Inside NBA Superstar Jayson Tatum’s Visit With Ravens | Baltimore Ravens Final Drive
Today at the Under Armour Performance Center, the Ravens had a special guest watching practice. In fact, it was one of the best basketball players on the planet. Yes, Boston Celtics superstar forward Jason Tatum made the trip to Baltimore today, and the players and coaches couldn’t have been more excited to see him. Now, look, it’s Steelers week. The Ravens have been locked in as they get ready for a massive AFC North showdown on Sunday. But even in the middle of a rivalry week, the team still took a few minutes to welcome one of the NBA’s elite. Tatum is a sixtime NBA All-Star and NBA All-Star game MVP, fourtime AllNBA first team selection, a twotime Olympic gold medalist, and of course an NBA champion. With his resume, there aren’t many bigger names in today’s game. And while the Celtics are on the road tonight against the Washington Wizards, Tatum is still rehabbing that Achilles injury, which opened the door for a quick trip north to check out the Ravens. This whole connection actually started back in the spring after Tatum suffered that Achilles tear during the Eastern Conference semifinals. Lamar Jackson reached out gifting Tatum a signed Ravens jersey with the message, “Wishing you 100% recovery, champ.” Tatum posted it on Instagram with a simple caption, “Love.” And today, the two MVPs got to catch up in person. At practice, Tatum spent some time catching up with Lamar, talking with head coach John Harbaugh, and taking photos with players all across the roster. He chatted with Kyle Hamilton, Kyle Vanoi, DeAndre Hopkins, Marlon Humphrey, and plenty of others. Harbaugh even gave him a goodnatured recruiting pitch, saying Tatum would make a great tight end, but Jason quickly shot that down, joking, “It’s way too cold out here for all of that.” Kyle Hamilton even pitched some recruiting of his own, saying if the Celtics happen to have a 10-day contract available, he’d gladly play some defense for them. I mean, it’s pretty cool just to, you know, have other athletes come in. He was talking about how much he just uh respects us and what we do. And um I think I made a joke about how everybody out here is crazy just to be doing what we’re doing. He was 100% agree with it. And um you know, it’s a grind. They have a grind. We have a grind. different grinds, but you know, it’s mutual mutual respect. At the end of the day, I had to work on my shot a little bit if they did give me that 10day, but got to focus on football tonight. And the players weren’t the only ones excited. Defensive coordinator Zack Ore summed up the whole building’s reaction when he saw Tatum out at practice. And I didn’t get a chance to talk to him. I seen him. A lot of the guys went up and talked to him and welcomed. Um, I mean, so he’s a remarkable player. I’m definitely an NBA fan. He’s one of the best in the league. Um, wish him good health. Uh, but it was neat to see him come out here, man. He’s he’s big like a monster out there, man. So, uh it was good to see one of one of the best players um in the NBA come check out practice. For a team preparing for one of its biggest games of the year, the visit brought some energy, some fun, and a reminder that stars respect stars, whether it’s hardwood or hash marks. That’s it for today. Thanks for watching, and I’ll see you again tomorrow. [Music]

Most unexpected collab of all time
K Ham's long & pretty quick at ๐, but ๐ is different. 95% of DBs can't even look back while sprinting, so hoops training would help 'em keep ๐ on both man & ball.
So Lamar WAS there, on site. I thought he was home.
