Steve Young Declares Christian McCaffrey a Future Hall of Famer & Draws Roger Craig Comparison

  1. If you would’ve asked me 3 months ago if CMC was a HOFer I would’ve said no. Missed too much time, counting stats not there, etc etc.

But the closer he gets to a 2nd 1k/1k season, I’ve really flip flopped on my opinion. He will probably go down as the best dual threat RB of all time and that should be enough for a case. I just really hope he stays healthy the rest of his career and plays his days out here. Because CMC and shanahan are pure magic

  2. I think his issues are all about health. He’s clearly talented, he could easily be the first player all time with 2 1000/1000 seasons although seasons are longer now. Hes current 71st in rushing yards all time and 63rd in scrimmage yards. TDs he’s already 30th. Hes 4th in scrimmage yards per game (113.1)—the guys above him didn’t play much past their prime (Jim brown—125.5, Barry 118.9 and TD 113.9). He has 3 pro bowls, about to have 4. He has 2 first team AP, 1 second team. I expect him to make it this year potentially with JT/Gibbs, worst case seems he’ll be AP2.

  3. Don’t we need to get Roger in before saying someone else is a hall of famer and using him as a comparison?
