Everyone saying let’s sign him, I don’t want to hear he’s washed on game days or spamming his IG. I’m here for it from a culture / mentorship standpoint though but I don’t expect a lot from him as a CB
Can he coach an offense?
If the only thing he does is just sit on the bench and yell at Adoree it’s already worth it lol.
Think he waits to see who wins tomorrow Detroit just lost Arnold and Dallas is a dark horse. I don’t think Slay coming back would improve this defense enough for it to be a good move. The offense is the problem. When they roll the Defense looks great

So I guess Jakorian Bennett is just never gonna be a thing…? Slay is 35, oldest corner in the league, but we really could use some veteran leadership on the defense.
It’s no surprise Slay has fallen off, but I can say with some degree of certainty that he’s probably fine in a #2 role where we just need him to not make egregious mental mistakes and we need him to tackle at the catch point when beat. These are things we haven’t been able to expect from CB2 for much of the year.
I’ve seen great players tank in those areas too once they’ve lost a step, but it’s worth a shot.

I feel like this is trying to “get the band back together” and expecting the same results as last yr. That’s not going to happen, we should have been able to work with and coach up the guys that are currently on our roster. BG may be adding valuable leadership in the locker room (and that may be enough) but on the field I dont see it
