this is a conversation about the 2nd-best, because Deion is the greatest 1-yr rental in NFL history.
I would have said randy moss or Emmanuel sanders if we had won the superbowl those years 😕
Good year!!!
The pic nailed it. But who’s the 2nd best?
Chris Borland, just for the memories. He paid back most of his rookie contract.
It’s obviously Deion.
If I remember correctly, Deion’s contract that year was $250k with a $750K bonus if SF won the SB.
That was wild to me at the time. But looking back, it’s still wild, but differently.
49ers legend Chase Young. Just kidding it’s 100% Deion. That year was so damn amazing.
Deion came in and won defensive player of the year with basically no training camp, and helped them win a SB. Theres literally no discussion, since having Deion, Jerry, Steve and Mike Shanahan on the same team was the football equivalent to KD on the Warriors…
The real discussion to be had is why this team ever allowed Mike Shanahan and Deion Sanders to ever leave the building…
Not Chase Young.
I was at Deion’s home debut. He got Jim Everett in the 4th Q for a 74 yard pick-6. Except for perhaps The Catch II, I never heard the ‘Stick any louder than on that play.
It’s Sanders….no the other Sanders….Yep the Sanders that we went to the Super Bowl with.
