HUGE Yankees UPDATE: TRADE RUMORS| WAIT WHAT?

We have a lot to go over today, but before we do, if you love the Yankees and you’re not subscribed, be sure to subscribe. We’re on the road to 24,000 subscribers. And listen, it’s free. But thank you to those who are subscribed, who follow the channel. It really does mean a lot, guys. It It goes a long way. Thank you guys so much. And listen, I hope the Yankees do something fun. I really do. I I hope they do something fun. I hope that something fun happens as soon as possible. And according to Jeff Passen, he he he came out with a very interesting article today. I’ll link it down in the description. He came out with a very interesting article talking about uh potential players that could be on the move this off season. And he mentioned what teams were a fit for each player. And the Yankees were a fit for I believe like four out of the 20 he listed. And the first one that’s going to lead off here is TK School. Now, Scooball, I mean, according to passing, has a 10% chance of even being traded. But Scooball, one of the best pitchers, if not the best pitcher in Major League Baseball, he’s going to be a free agent, though, at the end of the 2026 season. He would have to come with an extension. Him being a Boris client, he won’t. And the amount that you would have to trade away for Scooble, I would just rather call the Pirates up about skins, personally. Just my opinion. But TK Scubble, two time slang award winner, a triple crown award winner as well. Had a 221 RA this past season in 31 starts, 241 strikeouts and 195 in 38 innings pitched. Big lefty. Would love to have him. Don’t think it happens, but passing. He mentioned him as a fit for the Yankees. Now the next one, Mackenzie Gore. 30% chance he gets traded at all. Mentioned the Yankees as a fit. McKenzie Gore, if you guys did not know, many moons ago, he was moved to the Nationals. He was a part of that blockbuster Juan Sodto trade where he was moved along with James Wood to Washington for Sodto. And Mackenzie Gore last year pitched to a 417 RA. He’s 26 years old, by the way. 30 starts last year, 159 in two-thirds innings pitched, 185 strikeouts. good pitcher. Would love to have him a free agent, I believe, after the 2027 season. Lefty, he’d be a good fit. Don’t foresee the Yankees trading for him, though, as passen said 30% chance he gets moved. But he did mention the Yankees as a fit. Now, he also threw in Edward Cabrera, starting pitcher of the Marlins. Cabrera last year 26 starts 353 RA eight and seven 137 and two thirds innings pitch pitched 150 strikeouts I would love the big righty 6’5 long would love the guy don’t think it happens either Sandy Alcantara Alcantra Cabrera’s teammate has been linked to the Yankees however according to John Haymon in. If the Yankees were to add a starting pitcher, it’s going to be Tatsuya Mi. And take that for what it’s worth. MI is a Boris client. Haymon’s close to Boris. I’ll leave it at that. But Haymon did say if the Yankees do add a starting pitcher, it won’t be Aantra. It’ll most likely be Tatsuya. And that shouldn’t shock anybody. The Yankees have been linked to him this entire off seasonason. Regardless what you want to say about, oh, Cashman mispronounced his name. Doesn’t matter. They everybody in their mother is saying the Yankees want them. The Yankees want them. I’ll believe him. Anywh who, now when it comes to bats, when it comes to position players, a couple people were on passing’s list. Steven Quan, Catel Marte, just to name a couple. He mentioned that there was that there is a chance that both guys get moved. He gave Quan like a 25% chance he gets moved. and he gave Marte a 40% chance that he gets moved. He did not mention the Yankees being a fit for either player. I was shocked, especially for Quan. Maybe not so much for Marte. I was shocked about Quan though because if the Yankees lose out on Bellinger and they lose out on Kyle Tucker, you need to get somebody. If not, then I guess you’re staying in house and it’s the job will go to either Jones or Dominguez obviously. But we’re all hoping that, you know, as much as I love Dominguez and Dominguez, we have to face facts. Did he have a great year last year? No. But the second half of the season, did the Yankees play him all that much? I mean, they he started 29 games. first half of the season. He started in 73 games and had a 760 OPS. When he was given run, he performed at least offensively. Defensively, it was bad. It was bad. I’ll be the first one to say that it it it was. But he did have some good moments last year for the Yankees. We can’t deny that either. That three home run game over there in Sacramento. I love Dominguez. I I I wish him the the best. I hope he doesn’t get moved. But Jeff Pass also mentioned that Dominguez, he mentioned like an additional 15 players that could get traded alongside that 20. And Dominguez’s name is there. Okay. I I I I see that. But John Haymon talked about it on his show and John Haymon mentioned that out of the two out of Jones or Dominguez he thinks Dominguez would get traded but he doesn’t see either being traded. So that was interesting too. Another guy on the list Brendan Donovan. Now Donovan according to passing has a 75% chance of being moved being traded. It’s like whoa that’s freaking nuts. Um, and he mentioned the Yankees as a fit alongside the Dodgers, the Red Sox, and the Mariners. Donovan, left-handed bat, has two more years of control. Had a nice season for the Cardinals last year. All-star for the first time. Hit 10 homers, 50 RBI with the 775 OPS. Hit 287. Barely ever strikes out. Only played him in 118 games, though. Brennan Donovan, is he a good second baseman? Yeah, he’s pretty good. But we have Jazz over there and I don’t think we’re going to move him. If we do, then I guess Donovan would be could be a part of our plans if we move Jazz. But I don’t know if we will. And I don’t think we’re going to move McMahon, but last year Donovan played in like 52 and two/3 innings over there at third base. So I don’t think that’s a fit either. Last year Donovan played in 152 innings in the outfield. So I don’t think that’s a fit. Now he played over 800 innings in the outfield in left field. Had a negative one defensive run saved and zero outs above average. Not bad, but everybody’s hating on Kyle Tucker about him not being a great outfield. Negative -1 defensive runs saved last year. Negative -2 outs above average. That’s arguably his worst defensive season of his career. Kyle Tucker is a good defender. 2024, seven defensive runs saved. 2023, two defensive runs saved. 2022, 15 defensive runs saved. Fielding run value, eight. Kyle Tucker’s a good defender. Okay, so I I just this narrative that he’s not good, that he’s not as good as Cody. Is he as good as Cody defensively? No, he’s not. I’m not going to say that he is, but I’m not going to sit here and say that he’s bad either. He’s not. He’s not a bad defender at all. And the one thing that I disagree with John Haymon because John Haymon keeps mentioning, “Oh, I don’t see Tucker being a fit for the Yankees. I don’t see Tucker being a fit for for the Mets because the Mets have sodto and right judge. The Yankees have judge and right. Okay, fine. I guess I get it. Can’t we just give Tucker a little bit more credit and just think that maybe he could play left? Maybe he could adapt and play left. He’s not a bad defender at all. He’s not. So in in adding a top 10 bat in the sport, I I think that holds a lot of weight. Also too, John Carlos Stan only has two more years. He’s only got two more years and he’s going to miss 50 a year. He’ll miss 50 60 games a season. So he’ll miss you like 100 120 games over these next two years. Kyle Tucker fits, man. He fits more than we know. And when Stanton goes, you could stick Tucker and Wright. Judge at DH. Just have him DH. Don’t even put Judge at first base. I think Aaron Judge is in a unique situation. Judge, I love him in the outfield. I really do. I think he’s a good defender. He’s a great athlete. He’s the type of guy who’s a great hitter. Well, the best in the sport. You want to preserve that for as long as you can. And if that means not putting him in the field, then that’s what that means. So, if the Yankees have the opportunity to do what the basically what the Red Sox did uh with Ortiz his entire career basically, if they have the opportunity to preserve Judge and not put him in the field and just have him hit, have him be your full-time DH. I’m not opposed to that. Now, obviously that clogs up the position, but you don’t want to do that either. Then rotate him out. He’s super athletic. He could play 20 games and write a year. I think that’s very realistic, but him being a full-time DH, I think that’s in the cards. And that’s where Kyle Tucker comes in where you just put Tucker in right field. Same goes for Cody Ballinger, too. If you sign Cody and you want him in right field, an excellent right fielder, you could do the same thing. And Haymon believes that Cody does end up with the Yankees. It’s just a matter of time, but they are far apart on talk. So, we’ll see what the heck happens. We’ll see. We’ll see if the Yankees end up with the Mai. I believe I mentioned that John Haymon believes if the Yankees were to add a starting pitcher, it would be Tatsuya. So, we’ll we’ll see what ends up happening. But, let me know what you guys think down in the comments. Thank you guys so so much for watching. Take care.

Jeff Passan listed some trade targets for the Yankees. He mentioned something that shocked me. Steven Kwan? Tarik Skubal? Let me know what you think.

  1. Need to dump Stanton. I love em, but his time is over. We need someone that can move on the bases and play a decent outfield, not gold glove, but trustworthy

  2. Tucker is going to want 30-40 million a year for ten years…Hal is not going there….he already said it…why do we refuse to listen to guy who owns the team….

  3. Yankees don’t give their young players enough time to mature into something ā€œbetterā€; Volpe is the only one, and I don’t see him as our long term SS, and I’m sorry, because I like the guy, but he’s not the solution at Shortstop.

  4. Bro, Donovan would be perfect fit on the Yankees. You can’t rely on Volpe specially after surgery, and can’t rely on Caballero being your everyday SS. Donovan can play all over the infield and the outfield. The Yanks last year gave a lot of innings to many position players, so they can figure out ways to use him. You start him in SS to start the year, and you platoon McMahon and Caballero at 3rd depending on who’s pitching, you can move Donovan to 2B if you need to give Jazz a rest and put Caballero at SS or Volpe when he’s back. It gives you so many possibilities, and plus he has a damn solid bat. You add him, either Belli or Tucker, Imai and a couple good bullpen pieces, and they have to make it back to the WS

  5. We'll patch a team together, like we do each year, maybe a flashy signing, plus a couple of old guys who maybe do well. We'll make the playoffs, but will fizzle out, as usual. Judge will reach some new stat point, and we'll cheer. And that will be 2026.

  6. Dodgers not interested in Japanese pitcher. Man if that’s not a red flag what do you need?? Tucker a Yankee? After Hal’s comments? Not a chance. People just gotta listen.

  7. JOE……LET ME TELL YOU….TUCKER IS NOT COMING TO THE YANKEES…….AND DO YOU WANT TO KNOW THE REASON WHY???????? HAL WON'T SHELL OUT THE MONEY…….PERIOD……CASE CLOSED……BELLINGER IS THE BEST FIT FOR THE YANKEES…..DONOVAN WOULD ALSO BE GOOD….I'LL BET HE CAN PLAY SHORTSTOP

  8. Donovan is a super-utility guy by trade, not just a 2b. And part of what he can do in that role is spell Jazz against tough lefties, or spell McMahon against tough lefties. And some people think he could play short if he was given the chance, although idk about on the job training. But you can't make decisions about Donovan solely viewing him as a 2b.

  9. Im curious why most yankee fans are assuming Tatsuya ImaiĀ will be coming to the yankees? The mets need starting pitching desperately. I have a bad feeling cody & Tatsuya ImaiĀ go to the Mets or Boston & yankees are left with scraps

  10. Dominquez can hit for average and can steal bases. He is a switch hitter and is a good leadoff hitter. His defense will improve. IMO Jones is a Steve Balboni type hitter, too many strike outs.
