I mean….

  1. 6 month contract. Retire here or release after. ( prefer he retire here)

Big Play Slay! Would be cool with me!

    Edit: meh.

  2. Would he be that much worse than Jackson? Though he’s been playing decent as of late.

  3. Did you see the Steelers defense play at all this year? Unless he can convince Nick to turn over play calling duties, not interested.

  4. He’s got five weeks in him, even splitting reps with Adoree’. Washed Slay improves that outside corner spot even if he’s not taking 100% of the work.

  5. I think we could use his leadership right now more than ever, even if he doesn’t have as much to give on the field.

  6. This sub has an unhealthy obsession with washed ex-eagles. Slay was awful with the Steelers, he was either injured or getting burnt.

Just a little over a month ago this sub was creaming itself over BG coming back. He’s done little to nothing since returning.

  7. I would definitely welcome Big Play Slay back…they should have taken CJGJ back as well. Sirini is overly confident, it’s hurting his judgement.

  8. Pick him up immediately. He’s much better than Adoree. So tired of Ringo and Jackson being a weakness

  9. I’m down for it. Even if he isn’t Big Play Slay but just solid play Slay he will be useful. He definitely knows the scheme and how to play off & communicate with the rest of the D.

It’s easy to be skeptical if he has anything left but I am curious how much of that has to do with Pittsburghs scheme not being suited for him. The Steelers D, especially secondary, has a history of not being the best that past several years under Tomlin. May not be so indicative of the individual vs team concept.

Or I’m just putting on those rose glasses but worth a shot.

  10. You mean what? So we see Howie go get a CB that doesn’t even get any playing time.

  11. Dude wouldn’t stay for a small contract. Took the money, got cut… really – got greedy. No thx

  12. I love Slay but if he was always hurt last year I doubt that will be any different now that he’s another year older.

  13. Howie has great timing in moving on from people, though admittedly he kept Bradberry a year too long
