The owner isn’t going anywhere. The Canucks valuation has ballooned far beyond any Vancouver based wealth. You’d need a group to buy the out and that’s IF they even want to sell.
I want new ownership like everyone else, but not holding the players and coaching staff more accountable for a last place standing is pretty ignorant.
I think there has been a drastic drop off in coaching quality between Tocchet and Foote.
Passing on Malhotra was a critical off-season mistake. Reward those who perform well and let them grow within an organization. Helps create a culture of high performance.
Stop going to games and stop watching
I stopped watching hockey a few years ago. Stopped going to games, buying merchandise, etc.
I will not give a dime of my money to this franchise until the Aquillinis sell the team or die.

The fan base simultaneously blames Aquilini for not tanking, and for being in last place.
I’m not a fan of the guy, but it can only be one or the other.
Heading into the season with a rookie head coach with virtually zero prior head coaching experience was certainly a massive gamble, especially considering how much was on the line.
Foote’s in way over his head, he was likely selected to appease Hughes, and Hughes is no longer appeased. They probably should’ve changed coaches weeks ago (which isn’t really fair to Foote but he also probably never should’ve had the job to begin with).
Outside of a couple years ago when every decision seemed to go right for the most part, management has been making poor decisions ever since.
Ownership has obviously been a huge issue since Aqua started fighting with Gillis. When Aqua left the decisions in the hands of Gillis and Gilman, things went extremely well.

Ownership has been a problem for a very long time and until that changes nothing will change with this team. Doesn’t matter who you trade for, sign, draft or what coaches you have.
