Talked to Ryan Rollins on Monday and tried to sort through his departure from the Wizards.
Why Washington cut him, how he feels about the move and what's propelled him to make a leap this season in my latest:

Ask presti, ask OKC, It’s not just about talent, it’s about PERSONALITIES. They draft good people first. If we want a winning culture, there’s no room for people like this. No mistake was made.
Plus, this is one of the wilder jumps in 2 years ever made. Riding back of the bench on the wizards to starting caliber guard in 2 years just doesn’t happen. No regrets, onward and upward.
Why does the fanbase always focus so much on players who are no longer here lol
I hate when people lump us in with the Warriors when talking about Rollins. If he hadn’t committed a spree of shoplifting I’m pretty confident he’d still be on the team. Real ones knew he had a lot of potential.
Not upset over this. Yes, he’s been a good story, but he had his chances here.
Nobody expected Rollins to make the jump he did. The guy looked destined for the G-League not even 2 years ago
Can’t be angry with the front office with that
Tell Jeff Bezos to sell the Washington Post and I’ll resubscribe someday.
why do we get a Rollins regret posts daily, I know we are losing many games but our future actually looks bright under will dawkins. I’m glad he’s doing well after that dumb mistake but please no more Rollins regret posts. It was a very reasonable decision to cut him back then, and there is no point in dwelling in the past, especially since we have a promising rebuild in the works right now.
He shopLifted his game to new heights.
Makes you wonder if he might’ve stuck around a little longer had he not had the shoplifting. Or if they just didnt see much with him basketball-wise.
Well, we just beat a fully healthy Bucks team, and I doubt even if he was performing at this level, he would move the needle for us.
Pretty clear why we cut him; he broke the law and got charged. I’m proud that we hold players accountable for their conduct off the court, and there was no reasonable explanation for keeping him and turning a blind eye.
He’s having a good season, sure. But I don’t think he’s a starter material on a good team.
Could care less. Good for him. There’s a gazillion of these stories. Sometimes guys leave teams and go somewhere else and it works out for them. Harper, Rodman, Julius Randle, B.I., Brunson, Harden, Lavine, Derozan, and like a hundred other dudes. Rockets lost Horry and he went on to win five more championships while the Rockets have yet to even make it back to the finals. Don’t care.
But like somebody else said in here, once they have a winning team and more notable players, some of the people who can’t seem to move on, finally will. Some folks need a replacement before they can move on. It’ll take 3 or 4 more years at minimum, but it’ll happen.
His start to the year is fools gold
Man wizards be sucking dick for talent god
