sizes and colors all available at this link below, chatsports.com/joshen. That link’s in the comments section and description of today’s video. Do not wait until this holiday season is creeping up on you and you don’t get a gift in time. All right, so some IR additions for the Cincinnati Bengals this upcoming week. We got to talk about Cam Taylor Britt, Marco Wilson, and Brian Asamoa. Now, these guys uh were added to the uh injured reserve list. Cam Taylor Brit being on November 21st. I think Marco Wilson was on the 26th of November. So, pretty fairly recent. But Brian Osamoa, one of their offball linebackers, he was just added to the injured reserve early this week. So, you’re not going to see any one of these three guys matching up and some pretty impact defensive players for one of the league’s worst defenses in Cincinnati. Now, probably the most impactful uh especially in the offensive end injury that the Bengals are going to have to deal with this week is T. Higgins. Now, he is still in concussion protocol here. So, uh, he’s dealing with the same thing that Deion Dawkins is dealing with. And it’s interesting that he’s still in concussion protocol considering he’s coming off a long week. The Bengals played on Thanksgiving. So, this is going to be a 10day break in between matchups and he’s still in concussion protocol, not ready to go uh through all the stages that he needs to get to. And this is pretty significant for the Cincinnati Bengals here because if you could if you could take away Jamar Chase, uh, which is much easier said than done. Don’t don’t make any mistake about it. But outside of Jamar Chase in that Thanksgiving game, the Bengals wide receivers, Andre Yoshas, and there was one other name that I’m that that slipped my mind right now. Of course, he’s probably going to go off against the Bills this week because I’m forgetting him. But they just had three catches, only three catches against the Ravens in that one. So, I mean, if you can just limit Jamar Chase, that’s what they did with TJ Watt this past week. I mean, one of my keys to victory was neutralizing TJ Watt as best you can. Do the same thing with Jamar Chase this week and you might have some success against that Cincy passing attack. But Joe Burrow, we know, will dump it off. He’s a he’s got some good running backs in that room that are good pass catchers and Chase Brown who had seven catches in that game. Some AJ Pine also is a receiving threat. And then he’s got a bunch of tight ends in that room as well. You have Mike Cassiki, Noah Fant, and there’s another there’s one more. Of course, I’m missing his name as well. But they are all making major impacts in in this passing offense without T. Higgins in the lineup. So even though he might not be available for this game, you still got to watch out for these weapons on Cincy’s side as well. Now, a player who we probably will not be seeing in this one, and I can probably make a stamp of approval on that, is Trey Henderson. He has been ruled doubtful already early in the week. Zack Taylor said that it’s not likely that we see him this upcoming week against Buffalo, and he’s been dealing with a hip and pelvis injury, much like Tyler Bass, all the way dating back to week seven. He hasn’t played since October 26th, and it looks like it’s going to be another week on the shelf here for Trey Henderson. So, with T. Higgins and Henderson. I mean, the two of their top highest paid players, $30 million a year guys, and their number one edge rusher, their number two wide receiver and number two to the best wide receiver in the league. With those two guys being out, like that’s pretty good news for your Buffalo Bills. They’re already playing a defense in Cincinnati that ranks at the bottom of the league across all the major metrics. They’re missing their top edge rusher. Once again, it’s not going to bode well for them against Buffalo who’s kind of hitting the right notes at the right time. Now, I’m pretty confident without even if Trey Henderson were to be able to suit up, I’m pretty confident in the Bills at tackle. Yeah, they might come down to earth a little bit, but I just feel like the team really rallied around Josh Allen getting hit by Patrick Queen last last week. I mean, they punched those Steelers defensive ends and edge rushers in the mouth all game long. So, I think they could do that again today against just much less productive and physically opposing defensive ends for the Cincinnati Bengals here without Trey Henderson in the lineup. So, I’m confident if Anderson and Vandermark have to go in the Bills ability to protect Josh Allen on that front. So, with that being said, what’s your confidence level in beating the Cincinnati Bengals in this game? Scale for me down in the comment section. One being no confidence at all. They are cooked cuz Burrow’s back. 100 being the most confidence in the world. They’re getting their revenge for their last two meetings. Whose goin to be COach? I saw ours is gone..
Bring Prater AND Bass to training camp … AND grab another new kicker to bring to camp (either a rookie via the draft or as an undrafted free agent, OR sign a quality veteran free agent kicker from another team ). By his impressive performance right off the street, 40+ year old Prater has EARNED the right to compete next year for the job in 2026; by his acquisition as a Bills draft pick and because of INJURY, Bass has earned the right to "not be replaced/lose his job forever" without providing him the opportunity next summer to compete for his job; AND because the Bills ARE "LACKING" somewhat in a VITAL area of the game (i.e., kicks that NEED to be more-or-less "automatic" — YET HAVEN'T BEEN), we need to bring in a third, younger kicker as well to compete for the Bills kicking job in 2026.
O
There’s a kid named Koo down in Jersey looking for a kicking job 😆

Let’s go Buffalo. I’ve been a Bills fan since 1972. At five years old I was all Buffalo Bills. The “Juice” was loose back then and someone a kid could look up to. The four losses and the crap years with Wade Phillips. Flutie Flakes and all the love hate relationships throughout the decades. I never gave up on them and never will. Mr. Brightside and Mafia TF up…
Solid 63. If we are actually tackling on defense we will win the game but if not brown is ganna have a field day
