Oh my gosh. It looks like all of these. Awesome. Zach was busy yesterday and uh and he said that Hank and I were in charge of coming up with the ladder for what we’re doing. We did a pretty good job and yeah, I would say we killed it. Uh so we’re trying to raise money for Big Brothers Big Sisters today. I’m wearing my ENVR Big Brothers Big Sisters hat. Nice. Uh, and um, so yeah, uh, we have some incentives for the fans. Uh, if we raise $200, we pour water on Zack. Uh, if we raise $400, Zach has to speak with an old timey accent for five minutes. Yep. Um, could happen before the Alex Singleton interview. Wouldn’t that be great? There’s nothing you could do about it. Um, the pouring water is waiting until after Alex. You don’t want You don’t want Alex to see you wet. Yeah. I’m not I’m not doing a wet interview. He’s He always like We talked to him after he gets out of the shower, has some wet hair. Wow. Uh $600, Zach uh gives away a signed shirt by Zack Stevens. Yes. Yes. Um $800, uh Zach will try Deb Bomb Hot Sauce. We’re not getting to $800. And $1,000, Zach will sing a song of the chat’s choice live on the show. Well, you know, I think I I really want to raise money, but uh an interesting mix here. You know, I want to say that I do I do a lot of the uh show prep for this show. The one time I give it off to you guys, uh this is what happens. I guess I learned my my lesson there. You actually got off super easy. Maybe because we love you, we’ll we’ll uh take some of these off your screen. You know, I I knew I was in for uh quite a day when I walk into the studio and this is on the TV and right before I can see the TV, Henry goes, “Take it off the screen.” Yeah. I thought I was I thought I was pretty soon like, “Oh, yeah. Can you take that down for a second?” Um, all right. So, wait. Uh, the the way to give, there’s just a donation button right on the show, right? So, click that donation button. Give. Everyone wants to see all of these happen, but you got to give in order for it to happen. Dion, will you be giving us an update on there? Henry, you’ve got it pulled up, maybe. Okay, perfect. So, we’ll we’ll keep you updated throughout the show. In 10 minutes, we are joined by Broncos captain Alex Singleton. And we actually have some news before then. The Broncos made a signing today this morning. They signed wide receiver Elijah Moore to the practice squad. I will say a lot of times when there’s practice squad signings, no one talks about it and probably rightfully so because they’re not even on the active roster. This one though, getting some intrigue. How intrigued are you, Henry, by this signing? Well, we should start here. The reason there’s intrigue is because it’s a name people have heard before and people love names that they’ve heard before. Yes. Now, if Elijah Moore’s name was, let’s just say Brandon Moralijah. Morijah. Brandon Morijah. Nobody nobody would probably really care. You You’d look him up and be like, “Okay, a couple years ago he was like uh you know, wide receiver three type production. Maybe there’s something there.” Um but of course wasn’t able to get any time on the field. Was he was Patriots this year? Bills this year. Bills this year. Bills this year. um Bills this year couldn’t really get on the field. They didn’t have a use for him. Couldn’t give him a jersey. They wind up moving on. Um makes a lot of sense as insurance for Marvin Mims. Um I I think or even Troy Franklin in some ways. I think that what he brings to the game is very similar. He’s almost like a Marvin Mims life. Um sorry if there’s something we have to address this. I don’t think you guys will be able to hear this on the show. This is absolutely wild. So, right below us, do you guys know what it is? Yeah. So, we actually have like all three floors of this building. Well, parts of all three floors. Um, but there’s this this extra little area below this studio that there’s this guy who does like training, like sometimes weight training, like yoga, like I don’t know exactly what he does. Um, but it sounds as though below us right now they’re doing some sort of I would call it therapeutic groaning. That’s a really good way to put You know what? Regardless of what we hit on the on the day of giving today, um, I’ll definitely end the show with some of what we’re hearing below because we are hearing every sing. Okay. 12,200. You’ll get to hear my therapeutic groaning uh, mimicking what’s happening below because it is it’s entertaining. So if if you ever see like like if Henry he was having good points about Elijah more Ryan and I are like cracking a smile. We’re not we’re not making fun of the points Henry’s making. They’re good points. We just we’re hearing some crazy stuff below us. And also they can probably hear us talking about hearing they heard that entire thing which is awkward makes the groans worse. We had to address it. Um okay. Yep. Marvin Mims Insurance. Uh yeah sure. Um I’m not intrigued because I know the name even though I did know the name. Um, I’m intrigued for the other reason why people get intrigued by these types of signings, and that is speed. He’s fast. We love speed. 43540, uh, coming out, and that that’s fun. Yeah, that’s fun. Um, I will say the Broncos don’t necessarily have a speed problem, but you can always have more speed. Yeah, 100%. and uh Elijah Moore the people the reason people know his name Henry is cuz he was the second pick in the second round of the draft just in 2021. So the talent’s there the speed is there. That’s a big reason why he was he’s 510 180. Uh I think he is Marvin Mims insurance and Troy Franklin insurance. And so I like that. But when you say insurance there’s also the scary side of do the Broncos need him now? Did something happen on Sunday? We won’t know. Shawn Peyton does made it very clear last week. He does not talk about injuries after the game and on the Monday following the game. We don’t get reports anymore of injuries. We just find out on Wednesday. So, that’s the only thing that makes me not like this move is did something happen to one of the Broncos uh key players. I hope not. I mean, Marvin Mims did get crushed in the game once he got back up and seemed to be fine. So, um there’s nothing that tells me anything’s wrong, but uh that’s the only thing that makes me just a little bit worried there. But this is actually a signing typically, and I think we mentioned this the last time, the Broncos sign a big name to the practice squad. Typically, these guys are on the roster for 3 weeks and then they’re gone. Uh and they do absolutely nothing, and we spend a segment talking about them and then nothing ever happens with them. This is actually a guy that I can see having an impact on the Broncos cuz he has played for an NFL team this year. And last year, put 100 yards on us. Yeah, exactly. It was his second biggest game of his career. Eight catches uh on 11 targets for 111 yards. He he torched the Brown. That was a Jerry Judy game with Jameus Winston. Jerry Judy against the Browns last year. Um so he is talented and he can produce. So I like this move. Sean actually pointed to the Broncos making these sort of moves a couple of weeks ago. Um because they’re at the point where they’re not going to sign guys to the practice squad to develop them. They’re signing guys to the practice squad that can actually play because the Broncos are 10 and two right now. Yep. Um I was hoping to see that he had returned some kicks. He he returned one kick in 2022, returned a couple punts I think in 2023. Um but I think that was the one way where you could see him getting on the field. Um cuz otherwise like you just have the uniform pinch. We talked about all training camp like who do you not give a uniform to? And the answer was you trade to Bon Bailey because that’s you had to solve the problem somehow. Um, but yeah, there’s just no uniform to give him at this point. Obviously, Lil Jordan Humphre is probably lowest on the pecking order, but he’s out there because he can block and he Elijah Moore doesn’t really fill that role. So, yeah, he’s he’s insurance for your two speed guys and he should be good insurance. Yeah, and I like it. It’s a good move that we’ve got going on right now. It is the day of giving, so make sure that you are donating not just for a good cause, but to see bad things happen to me. Shout out to everyone tuning in, guys. I just cannot believe it is the second day of December and we’re talking about a 10-2 Broncos team. We’re talking about how the Broncos will get the tiebreaker over the Patriots for the number one seed and we’re talking to the Broncos captain in just a couple of minutes. So, just a shout out to you guys, shout out to the chat as well. Yeah, the last time the Broncos lost, we were wearing shorts and t-shirts every single day on the show. True. Now Henry’s wearing a hoodie with a jacket over it. It’s true. When was the last time? Like what day? September. It was legitimately September. Haven’t lost in two calendar months, right? Wow. I know. And the city almost had a perfect month if it wasn’t for the Nuggets. The damn Nuggets. But best record by a city across three major sports in history. Wow. Yeah. What are we talking wins? The ABS either won or got a point in every game. Um, the Broncos won every game and the Nuggets won every game but three. So, I think the total record was 28 and three. That’s crazy. At least if you count the overtime losses. 28 points. And the Rockies, we we’ve got the Rockies essentially top person in our studio uh in the other studio, the Toyota Lounge today as well. So, shout out to them. Yeah. I wish Walker probably gonna have to call him talker mom for tonight, right? Yes. Yeah. ABS though. So ABS, they did lose November 1st in overtime. They lost again November 28th in overtime. Won the other 11. Yes. Boom. Pretty crazy. That is impressive. I was thinking about this the other day. Turd Cody just reminded me. Undefeated in Shantober, undefeated in Bovember. Who? Okay. And so what do we got now? Eric Dexmber. Uh he’s not on the team anymore. That’s a good point. I’ll let you think about that. when we celebrate Taco Tuesday. Dion, if we’ve got it lined up, let’s show you the goods over at Taco Bell. Taco Tuesday. And these aren’t tacos at all. And I’ve actually never had nacho fries in my life. So, we’re both experiencing they’re back. And I need Taco Bell like I need air to breathe this morning. Almost definitely. Wow. Honestly, ketchup might have been the wrong thing all along. I I could not agree more. Like at the beginning of time, we made a major misstep and we went ketchup instead of nacho cheese. They made these at the ballpark. Oh, you know what? That’s the European influence. I think they, you know, everyone’s like, “Oh, French fries. They’re actually from Belgium.” Well, guess what? You don’t know about nacho cheese, Belgium. You screwed the whole thing up. This is delicious. Also, I love when it’s Taco Tuesday and they just like slide in a classic for us. Here, have some crunch wraps. Sure. Yeah, why not? Of course, we want crunch wrap. I’m going hot sauce here. M. Yeah, it hits, huh? There’s no time for you to do that, but let me just tell you, it’s Taco Tuesday, and you’re going to enjoy that as soon as this video ends. Let’s go. Happy Taco Tuesday. Happy Taco Tuesday. Taco Tuesday. Happy Taco Tuesday. Happy day of giving and happy Alex Singleton day. And we have got our guy, Denver Broncos captain and inspiration to everyone and a friend Alex Singleton joining us right now. Number 49. What’s up, Alex? Yeah, what’s up, guys? Man, so pumped to see you. And Alex, you have had the most the biggest roller coaster of a month. I mean, right before the Houston Texans game, uh, you find out that a drug test came back and an NFL drug test came back a little off. So, you went into that game having some questions. You play a hell of a game against the Texans. On that Monday, you find out that you’re diagnosed with cancer. 3 days later, you play in an NFL game that you think might be your last NFL game. The next day, you have uh surgery for the cancer. And then just a couple of weeks later, you play. And you don’t just play in a football game. You dominate in a football game. coming up with some huge plays. So, Alice, can you put into words what this past month has been like? Yeah. Uh, it’s been a whirlwind. It’s been crazy. Uh, you summed it up as well as I could, I think. Uh, yeah, it’s been I mean, you just take all that and Yeah, it was exactly that. like from that Wednesday when I found out about the drug test to the game in Houston where you know I don’t know anything to a doctor’s appointment on Monday till now I know like I have cancer to telling the team about it to going to another doctor to meeting with the team to obviously playing that Thursday night game to having surgery Friday morning to telling the guys on the team on Monday and then just you know obviously recovering for two and a half weeks from that and And you know, getting back into football, still doing a bunch of tests, still doing just all this stuff, you know, treating cancer is a whole another, you know, obstacle. And then, yeah, preparing to play the Commanders and, you know, now the Raiders and, you know, balancing those two things now all the time. And yeah, I think this was the perfect timing after the, you know, the the last commercial with Common Spirit and, you know, one of us needing to go to the doctor and get checked out over there. Yeah. Uh, all the Grizz fans. That’s, you know, the only good thing that they should do. There we go. There we go. I should have mentioned that, too. That game thrown in there just about 10 days ago. Oh, yeah. That happened too. That was on the recovery weekend. So, that was not good for the recovery cuz I was cheering so much. I was standing. I wasn’t supposed to jump up and down, but I did and it was worth it. And then a week later, you’re playing in an NFL game. That is just insane. I I keep reminding myself all the time like cancer kept you out one game. One week. Yeah. One that is insane. I mean, that that is the definition of war and why so many of your teammates have been like, “Yeah, that that’s why he’s our captain on defense.” Yep. No. And I mean, you know, thankfully I would say it’s I mean, I wasn’t just allowed to be like, “Hey, Doc.” like I’m going to beat cancer in a week. Can I play? It was, you know, obviously a lot more to it. A lot of tests and stuff. And really from the organization, obviously, you know, from the owners down, like Greg and Carrie have been obviously doing everything they can to, you know, get as much done as we could. I was able to get a CT scan done before I had the surgery to not have as invasive of a surgery so I could be back sooner for football. And then, you know, just little things like that. Obviously, you know, the doctors being like, we know this is what you want to do. So, we’re going to, you know, do as much as we can. I also, you know, Dr. Ledgerwood, who, you know, did my surgery and is my urologist in the Denver area, which is awesome if you need to get looked at. Um, but he like I, you know, obviously doesn’t work with professional athletes very often, and so I think he’s just is like, “All right, well, if you want to play Thursday night,” I’m like, “No, I want to play Thursday night.” And so it was uh it was just really cool, you know, how the organization, you know, the guys on the team and everyone has been so supportive, but it was definitely, you know, the doctors, the team, and them. They’re not just letting me play just to play. Like I am I’m healed uh to a certain point. It’s incredible. Awesome to hear. Um I’m glad Zach reminded you of everything that happened just in case that you forgot. Um but it’s an incredible story. He he did forget one part which was uh a little celebration you did against the Raiders. Can you can you just tell us the what what went into that? Well, so I obviously I knew that I was going to have surgery on Friday, not everybody else. And you know, my brother was in town and we were just kind of talking about it and he’s the I mean, I think you guys have seen it like when we get a turnover or anything, uh, he jumps in the pool in the backyard. And so, you know, so it’s like a, you know, just celebration. And so I was like, wouldn’t it be funny if like, you know, whatever, if I have a big play, I’ll just do the, you know, the, you know, cuz most people it’s, you know, Will Lutz does it. You know, you do the you’re holding, you know, you’re too big when you make a play. And I was like, I think it would just be funny to do one because that’s, you know, where we’re going here. And uh yeah, and I don’t know if you guys caught it on Sunday night, you know, after the play on Zack Z. I’m like, you know, doing just a regular like, ah, whatever, incomplete. And I start jogging to the sideline and Brandon Jones is like, let’s do it. And like, so all the guys all the guys start hitting it and I’m like, oh yeah, this is great. There’s nothing better. I know. Well, cuz when we saw the first one, we were on the we were doing the watch along. I was like, did Alex just do that? Like that that seems like almost a little bit out of character. I’ve never seen that one from him. And then we find out later the reason for it. Dude, it’s the best too. There was someone on Tik Tok like during the weekend like people were sending it to me like, “Dude, like people that didn’t know, they were like, “Dude, you’re going to get fined for some sexual gesture, right?” Yeah. And I was like, “Oh, that’s funny.” And then there was like a whole Tik Tok thing like Monday night of like, “Oh my god, I figured out why Alex did this. This is the coolest thing ever.” And even that day, uh, you know, talking with, you know, obviously the PR team with the Broncos and the NFL, you know, releasing the statement and stuff, they were like, “Yeah, so we obviously noticed, so we’re not going to find him for that.” You know, I’m bringing awareness to a cause. You can’t Right. Right. You doing the right thing. And now you got your whole team bringing awareness, too. Yes, that’s what we’re doing. We’re just bringing awareness. So, the more people that do it, just the more awareness is spread and the more people that go get early detected. And we’re just saving lives, celebrating one big play at a time. That is incredible. And Alex, speaking of one big play, let me set the scene for you. The you you guys are up 20 to 17. 350 left. It’s third and 21 for the Commanders. And Zack Z is pretty darn open down the field for a first down. You come out of nowhere and punch that ball out for at that point that was the biggest play of the game. You probably hit the SY after that as well. Can you take us through that play and what was going on through your mind then? Yeah. Uh they, you know, on third and longers they they run the like a mid- read option where the tight end like Zach sits down kind of five 10 yards in front of the sticks and kind of does that like fall forward. He did it on a third down earlier in the game where I tackled him for like a fourth and short because he’s he you usually, you know, on defense you get to the sticks and then you rally to the checkown, but he does a really good job. Obviously, he’s a savvy vet. has been in the league for 15 years where you you kind of catch it at like the three to four yards before where nobody’s in the zone and just kind of fall forward. So, I was like, dude, I’m going to go get a pick here. I’m just going to just go stand where he’s going to go and like he like they’re just going to throw it to me. And um he was running towards me and I you know he knew I knew what route he was going to run and he gets to you know kind of that spot and he kind of you know pivots up and when he does I kind of see his eyes get really big and I was like oh there’s nobody there. So I just turned and at that point you know obviously the play happened and you know you got to just punch through the ball. I knew he was going to have his hands out and stuff and so it’s a Yeah, obviously a fun play to make and a play that is nice to make. I mean, literally saving play right there. What a crazy game, too. Like I I can’t even think of another game that compares to that. Like that entire another Giants game like a month ago. I mean, okay, so that one was pretty crazy, too. But this one though, I mean, so overtime, Bo tears him apart, flies down the field, you wind up with a quick touchdown, and then the rest of the way you’re thinking like, “Okay, Broncos have this. Broncos have this.” But somehow it comes down to that last play. There’s the penalties, there’s the other stuff. I mean, what’s it like? Watch along. I’m sitting there saying like, “I could never handle this. My hands are sweaty just thinking about it. Like, I don’t belong out there. I’d make a horrible mistake.” But to be in those sorts of moments where one little mistake could totally change the game and end the win streak, like what’s it like just being in that environment? Well, the fear in that is the grizz in you. You know, the the bobcat in me. Okay. Y just sees nothing but you know, victories. But no, honestly, it’s I think what we’ve been through and how much we believe in ourselves, especially on the defensive side of the ball, it’s we don’t really care what situation we’re in. We know, you know, whether it comes down to, you know, that last play, we’re we’re still just pissed talking about it, you know, between ourselves now, today, and, you know, yesterday and stuff that we just didn’t get off the field in that long drive before overtime. Like, we need to stop them and not even let that happen. And whatever those little situations are, there’s stuff earlier in the game we’re mad about. Like, we shouldn’t shouldn’t be letting games get into these situations. But when you are in those situations, it’s going, okay, that stuff has happened. And I think that’s what Sean’s been so big on. Stuff happens in games. Stuff like it doesn’t always go your way, but when it’s not going your way, like what are you going to do to just win? Because at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter. No one no one cares in if we’re playing, you know, February, you know, 8th or 9th, whichever day the Super Bowl is, how we beat the Commanders. Like, if we’re the one seed, no one’s going to look back and go like, ah, but, you know, they only beat the Commanders by one. We just beat them. you know, if you end up with whatever record. So, it’s just in those moments to just play the next play and do whatever you can. Like once they scored, they had scored before the penalty earlier and you know, some of the guys noticed that they were like, “Hey, let’s go for two.” So, when we when they did score, all the guys were like, “Hey, they’re going for two.” So, it didn’t it was like way more like, “All right, once they scored, it was like, hey, they scored, they’re going for two.” Like, we still have a chance no matter what to win this game. So, let’s you know, whatever. If it’s us versus them, we would take us every single time at this yard line, two yard line against any team in the world at any time and know we’re going to win. And I think that’s just the mindset we have and the mindset that we, you know, played with. Alex, when or how did this mindset change with this team? Cuz last year you guys were in so many games, still finished with 10 wins. It was still a successful season, but I think you were two and eight in one score games. This year you’re already eight and two in one score games, including eight straight. Sean kind of points back to that Philadelphia game, your homecoming where you guys beat the Eagles in that one. I Is that where the team kind of shifted? The team shift before? Is it just every week it just continues to get get stronger? I mean, I would say it started last year, that momentum building, just believing in each other and and that was me, you know, just watching from the outside, just believing in each other to get those wins, you know, really just stacking them. And then obviously this off seasonason, I think there was a total belief that like we are going to win games. I think my first I would say three two and a half years here there wasn’t always that there was a lot of you know I remember you know the hacky year like we went to the Rams they had a pick on the first play of the game they go score and you could just feel it on the sideline like we’re going this is going to get out of hand and it did that all that’s gone so like we show up I remember in uh yeah and I I do and I don’t know what point this year even you know the indie game obviously we lost from what happened. But like we knew as a defense like when we go on the field we will keep them at a field goal range and we did do that originally. You know what I mean? And then the Jets game like I know how stressed everybody like as a defense you would have thought if you were on the sideline with us we were up 100 points. Like we were so excited to go back out on the field where it was like we did nothing but like crave being out there. And I think that’s the difference is both sides of the ball crave being the ones to win the game and the ones that get to like be on the field during the last drive. Like obviously we want the offense if it’s third and third and whatever and you know with getting near two minutes to get the first down so the game’s just over. But if not we’re like we’re excited like let’s go finish this thing. Let’s just go win this. So I think that’s the difference is like we have on both sides of the ball all 53 guys on the team. It’s like this itch and this drive to just go out and win football games because we all know and now fully know and believe that, you know, we’re going to do it no matter what. Alex, last one for me here. Um, you everyone knows about your, you know, great um, football skills. Everyone knows that you’re a great member of the community and you help out with the Special Olympics. What can you tell us about your acting career? I have no accolades. Why? No credited accolades. That is not true. No credited accolades. I’m telling you, you know what’s funny is you probably want to know about benchwarmers. There’s another one. There is another one. Shaggy Dog. And nobody ever sees Shaggy Dog. Yeah. Um our little league, you know, it’s, you know, most people I’m from LA. Everyone’s in movies. And so, no, we got asked, Shaggy Dog was the first one. So, I don’t know. Um, they asked our little league, we just happened to be the right age of like, they’re like, “Hey, does does your team want to like be extras as a football team that plays against the kid whose dad turns into a dog?” And so, yeah, we got to be like the team that played them. And the same thing with Benchwormers. And Benchwormers was way. So Shaggy Dog, they just kind of took our team and we got to be the football team. But you like have a big hit in that. Yeah. And I was number 49, which is funny. That’s dope. And I didn’t even know I was number 49 till like three years ago. Wow. Those are movies, too. Yeah. And benchwmers we had to like try out. You had to like So every team in benchwmers that doesn’t talk, I like know all the kids because it was like our little league who did it. All of it. Dang. I had no idea. You can you can I didn’t know that the Broncos inside linebackers had a little career in acting because um Todd Davis, one one of the the coaches on the staff now, he was a baby actor uh growing up. You he was in a couple of things. So you you guys can share that bond now together. It’s what it’s what we do. Yeah. And another California guy, so it makes sense. We’re you know, we are we do a little bit of everything. That is incredible. Um Alex, final one for you this Sunday. big game cuz it’s playing against Raiders. Also a big game. It’s your birthday this Sunday on the field. I’m sure you want a couple of gifts there. What What’s an on the field gift and an off the- field gift you’re looking for this week? Uh on the field gift would be anything from Gino. It would be appreciative. I would accept. Uh off the field man just I mean I’m just thankful to see another birthday. This month has been crazy. Let’s also not tell everyone it’s my birthday. I don’t need anyone to know I’m getting older. Yeah, I’m feeling younger. It’s, you know, it’s this thing, you know, I’m I’m getting younger, you know, faster, stronger, all that stuff. Um, off the field, I’m just thankful to be healthy and playing football and have my family, watching my daughter grow, you know, being with the wife. There’s nothing there’s nothing better in this world. So, I’m I’m more thankful for those gifts off the field than anything I can receive. That is that is too cool. And you know what? Why don’t saying all that good stuff, let’s also just give you a contract extension right there. That that that’d be a nice little uh after birthday present as well. And Alex, we are so unbelievably thankful for you joining the show, but everything that you do on the football field, off the football field, the awareness that that you bring to getting checked early now and everything you’ve done with Special Olympics. And go Cats, cuz South Dakota State’s going to take care of business this weekend in Missoula if anyone wants to tune in. Nope. Revenge and Boseman in a few weeks. All right, go go go cats. That’s I’m I’m a cat guy, so I can get behind that. There we go. Right on. Thanks, Alex. We’ll see you out there on the practice field tomorrow. Thanks, guys. Appreciate you, man. Just incredible. He is He is the absolute best. I had no idea about his acting career. Yeah, some of us do research. Yeah, apparently. That is impressive. I love Bench Warmers was my favorite movie and Shaggy Dog’s a classic. So, I grew up Wow. Benchwormers. I tried to find the clip. It’s pretty hard. Um he’s a catcher in one of the games. Okay. Um and then but in Shaggy Dog, I mean he has like he like has he lights a guy up. Wait, no. How do you know that he’s the catcher? Is it the mustache? Does he have the hair? Probably the mustache. I couldn’t find I couldn’t find the clip, but that’s what doing your research. My research reveals that he plays catcher in the movie. Oh, this is Lexi wanted a date night tonight. This is perfect. A double feature. It is a double feature. I just Shaggy Dog has to go first. Awesome. Awesome. I mean, how could a movie about a person turning into a dog not be great? Bench warmers though, step above. So, we’re going Shaggy Dog first. Bench warmers. I’m not allowed to eat popcorn. Damn. Wow, man. Just an incredible Oh, just Have you guys seen people eating sticks of butter? It’s apparently now a new thing, especially when you’re traveling. Really? Really? Yeah. On the plane, people are just literally bringing sticks of butter and they say it’s like a good airplane snack. That’s just so Have you seen the guy who just eats raw onions on the plane? Yes. Yes. And then he drools and stuff. Gross. So, so gross. Something that’s not gross is uh the path to the number one seed. And I’ll tell you what, at the end of the Alex Singleton interview, we heard wild the craziest ones that were happening from below. Like I honestly don’t know what’s going on now. At least it didn’t happen while he was talking about serious things. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Cuz I would not want I unfortunately had like a smile at some point, but it wasn’t during a serious part. So, um, all right, fellas. It’s just I just can’t get over December playoff football. Um, the December, that’s what we’re going with. December. December. Okay. Any reasoning? Just cuz it sounds best. Well, it’s just that we hit Shawn. He’s like the one pillar. B’s another pillar. The next pillar that needs to be hit is Pat. Okay. I love it. I absolutely love it. Like it’s not like October sounds like Shawn. No, it doesn’t. At least has an a Sean Shantober sounds better than October though. A Yeah, you’re right. And Bovember of the Bow on the B. That one is easy. Yeah, that one’s a good one. Uh January. Maybe there’s a good one for February because the Broncos right now are January. from February. We’ll we’ll cross those bridges when we get to it. Let’s take care of business with Patber. I do want to I do want to say though, man, Ryan, you said during the break, you said Docember and that would be nice. Dosember would have been really nice. Maybe. I love this. Maybe there’s a chance it happens. Last week, Sean went out of his way to say that JK Dobbins has a chance to be back this year. Now, probably won’t be in December, but he’s he’s not ruling it out. It feels like there should be something. I don’t know. Like just feels like the Broncos would get that gift this year. Yeah. Where like going into the Chiefs game December 25th, they’re like JK’s coming back. Yep. Yeah. It’s a Christmas miracle. That would be a Christmas miracle in an amazing one. I would love a Christmas miracle. Oh my goodness. And right now, guys, the Broncos are I think I saw the most updated odds were a 99.65% 65% chance to make the playoffs at the beginning of December. Those are their odds to make the playoffs. They are now the runaway favorite to win the AFC West. I believe over at Bet 365, the most recent one I saw as of yesterday. Broncos are minus700 to win the AFC West. Chiefs, I think, plus 4,000. Can’t even get Raiders odds because they’re terrible. Are the Is there a actual path for the Chiefs? Not that I want to think about it, but I I think they might be eliminated. There must be if there’s odds because you can still bet on them. But yeah, what? Six and six compared to 10 and two, right? So the Broncos need to lose four more games to have the tie. Chiefs would have to win out. Um so I guess there is like a oneame wiggle room assuming the tiebreaker goes to the Chiefs. Otherwise, they need to be perfect and Broncos need to lose out. And that’ll be gone after this week. That’s the goal, man. And uh Broncos are right there neck-and-neck with the Patriots as the favorite to win the AFC. That means they are neck-and-neck with the Pats to be in the Super Bowl from the AFC. What an incredible time we’re living at. And let’s just look exactly where things stand after 13 weeks. Here is the AFC standings after last night’s Monday night football game. The Patriots, because they have not had their buy yet, are the number one seed with that 11-2 record. Broncos number two seed with that 10-2 record. Then we got a lot of teams stacked with one another. You got the Jags at the three seed. They’re 8-4. Baltimore because they are winning their division at 6 and six. They’re the four seed. You got the Chargers at 8 and4 as the number one wild card team with that fifth seed. Then the Colts at 8-4 as the sixth seed. And then the Bills, the last team to sneak into the playoffs with an 8-4 record. They are the seventh seed. Just on the outside looking in, you have another group of teams. You got the Texans at 7-5, the Steelers at 6-6, the Chiefs at 6-6 right now. The Kansas City Chiefs are the 10th seed in the AFC. They are out of the playoffs by two games as it stands right now. And then the Dolphins, I guess, no, they’re not in it. So, um, that’s where it stands right now. And guys, this means that if the playoffs were to start today, your Denver Broncos are hosting the first round of the playoffs against the Buffalo Bills. crazy. But that being said, the Patriots have a game in hand on us, uh, which we will gain back this week. And if the Broncos win, they’ll be back to number one. 100%. They have the tiebreaker against the Pats. So that that’s big. Um, and I don’t know if I’m just going to take this. Can I can I go somewhere with it? Sure. There’s this weird narrative out there that the the Patriots remaining games are really easy. And I think that was determined like three weeks ago or something. Yeah. It’s not true anymore, but everyone’s just still running with it. Um, they’re going up against two teams who are going to be fighting for their lives and two teams who definitely have two of the best five quarterbacks in football. Yeah. So, so let’s let’s pull it up as as you can continue to talk about this. Let’s pull up the schedules, Ryan. Let’s do it because I don’t like here you go. Patriots have the buy this week and then they go against the Bills and the Ravens right after that. Then they do finish with Jets Dolphins. That’s easy. Um, but I I don’t understand where this idea is coming from that it’s just a cakewalk for them on the way in. No, 100% not. And also that Bills game, it is at home, but remember when the Patriots beat the Bills earlier in the season in Buffalo, that was a massive shock. So, not only uh well will the Bills are just going to be so pissed off, but one, they’re desperate to make the playoffs. And then two, they’re going to be so pissed in that game right now. I’d probably take the Bills to win that game. And then the Ravens on the road. Um we saw what the Ravens look like at home last year when the Broncos play them. I know it’s a it’s a different team, but like you also said, Ryan, they are now desperate. They they’ve got uh the uh Bang or they have the what’s the team? The Steelers. The Steelers. Yes, thank you. Right behind them. And then you got the Joe Burrows coming up on their tail as well. So, I agree. It’s it’s not easy. Uh they have had a very easy schedule up until now. Um and it these next two three weeks after the buy are not easy, right? And I think again, most likely Josh Allen like fighting for his playoff life. Wouldn’t want that. Wouldn’t want to play against that. No, I agree. I think that they probably go most likely one and one in those two games against the Bills and Ravens. Get one, drop the other, and most likely win both of the others. 3-1 probably more likely than two and two, but you’re right in that range. Um, I think in a perfect world, in a perfect world, the Bills close that two and a half game lead and wind up with a couple more wins and win that division, finish as a two seed so that you don’t have to face the Bills past the Patriots, right? So, so Bills win this week, then they wind up two and a half games back right now. Yeah. They don’t have to buy. So, if they win this week, it goes to two and then they beat the Patriots after it would go to one. And so then you just need I’m not sure how the tiebreakers play out, but then you need to make up that one game in the final three. Um which I think is possible. Um it would also be awesome if the Bills just lost a bunch and fell out of the playoffs. It’s just tough to see, you know, the Steelers making that run or maybe the Texans do, but when you have the Colts and Chargers right there, um we’ll we’ll see when we head into that Bills Patriots game who we want to cheer for. Correct me if I’m wrong. 2015 would have been week 17, was it not? Broncos had to beat the Chargers and the Dolphins had to beat the Patriots. Yep. And then what also was on the line there was the number one seed, which the Broncos did get. Or the Broncos could have dropped all the way down to five. Now, the Broncos in, let’s say it does go to week 17, the division’s on the line cuz the Chargers make a good push, which I don’t think is going to happen. Let’s say it does. The one seed could be on the line with the Broncos playing the Chargers in Denver and the Patriots playing the Dolphins. Uh, and then also the Broncos could get the one seat or they could drop down likely to the four seed in that scenario. The the parallels are crazy. Yeah. Uh, but let’s look at that Charger schedule and let’s do it. Loss, loss, loss, loss. Eagles this week. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I’m not picking them again. I like that’s crazy. That is That is a very tough schedule. Especially one more time, Dion. Let’s just look at it super quick. Um, Eagles do have a pass rush. That scares me when you’re missing your top two tackles. I guess it excites me from a Broncos standpoint. Chiefs exciting for their playoff lives. Yeah, the uh Cowboys defense is all of a sudden at least really good against the run that we know that the Chargers want to try to do that. Then you have to face Will Anderson in week 17 who just racked up as a team 10 sacks uh a couple of weeks ago. And then of course the Broncos. Um yeah. Yeah. This is really good news. Yeah, really really good news. And so what’s the Broncos mindset? Um, got a really, really good quote from Shawn Payeyton about the Broncos mindset going for the number one seat and we’re going to hit it after this break. I want to give a shout out to our friends over at Mac Weldon. Today, when I was getting ready, it’s getting chilly out so you got to throw on a sweatshirt now or an overcoat or something. I’m like, well, what do I want? Of course, I’m going to go with the Kors sweatshirt, but what do I want underneath? And I was like, I want to be the most comfortable I can be today. No, I wouldn’t be spoiling it to say right now that you guys got to have some nacho fries, which are one of my favorite foods in the world. It’s it’s surprisingly hard because obviously cheese fries are a thing. Yep. But it’s hard to get like fast food cheese fries. Like there’s no easy way to go get them except for Taco Bell and then they put the seasoning on them. I’m just a big nacho fries guy. Um they also have all sorts of other stuff. The steak and roasted pablano roll quesadilla is now on the menu. So, yeah, as you say, it’s a twist on a classic form. There’s premium ingredients. They’ve got all the other classics, the um beefy five layer burrito. I’m also a fan of the cheesy fiesta potatoes. Just those are so good as well. So many great options. As college football season winds down, you only have one week left to pick up a Buffs box, the best value in food. So, grab this $7 box filled with four Taco Bell classics and a player collector cup. Live Moss at Taco Bell. Well, also one more thing about the uh Chargers. Justin Herbert has a broken hand. Had surgery on it yesterday. He is hoping to play against the Eagles, but you’re without your two starting tackles. Your quarterback has a broken hand, and you have to play against uh I mean, kind of a desperate Eagles team as well. Uh I don’t like having the uh Super Bowl champs in a desperate position needing that situation. Actually, from a Broncos perspective, I love it. Yeah. Well, to me it’s like the only game where they might not be playing against someone who’s desperate to win is the Broncos game. That’s crazy. They might get the Broncos treatment that they got from the Chiefs last year. Yeah. Conspiracy theory or I want the Chargers to win all these games. Why? Put the Chargers in the playoffs. Don’t let the Don’t let the Chiefs find their way in. See if you can keep the Bills out, the Texans out. I would love to see the Chargers in the playoffs. to to your point, Henry, can we pull up running the Broncos? Can we pull up the standings really quick there, Dion? Um because right now, guys, between the three wildard teams that the Broncos will play in the first round, let’s say they don’t get the first round by, um it would be the Chargers, as Henry says, give that to me. The Colts, oh my gosh, give that to me. I’m afraid the Colts aren’t going to make the playoffs right now. And then the Bills, I I think we would all agree that the Bills are the one that you’d least like to see. And unfortunately, as it stacks up right now, that’s the one that you are going to see right now. But let’s say that the Texans jump the Bills or or there’s a scenario where the Broncos could be playing either the Chargers, Colts, Texans, or Steelers if they don’t get that first round buy in the playoffs. Give that to me all day. And I’m not even scar saying that you’re like scared of the Bills uh or the Chiefs, but if you if you don’t have to play them, there’s four other teams that are legitimate options to play. That that is so incredible. Especially cuz that game will be in Denver. Yeah, the Chiefs. I mean, even if the Chargers fall out, I still don’t see the Chiefs getting in. Ooh. Real conspiracy theory. You could wind up in a situation week 18 where if the Chargers win, they could keep the Chiefs out. I thought that one. Yeah. Which is another interesting It’s a little soon to know what’s coming. That was exactly what happened last year. Remember, if the Broncos beat the Chiefs, um Chiefs had nothing play for Broncos beat the Chiefs. Broncos are in the playoffs, not the Bengals. And everyone in the NFL wanted the Bengals to not be in the playoffs. Broncos could have that same decision. Okay, fine. We’ll sit our starters because we have the number one seed locked up. We’ll let the Chargers win so they make it and not the Chiefs. God, the number one seed and resting in the last game actually does scare me. It’s going to be so hard to say like we want to lose. So here here’s here’s the thing and I guarantee when we get to this situation in three weeks, Shawn Peyton is going to remind everyone almost every single day. So I’ll remind you guys right now exactly what he’s going to do. Shawn Peyton in 2009 when he won the Super Bowl. Um the Chief or the Saints had I don’t know they were like 14 and one or 13-1 or something. They lost week 15 and 16. So they were on a twoame losing streak, but they already had the number one seed locked up going into week 17. So instead of panicking, Sean said, “I don’t care. we’re still going to sit our guys despite losing two games. He sat their guys in week 17, then had a buy. So, it had been over a month since the number one seed had won a game and played good uh from the starter standpoint. They went on to win the Super Bowl. So, Shawn is going to is going to play that just fine. But to your point, I understand why you’d feel like that, but Sean is going to remind us all of that for sure. They just looked a little sluggish coming out of the buy last week. Mhm. Yeah. So then a double buy would scare me. But no, that’s that’s that’s very fair. Champagne problems once again. And and we’re talking about Shawn right now. Let’s play this clip from Shawn. So at the end of his press conference after the win on Sunday, um Shawn was asked some the wording was something along the lines of uh Sean, with the position you’re in now, are you shooting for the the first round or the the number one seed in the AFC West? Are you trying to get that number one seed? And here’s what Sean said. Well, yeah. I mean, that’s the silliest question of the night. I mean, it’s the silliest question of the night. We’re competing for it, you know, but certainly we respect the other teams in our conference, but certainly uh we’re competing for it. Taco Tuesday. Taco Tuesday to bring the vibes totally back. We’re going to hit taco Tuesday. No. Um, and I will say Sean when he was walking off the podium uh gave the reporter uh a couple of extra words to that, a little even more spice about how unpleased he was with that question and how silly in his words he thought it was right there. So, um, Sean, are you competing for the number one seed? Of course we are right now. It was the silliest question. It absolutely was. I’ve never heard Sean talk like that. Like it was so like matter of fact and just he’s like that’s the uh silliest question of the night. Yeah. Which like again like that’s the clear goal. Yeah. The clear goal which I mean it is something we talked about I think last week or two weeks ago like the goals do change because I think coming in the goal would have been win the division. Now that goal is not in hand but it’s you’re you’ve already put yourself in a position to do that. Now you need to set the bar higher. Yeah. 100%. And that’s something Sean’s talked about for the past two years that there’s three goals every year. The first one and it starts in this order. The first one, like you said, Ryan, win the division. Broncos very much on pace to do that. Then then the goal moves to uh playoff seating, which means the number one seed. You try for that. Then the third goal is Super Bowl. So right now the Broncos, you’re thinking about the Super Bowl, but you still got to reach that second goal, which is get that number one seed. And then once they do that, then it’s all about the Super Bowl. Broncos two for two right now. Looking like that. um because it is a guarantee. All the Broncos have to do is beat the Raiders on Sunday. Doesn’t matter what else happens around the league and the Broncos will jump them for that one seed. Also, the question, what’s up with the Chargers slander? It’s been tough for us to beat them. It’s because of the injuries. Like to make that very clear, you’re too Justin Herbert aside, your two best players on offense are the tackles. Those two guys are gone. And that’s just kind of the tip of the iceberg. That’s that’s why like you want to play the Chargers is because so many of their good players aren’t there. Yeah. And they’re the Chargers, right? And we’ve seen them in the playoffs before. that person I I will say does have a point. Um Oh, totally. The Broncos are 0 and3 since Harbaugh’s been hired. Yeah. Against which is just it’s crazy. Yet I still just think like the Broncos would beat him in Denver in a home game. And if let’s say the Broncos have to have that week 18 game, I still think they beat him. I do think it’s a fair thing to point out that So is Herbert going to have to play with a cast on? He’s going to have to, right? Like what kind like But they can’t It can’t be a club. It’s his non-throwing hand, but still you have to be able to grip the ball with two hands, catch the snap. Yeah. If you think about just like when, you know, a rusher comes around the edge and you got to put it down, like you already know they’re coming for that. So, a lot of times the quarterback will go to the other arm, but like he’s not going to be able to get a firm grip on it. That’s going to be interesting. Obviously, it’s massively better than it being in your throwing hand, right? But you you need both hands as a quarterback. And imagine being a pass rusher. Like how many times do you just get a free shot at the guy’s hand? Like you could do it on every play. It’s not penalty. And that’s the thing is like they’re gonna have to protect it a lot, but they can’t protect it so much that he can’t like he’s have to be able to get his fingers those fingers on the ball. 100%. Who who needs uh whose hands are more important, a pass rusher or a quarterback? Quarterback. And they are important for a pass rusher, but it’s 100% a quarterback. We heard Nick Bonito talk after the game. He even went on social media and said like how much the brace impacted him and that’s a pass rusher like a quarterback it’s going to be way more important right I mean like if he had a rib injury if you want to go like hit him in the ribs after a play that’s a penalty like you’re not able to do that slapping him on the hand when when like he releases the ball just hitting the other like that there is nothing wrong with that. If I if I’m Harbaugh, I’m probably sitting him for a week because you don’t have to have this game because you do have a twoame lead on the Chiefs for that final spot. It’s not the Chiefs though that you’re you’re battling for. It’s the rest of the wild card teams, which is just the Texans at seven and four, though. Yeah. The surging Texans who you play. So, if you give up that game, right, then Yeah. Oh my gosh. Regardless, the Chiefs are in a really tough spot and the Chargers are in a really bad spot as well right now. It’s just it’s incredible news. Things outside of the Patriots winning last night, things just keep coming up orange and blue for the Broncos and they can just take care of business themselves. Before we hit super chats, Dion, where are we? Are we anywhere close? Still far away? Uh, splash zone. In the splash zone. In the splash zone. Does that mean we’ve hit it or close means we’re close? Separate close. Okay. Okay. Do we have a cup of water around? No, we have to do it as we got coffee. Oh, I do have my water bottle. Ice cold. We can do a bit more. Um, well, we still have a couple more minutes. Hit us with a thumbs up. Donate to today’s day of giving for Big Brothers Big Sisters. And before we get out of here, we got a couple of super chats to hit. Also buying time for you guys to donate. Let’s get to the super chats. Dion, if you don’t mind pulling those up for us, or Henry can read them, we’ll pull them up right here. Uh, Neem Dog says, “Alex Singleton is the goat.” We’ll pass that message on to him because I completely agree as well. And says, “Broncos give me a damn heart attack every game, but I wouldn’t want it any other way. Jim Moira ruined my week. Broncos brought it back. Love this team. I wonder if Yukon football fan.” Yeah. Yukon football fan and for some reason just does not like Jim Mora and he’s a CSU fan. Um that would be crazy if they were just a super anti-Jim Morris CSU fan. Yeah. What would be the crossover there? You You’re a Falcons fan, too. It’s kind Yeah. like he was a disaster there. He wasn’t even that bad. He’s just kind of like lame. Yeah. Like there’s some coaches you hire, you get fired up and just like I’m fired up for it. I’m fired up. Okay. Yeah. I think I would be too if I was a CSU fan. Yeah. Uh just stability. Good. Um how about Alex talk? He brought up the uh Nathaniel Hackad era and and I just think that that honesty shows where the team is at right now. He’s saying like when we were playing the Jets, you would have thought we were up 100. However, a couple of years ago with a lot of the same guys, we get a pick six in that game or an interception and we just knew it was over. Yeah. I mean, it goes all the way back to the Eagles game when you just had to win one that made you believe and the next time they got in that situation, they believed again. And now it’s so contagious that I bet you they don’t even remember what it feels like to not think you’re going to win. Yeah. Uh no matter what. And he even said like something along the lines of like, yeah, when they went out for the two-point conversion, we’re just like, okay, it’s another opportunity for us to win. The other side of that would have been like, oh god, here they come for out for the two-point conversion. We could lose right now. But it was like, no, it was it was one last opportunity for the defense to win the game for the team. That’s how they saw it. That’s just it’s crazy how psychological sports are. And this team has all the right psychology right now. They 100% do. And I mean, I just You don’t Oh, I said I would I would cave I would crash. I said on the watch along like I can’t there fantasy drafts where I was like, “Oh, this clock is ticking fast. I’m just not I’m not built for that sort of pressure.” Uh Neem Dog says, “Be fired up. I’m a Yukon fan and he was great. Love to hear that.” Those are good. Come to Denver. Um you pay me $2, I’ll believe whatever you want. Wow. Um let’s let’s end on this quote from Tony Dunie. He said this on Football Night in America before the Broncos game. Before they did what they did, I’m sure this what happened on Sunday Night Football would only add to Tony Dunie’s feelings. He said, quote, “The Broncos are the best team in the AFC right now. Outstanding defense, and they’re clutch on offense. The defense feels like all they have to do is keep it close and Bon Knicks will win it for us.” They used to say this about Patrick Mahomes in Kansas City. Love that. Yep. Love that. Also, before we get out of here, should say in the other studio, Walker Mfort, the man making all the decisions for the Rockies, is currently talking with our Rockies guys. So, when we’re done, just bounce right over. Um, any uh water on me or am I safe today? You’re safe today. All right, tomorrow you might not. All right, we’ll see. We’ll see. Make sure to tune in tomorrow where we’re having our guy Brian Baldinger on. Shout out to Alex Singleton. Shout out to Ryan. Shout out to Henry. Shout out to Dion. We will see you tomorrow at noon on the DMV Broncos podcast. [Music] [Applause] We all silly like the mayor.

Where will the Broncos tail gate be at the Raiders stadium? I ran into a count of nice people at the chiefs game that travel to all game and set up tail gate for visiting team. I forgot to ask them. Please help.

Friend of the program! Absolutely love Singleton!
Broncos Dominate Tatters Final score Broncos 42 Tatters 13 this time and the Defense gets back on the Sack Attack with at least 6-8 Sacks and force Multi Turnovers forced and maybe the Defense gets that Pick 6 that has eluded them and Bo Nix throws 3-4 TD Passes in this one too!!!
Alex's play saved his life. The league tested him because he's absolutely standing on business.
