Welp… team is officially in their worst funk of the entire season.
**EDIT:** Home from the game. Welp. Back-to-back L’s given the last time I went was Edmonton.. what can ya do?
Bob bounced back well after the shaky start but man… 2 goals on 4 shots to start the game after the run he’s been on is TOUGH. Can’t exactly say we challenged Woll with a bunch of tough shots either.
Hell of a job to get the shortie but man… that powerplay in the 3rd after Joshua’s interference was the chance and sadly Marchand had some awful passes that sabotaged the chance for us to get anything going.
Not that I expect him to magically fix everything but Chucky can’t make it back soon enough.
Yeaaa lets hope they can turn this ship around before the winter classic or even the post season…
I hate to say it but i think Mackie’s gotta go. With everyone out and the minutes he’s getting (including PP), he really should have picked up the production. 3 goals in 25 games is simply not enough. Somehow he’s never in a good shooting position unless he’s on the power play.
Yes, this team is tough to watch. Last in the Division. And they don’t even have their 1st Round pick.
But man, this team has been to THREE Finals in a row. Won the last TWO. That is just not easy to do, and it takes a toll.
I am sorry, but I’m still blissfully happy for the success this team has had. 2023-25 will be forever in my heart. It may honestly last me a lifetime.
I’m just bummed for the team. Maurice is clearly at a loss. There’s nothing more he can do with all the injuries. All of the lines are completely borked, no one gets time to build chemistry with anyone, 40% of the lineup are AHLers.
Kind of forecasting a lost season.
We got two cups
It all comes down to injuries. It sucks and its frustrating as all hell to watch but I don’t think there is much you can do to overcome the disadvantage we’re at with just how much personnel we’re missing.
No individual performance feels egregiously bad enough for practically everyone in the lineup being forced to play in positions they shouldn’t be in.
The roster we iced tonight was under the cap floor. Our strength was our depth and now it’s been whittled away to the point where every player is overexposed.
Eight regulars out. **Eight**. Not much you can expect with a Swiss cheese lineup. Especially considering which eight are missing.
Petry is a pylon. Forsling looks like he’s playing hurt and/or exhausted. It is what it is.
Focus on getting healthy guys back, avoid additional injuries and see if they can go on a run. All there is to it.
I expected it to be worse. They played hard and tried, they just don’t have the horses right now because they’re essentially the Checkers Plus. Bob recovered real well from a bad start and made some incredible saves. It’s annoying but what can you do in this situation but wait it out and hope we get our guys back in time. There isn’t a team in the history of the NHL that could withstand the wholesale roster slaughter we’re dealing with.
Losing to the leafs is the definition of rock bottom.
Panthers have been a great team but this is why dynasties like the isles 19 consecutive playoff series wins in a row has never been matched in any sport. It’s hard to keep winning it’s physically and mentally exhausting. Panthers have won 11 series of past 12 and 8 in a row. That’s pretty damn good.
Still have the Ekblad’s lovers in here? That was the worst extension one can have.
