Late night thought, I think this team would be very fun to watch.

No need to be sorry, Deni said more than once that his father wanted him to play for Serbia (because his father was the captain of Red Star Belgrade, Yugoslavia, a powerhouse team back then. He also took part with Yugoslavia’s national team)
Deni’s father, Zufer, has another son from previous marriages, who didn’t reach far in basketball, so maybe it is for the best
No need to be sorry what if scenarios are fun

Serbia could have won way more medals, but the NT is always drowning in drama like bad chemistry, players refusing call-ups, coach beefs, federation nonsense. If Avdija joined, they would probably come up with some drama about him not being 100% Serbian and he would not play anyway.
I saw a Serbian comment that Luka’s parents were also originally from Serbia but they left to Slovenia for job opportunities, didn’t fact check it but imagine Luka, Deni and Jokic on the same team damn

Reunite Yugoslavia for basketball reasons
Would be pretty cool, but Deni was Bron in Israel and seems to have no real connection to Serbia, thankfully we get to see both teams in international play. Hopefully Israel will make FIBA this time with Saraf, Wolf and Mayer
I think he should do what he feels is best for him
