🚨Giants Rumors: Joe Schoen NOT SAFE As Giants General Manager?

Are we sure that Joe Shane is going to be the general manager of the New York Football Giants next season? We’re going to break that down here on New York Giants Now by Chat Sports. I am your host, Marshall Green, and we are almost 24 hours after the Joe Shane press conference where he understood all the questions that everybody asked. And following that, there’s been some chatter and some buzz that he may not be that safe as the Giants GM. If you want the Giants to fire Joe Shane, hit that thumbs up icon right now. I want to start with this. I’ve gone back and I’ve watched the press conference twice. I have now fully read the full transcript. So, I always think it’s good to read it as well. And I want to start with this. Shout out to Dan Dougen for surfacing this piece. Last year, Joe Shane was asked at his by-week presser, “Has ownership told you that you will definitely be back?” Joe Shane said, “I communicate with ownership all the time.” I know Dabes talks about that continuously each time these questions come up and we have a really good relationship with ownership and we communicate constantly with them and there’s confidence in the plan and where we are heading. He was also asked, “Do you expect to be back here, especially if this team doesn’t win games down the stretch?” He said yes. So, he answered emphatically last year that he was going to be back as the Giants general manager. He was asked that same question again yesterday and he had a lot different answer. He was asked, “Have you been given any assurances that you will be seeing that coaching search and into next year though?” He says, “Yeah, again, our focus is going to be on supporting CFKA and his staff. Ownership will evaluate the entire football operation at the end of the season as they should.” As they should, he said it twice. And then we’ll go from there. So last year it was yes and this year it was ownership as they should should evaluate the entire process. He also said I’m going to control what I can control which is support CFKA over the next four weeks. Ownership should and will evaluate the entire football operation at the end of it. I’m just going to continue to support KFKA and his staff and do the best we can over these last four weeks. He also said, “God willing, I am here next year.” And he was up there singing a much different tune than what he was last year at the by-week when it comes to his job security. I truly do believe after listening to that press conference yesterday, after talking to some people, reading some things, and hearing some things, I think that there is a chance that Joe Shane gets fired. And I don’t want to say it’s 5050 at this point. 4555 he’s canned, 4060 that he’s canned. I think that there is a good chance that Joe Shane is going to be fired at the end of the season. And if the New York Giants continue to embarrass themselves like they have over the last 24 hours, I think it is going to happen. Think about what has happened for the New York Giants over the last 24 hours. They get blown out on Monday Night Football. Mike Kfka had the second weirdest press conference following the Joe Judge press conference that I have ever heard where he said it was his decision to bench Abdul Carter and it wasn’t disciplinary and that when Abdul Carter is on the field he makes plays and he helps the Giants but he decided to bench him because it was his decision. And then when he was asked how disappointing is it that this has now happened for Abdul two times in the last three weeks he said yeah it is disappointing. So, he said it was Abdul’s disciplinary actions that caused him to be suspended. Then it wasn’t, but then it was. Then it was his decision. He’s a good player. Mike Cafka made a fool of himself and he made the New York Giants fool of himself just like they did on Monday Night Football. And then you have Jackson Dart at the press conference saying, “I’m not going to take care of myself. I’m not going to slide. I I’m not going to take myself out of harm’s way. I’m a football player. I’m not a soccer player. I’m going to get hit in the pocket, outside the pocket. I’m going to get hit.” And he went on to say, “This is who I am. If you followed my career and you watched my high school film, that you would know that.” So, Jackson Dart, I thought I had a bad moment at the presser. Mike Cafka again strikes out at the presser. And Joe Shane’s presser was a joke and they were embarrassed on Monday Night Football. Four major red flags for John Mara. I know this, John Mara hates to be the butt of the joke. and the New York Giants over the last 24 hours have been the butt of the joke amongst all 32 teams in the National Football League. I believe there is a legit shot that Joe Shane is going to be fired and then I thought it was a little bit weird at the beginning of the meeting he talked about the Giants and the ownership will evaluate everything and that’s what we talked about back on November 11th. That’s why you subscribe to the channel when Ian O’ Conor reported I don’t believe Joe Shane is certain to be the Giants GM next year. They needed something to get things going on the search especially with John Mara dealing with his illness. Ownership will make the final call on the coach in January when I expect Joe Shane to be reviewed. He then added context last night saying Joe Shane confirmed that he will be evaluated again after the season. Nothing he said today makes me think that evaluation will be a very pleasant one. It would be a good idea for the Giants to finish three and one against these fellow bad teams. If you are letting the final four games of the 2025 season determine the fate of Joe Shane, that would just be gasoline on the dumpster fire. That has the that is the New York Giants. You should already know if Joe Shane is going to be your general manager next year. And the picture is painted in fluorescent colors, he should be fired. But I did think it was weird that by the end of the press conference, Joe Shane went from talking about the football operations need to be looked at as they should, as they should by ownership to we are going to look at the entire football operations. Everything from free agency, draft, coaching, execution, what can we do better? What can we do better? Because there are pieces here. There are pieces here. Why aren’t we maximizing what we have? And that’s going to be our mission this offseason to try to figure that figure that out. Maybe that was him pleading for his job and saying, “I’m gonna do all this this offseason, John. Give me another chance. God willing, I’m here this year. This time next year, I’ll be better than I was last year. I’m better now than I was four years ago.” Can you imagine how good Joe Shane is going to be in 30 years if he’s still the Giants general manager? I’m sick of it. I’m sick of it. Fire Joe Shane. Spam it in the comments sections if you want it to happen. It’s got to happen. It can’t not happen. He sounded like a dead man up there at the press conference. And you know what? I even slightly feel bad for him because you know what? He has done a bad job. But when you got to go up there in front of the New York media and get pelted with bullets of questions about how bad you’ve been, you know what? He’s human. I’m human. And sometimes I wonder, am I too hard on him? But it’s my job to give my opinion. And maybe I’m sometimes too over the top, but I don’t know. I just I want what’s best for the Giants. And I want what is best for you that is watching this video. And I truly do believe it is moving on from Joe Shane. Um Dan Dugen tweeting out Joe Shane’s parting shot at a painful press conference was that Giants won’t have any trouble filling the head coach job. The same would be true if the GM job was open. He has to hope ownership doesn’t come to that obvious conclusion when they evaluate a body of work that was impossible for him to defend yesterday. It’s a great point. Just like the head coach job should be attractive, the GM job would be just as attractive. I don’t know how you keep Joe Shane. I think after yesterday, um, there’s more belief that there is going to be a change. Um, we’ll find out. Only five games, four games left, five weeks left. Giants on a by-week.   2. Rehire JOE SCHONE………..and you know absolutely nothing about how an organization is run…….if the Maras would have listened to fans. Bill Parcells would have been history in 1983 and the giants wouldn’t have won 2 superbowls……..

  7. I did not watch the presser, but here is my take on Schoen. He has done some good things and some bad things, The bad outweighs the good. he let Barkley and McKinny walk free. His first 2 drafts were bad. Whoever you have 1 or 2 bad drafts, you lose ground in relation to the rest of the league. His last draft was considered to be a good one, but has not lived up to expectations. So either the last draft was not as good as expected, or maybe the coaching has been bad, or maybe both.

  8. It’s actually sad marsh I got to met Joe literally slap five with this guy and daboll in their first winning and only winning season out in Jacksonville in 2022 my wife got her hat signed by daboll with the cigar in his mouth and snakequon freaking signed my dam jersey boy has time changed 😢

  18. They may need to add a small airstrip in the parking lot to accommodate all the planes that will be buzzing around Met Life when they play the Commanders on December 14th. PATHETIC. Wonder if I, and many of us, will even make it to halftime.
    Been a fan for a long time, 1962 when I watched my 1st game. Can't really remember a time when it looked like they just don't care!!!😢😢😢😢

  31. I don't feel bad fir him he makes really good $. He is a terrible talent evaluater miffed on 2 many draft picks. Then he hangs onto his picks that can't play Kafka in an impossible position, he has no chance on keeping HC job, there all losers. He new blood

If you've been a part of losing severely and getting players injured severely and giving away our franchise player and "Hall of famer" Barkely a once in a decade player you should be fired and exiled from footage.   34. Mara, has dimension too. Look who he hires! Once he stops being a primate rasist owner. We will win again. There is tons of talent out that run who won the front office on a professional in winning level but they may not be the right color for "maraaaa"
