If you've been a fan for at least the last 25 years what has been your favorite Era? Not the necessarily the best era just your favorite.
Carson Palmer Era: Chad Johnson, TJ Houshmandzadeh, Rudi Johnson, Jeremi Johnson, Willie Anderson, Chris Henry, Deltha O'Neal & Shayne Graham
Andy Dalton Era: A.J. Green, Andrew Whitworth, Tyler Eifert, Carlos Dunlap, Pac-Man, Giovani Bernard, Jeremy Hill, Domato Peko, Mike Nugent & Vontaze Burfict
Joe Burrow Era: Joe Mixon, Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, Tyler Boyd, Trey Hendrickson, Sam Hubbard, D.J. Reader, Von Bell, Chido & Evan McPherson
I might be a little nostalgic but the Palmer era was my favorite. I was a fan of the 80's teams but Chad, TJ and Carson made me fall in love with football again after the lost decade of the 90"s.

As a younger fan, what era were we defensively rough, tough?
The Palmer era will always be special to me. That was the first stretch of success in my Bengals fandom
Pass Boot Run (was the question like “fuck marry kill?”)
Grew up on the Palmer era. Burrow era has probably been the most fun.
I’m one of the few fans that hated the Dalton years
As someone who’s been following the team since the Kitna years Chad made me love football but my favorite era is unequivocally the one where we have a legit shot to compete for titles. Nothing will top what Burrow brings to the team for me
Palmer era. The resurgence and fun. Then pain.
Burrow. Last 3 years have been torture, but you can’t beat the joy of winning playoff games
Chose the Bengals as my team when I was a kid (2012ish probably?) so I have a lot of nostalgia for the Dalton era. Eifert, Dunlap, Gio, Boyd (ik he’s more recent but he was my favorite for years). The current era has been really fun, but also extremely frustrating. When we should be bad it doesn’t hurt as much to lose, but when we should be good and put up these extremely mid seasons, its really frustrating.
Y’all are silly. Try watching Kitna or Smith. Blessed to have Dalton, Palmer, and Burrow. Cursed with the worse injury luck in 25 years. Steelers took out Palmer’s knee in a dirty play that when for 50yds to Henery. Dalton gets taken out in 13 win season. Burrow is a target, week after week.
Burrow era is, I think objectively better, but honestly I think my favorite is the palmer era even with palmer which I’ll touch on in a sec.
Rudi my dog, Chad was just so… Much…. Fun… And housh was like a steel plate of a receiver, it was fun to watch him go over the middle and a safety would slam into him but he’d just bounce backward and stay on hit feet somehow.
And honestly, as much as I dislike palmer for how he has dragged his grudge out with the FO for way longer than makes sense, the beauty of that mans’ seven step drop and launch is still unmatched in my opinion. Doechsnically sound and just LOOKED powerful. I know dude like rodgers could just flick it, but Palmer’s was so pretty to look at and I can’t even really explain why.
If we had Burrow with the Dalton era players, we’d have rings
For personally the Palmer (but really the Ocho) era is my favorite. Too young to appreciate the 80s and came of age during the hell that was the 90s. So seeing the team turn around, show some promise and give me hope, while being entertaining as anything was great.
Dalton era was a blast because there was some consistency in winning during the regular season even if the playoffs were always a dud. Great players but not the personalities of the Ocho era.
Burrow era has been the most frustrating because of them all this is the one that feels like it should produce a winner, and here we are. Great players, fun personalities, but ultimately a letdown. Hopefully it turns a corner and changes my mind in the next few seasons…but come on, this is the Bengals we’re talking about.
Kind of crazy we’ve had 3 starting QBs since like early 2000
Bye Dalton
Run Burrow, pass Dalton, boot Palmer. Burrow will almost certainly be the goat Bengals and Dalton had some intangibles that made up for his lack of pure talent as a passer. Palmer is a whiner who quit despite having a loaded offense almost every year and after he left we had 6 straight seasons of top 10 defenses.
Palmer quit on the team. Personally i would take 1982 and 1987 with Anderson and Esiason.
