Andrew Whitworth Opens Up on Bengals’ Playoff Chances After Joe Burrow’s Return

y’all love doing this to yourselves. The rage posts on Monday morning are going to be unbearable
If the defensive line can continue to generate the same level of pressure as they did last week, every game from here on out is completely winnable. Burrow showed some signs of rust but overall played a solid game, and definitely a better one than I think most rational people expected. A long week for him to rest up and prepare is very helpful. Most likely not having Tee is going to be rough, but we’ll see if a little more practice time with Tinsley gets them on the same page.
Who Dey
The season is over boys and girls. We are not going to win out or get the help from the other teams.
Just enjoy the next few games for what they are and forget about the playoffs.
I think the idea of this Bengals team making the playoffs is wishful thinking, bordering on being objectively impossible. However, that’s why they play the games.
They just have to win every game and have Steelers lose ( one against Baltimore) two and Baltimore lose one , hopefully against AFC opponents. Then they are all tied and Bengals have the tie breakers.
Remember what happened last year. The problem is that the Bengals have left their playoff hopes to be the decision of another team. Just like they did last year.
The season record is what it is.
I think if you just look at the remaining games as opportunity to watch Burrow and the Bengals play some football — sure. Joe is back. Games *should* be more fun.
But if you are looking at this more/beyond that, I think it is setting you up for more disappointment/anger.
