[Charania] Just in: Giannis Antetokounmpo and his agent Alex Saratsis have started conversations with the Milwaukee Bucks about the two-time NBA MVP’s future – and discussing whether his best fit is staying or elsewhere, sources tell ESPN. A resolution is expected in the coming weeks.

  1. I know, I know, no one wants to make a move and I doubt we have the firepower but hey we weren’t expecting to get Mitchell. I’m not familiar with second apron restrictions for this but if it’s at all feasible then we gotta kick the tires on some conversations.

  2. I’m once again not clear on salary cap rules, but without even getting into whether it’d make sense, isn’t it literally impossible for us to trade for him without getting under the apron first?

  9. Darius and Mobley to the Bucks. Giannis and Kuzma to the Cavs. Strus to a team with a high Traded Player Exception to absorb the salary (like Miami). It works; therefore it’s happening.

  10. I don’t know that I love the idea of blowing up our team, but he’s also the type of player that if you were going to blow up the team it’d be for him. I also don’t understand caps and aprons and all that salary stuff so I have no idea how possible it would even be, but it seems like it’s next to impossible.

  12. Would quite literally have to be a 3 team trade and would probably gut our depth. We’d have to win this year or next year then quickly reset.

  14. According to Windy, the Bucks are going to let Giannis choose where he goes, and then work out a trade that’s acceptable.

    Cant imagine that Giannis is clamoring to come to Cleveland.

  16. Garland + Allen + every pick we can legally trade. Not sure if that’s even close to enough to get the deal done or if it’s even legal

  17. We can’t trade for him so it doesn’t matter. Hopefully he gets traded to the west so we don’t have to deal with him anymore.
