Oklahoma City Thunder’s championship pedigree took over vs. Golden State Warriors | NBA on NBC

FAMERS. LET’S START WITH THAT. FOR THE SIXTH TIME THIS SEASON WE SAW THEM DOWN IN THE FOURTH QUARTER BUT THEY STILL FOUND A WAY TO GUT IT OUT. AND HE SAID THAT TO ASHLEY. NOT ALL GAMES WILL BE BIG LEADS. >> I DON’T THINK ANY OF US AT THE DESK WERE WORRIED ABOUT THAT. IT WAS JUST A MATTER OF THEM TURNING THE PRESSURE UP DEFENSIVELY. THIRD QUARTER. GOLDEN STATE HAD THEIR WAY. THEIR WAY. AND AS YOU SIGH, SHAI WAS TALKING ABOUT THEM APPLYING PRESSURE. THE GUYS GETTING OUT IN TRANSITION, RIGHT? IT HAPPENS. WHEN IT’S TIME TO BUCKLE DOWN AND WIN A BASKETBALL GAME, CHAMPIONSHIP PEDIGREE TOOK OVER AND THEY UPPED THE PRESSURE. GOLDEN STATE DON’T HAVE, YOU KNOW, THERE ARE CORE GUYS. HIGH IMPACT PLAYERS TO MAKE THAT DEFENSE BE AT THEIR MERCY. IT IS A POSITIVE SIGN, GOLDEN STATE, IF THEY CAN BUILD OFF THAT. >> THERE IS A LOT OF POINTS. 67, 68 POINTS OFF THE THE BENCH. YOU GOT THE COOLEST, CALMEST CLOSER IN THE GAME. HE WAS SITTING ON THE BENCH LIKE, LOOK, MAN. WHAT WE GONNA DO? SHAI 38 POINTS, FIVE OF SIX ON THE THREE. THE GAME SLOWS DOWN FOR SHAI. YOU KNOW, FOR HIS RHYTHM. HE TAKES ADVANTAGE. ANY AND EVERYBODY. HE UNDERSTANDS HOW TO GET THERE. HE’S UNBOTHERED, MAN. IT’S SPECIAL TO WATCH. TO SEE HIM IN THOSE MOMENTS. AND THEN WE HAVE TO GIVE A SHOUTOUT TO GOLDEN STATE, TOO. WE SAW LIKE A VINTAGE DRAYMOND GREEN. THE BENCH WAS INCREDIBLE. I THINK YOU SAID 67, 68 POINTS OFF THE BENCH. >> IN THE NAME OF SETH CURRY, YOU THROW OUT A NAME WE WEREN’T EVEN TALKING ABOUT THE GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS. SHOUT OUT TO SETH AND SHOUT OUT TO YOU FOR SEEING THAT. >> I MEAN, OKC UNDERSTANDS. ALL RIGHT. EVERYBODY IS RATTLED. OR SEEMS LIKE IT. YOU THINK WE’RE RATTLED. WAIT UNTIL WE GET TO THE SIX-MINUTE MARK. SHAI CAME IN A LITTLE BEFORE THE SIX-MINUTE MARK. ONCE IT GOES, THE FIRST THREE, WHAT DO WE SAY? OH-OH! THEY HAVE TO START. THEY GO BACK DOWN. HIT ANOTHER THREE. GET THE DRIVE. ANOTHER WIDE OPEN SPOT. THEY SCORE. GOLDEN STATE COMES BACK. GET TWO BUCKETS. GET TWO STOPS. NEXT THING YOU KNOW, THE GAME IS OUT OF HAND. THAT’S WHAT THEY DO. THEY DON’T GET RATTLED. THEY HAVE CONFIDENCE IN THEIR STAR, THEIR LEADER WHO SEEMS UNPHASED. THEY’VE ALL BEEN THERE AND THEY ALL TRUST THE PROCESS. >> IT’S THE TALE OF ONE-ON-ONE. ONE-ON-ONE PLAYERS. SHOT CREATORS. GOLDEN STATE, SHOT CREATORS ARE OUT. AND SHAI IS ONE OF THE BEST SHOT CREATORS AND ONE OF THE BEST CLOSERS. THE BEST ONE-ON-ONE BASKETBALL PLAYERS. SO IF YOU DON’T HAVE ANYBODY THAT HAS THAT TYPE OF POISE AND CAN CLOSE OUT GAMES FOR YOU, IT IS HARD TO BEAT A TEAM FOR 48 MINUTES. HARD TO BEAT A TEAM LIKE OKC. >> AND THEIR DEFENSE. >> IT’S LIKE, OKAY. ALL OF A SUDDEN, GOLDEN STATE’S OFFENSE IS STARTING CLOSER TO HALF COURT. THEY’RE TAKING IT OUT OF RHYTHM. AND WILL THAT TRANSLATES AND

  1. 3 ring less mfs talking about championship pedigree. Don’t get me wrong they are legends & we’re good basketball players but cmon now. They look so dumb talking about how to WIN in the NBA. These 3 guys never did anything in their career. T Mac was a 1st round exit & injury prone. Carter was like Zion today. All the talent in the world & just no heart. Decided to become a role player for the next 15 years on trash teams. Then you have Melo. A guy who couldn’t buy in with the Thunder & Rockets to allow him to actually WIN. Probably the most selfish superstar of all time. It wasn’t until no teams wanted him that he finally decided to take a backseat. Why he joined the Lakers in 2022 as his final year is exactly what T Mac & Vince would have done. Great minds think alike. The 3 stooges 🤡 🤡 🤡
