“Joe Burrow proves Lamar Jackson is a FAKE” – Chris Canty excited Bengals 32-14 win over Ravens

until the all the toys are off the floor, the video games are cleaned up, I have opened bottles all over the place downstairs, water, drinks, whatever it is. No, no, no. Clean up, then you get dessert. I don’t care if you’re someone else’s kid. My rules, and we did that. We accomplished that. So, we did a good job with that yesterday. Um, are you happy today football-wise? I’m just very curious about this because you were all in on the Bengals success with Joe Burrow. Unfortunately for you, they beat one of your former teams in this in the Baltimore Ravens. But I feel like CeCe, you’re probably pretty pleased with your take that Cincinnati has a shot here to pull off a big run because they looked excellent last night offensively with Joe Burrow at the helm. Well, let me say this. I I’m rooting for us first and foremost. And I’m happy that in the pick them challenge, we were two for three yesterday. The only one we missed was the Packers Lions game. Yeah, I should have. It’s my fault because I picked Detroit 2120, which would have been the win spread-wise for the Packers. Yeah, right. I got the game wrong, but the spread would have been going in our favor. Should have just picked the right team to win that game. Yeah, I should have. I got every game wrong yesterday. I thought the Ravens would win. I thought the Chiefs would win, and I thought the Lions would win. So, I had a great day yesterday, let me tell you. But, as a show, we were two for three, which is which is a good start to our football weekend. Yeah. Now, we’ll see what ends up happening. But here’s the thing. Joe Burrow. It was about what I expected to see from him. That was a kitchen sink game. There was a sense of urgency that you just can’t manufacture. You either have it or you don’t. And the playoffs started for the Bengals Thanksgiving night. And that defense stepped up. They gave Joe Burrow a lot of opportunities, a lot of time to shake off the rust. And he did that by and large in that first half. And in the second half was more in line with what we expect for Joe Burrow this time of year. The guy lit it up. I mean, he was throwing dimes all over the place. The touchdown throw to Yoshvas, absolute dime. The throw that he had to Tanner Hudson in the in the corner of the end zone, dime. This guy can make it happen. I mean, he puts it right on his receivers. He probably would have had another touchdown had Mitchell Tinsley not stop running on that go ball. So, yeah, Joe Burrow was absolutely phenomenal. But I think the thing that surprised me the most was how great that Cincinnati Bengals defense was. Last night was the first time they held an opponent to 10 points or less all year long. They had five takeaways, three of them in the first half. The Cincinnati Bengals offense had three short field possessions in the first half. And maybe the biggest play of that game last night was Jordan Battle forcing that fumble on Isaiah likely in the second quarter when he’s going in to score a touchdown. Brutal. Instead of a 146 game in Baltimore’s favor, it ends up being a 97 game in Cincy’s favor after the subsequent possession. That’s a double-digit point swing. That’s huge. And again, if the Ravens punch in that touchdown, the complexion of that game is completely different. But again, that’s another big play for that Cincinnati Bengals defense. And they’ve been doing that the last couple of weeks. This defense is finally starting to find its footing. you know, Al Golden being able to figure out what his personnel can and can’t do and putting those guys in position to do things to give them a chance to be successful. And you saw that last night. Smalls uh Burrow 24 of 46, 261, two touchdowns. Lamar 17 to 32, 246, an interception, had three turnovers in the game. Last night told you more about the Bengals or the Ravens. I think it told me more about the Baltimore Ravens because we know what a healthy Joe Burrow can do. We saw this at the end of last season when he is healthy and and that first half, like you said, he was he was finding his footing a little bit. That offense was getting into the rhythm. Once you saw that click, you’re like, “This is what I expect of him. This is what I know Joe Burrow can do. And this is how scary I know the Cincinnati Bengals can be when he is performing up to this level.” But Lamar clearly does not look like the two-time MVP that we know Lamar Jackson to be. And this division is really fascinating because I think collectively on this show, we don’t necessarily believe in the Pittsburgh Steelers. After starting one and five, the Ravens started to come alive. But we had been saying Lamar doesn’t look like Lamar, and that could be problematic. And now all of a sudden, you have the Bengals with a healthy Joe Burrow getting some confidence. And you said it yesterday, this is a team that could cause some problems and could go on a run. It’s wild to think that a team that was three and eight has a shot at the division. And I think it is such an unbelievable indictment on the two teams ahead of them. Like, give Cincinnati credit. All right, they’re staying alive. Like I I probably would have been tentative to bring Joe Burrow back. CeCe was right. Like as long as it’s there, why not do it, which it’s there right now, but that’s the disappointing thing that it’s there. Like what are you doing if you’re Baltimore and Pittsburgh allowing this to kind of be really more Pittsburgh, but now Baltimore to be a race and Lamar Jackson last night was asked after the game if he’s still hampered by the injuries. Are all those compilation of injuries affecting you out there and affecting the throws? No, I just got to be more consistent. I got to make those throws. I don’t miss him in practice, so I shouldn’t be missing him in the game. I mean, accountable, right? I mean, obviously, so he’s taking accountability there. But the turnovers backed up can’t happen if Lamar ball security in the pocket first. I mean, which one? Well, the one I’m saying the one that the one right before halftime where that was insane. That was crazy. I I still don’t So, for those who I I I’m going to do my best to describe this. He has the ball inside his own 5 yardd line. He’s getting tackled. We’re showing this on ESPN, too. and he’s like trying to switch hands almost and the ball it just pops up right into a defender’s hand. Now Cincinnati at first the goal from the 2-yd line it didn’t score a point or or actually produce a yard in that spot. So they got lucky that was still that was still a telltale sign of the game. Yeah, it was it it was an indicator and Lamar knows he can’t turn the ball over backed up like that. He’s got to be better in those situations. I I I clearly think something’s wrong with Lamar. Yes, I agree with you. He he can’t run away from defenders. the hamstring, the toe, he’s compromised. He He’s compromised. And if he can’t be dynamic, if he can’t be that elite level athlete out there, then I think it does do something in terms of affecting his confidence, affecting his psyche. We saw something from Lamar Jackson that we haven’t seen in years, and that’s a three turnover game. The last time Lamar Jackson turned the ball over three times or more, you got to go back to week 12 of 2021. O that’s that’s four years ago, man. Is he doing his team a disservice? Well, have you looked at the numbers for Lamar? He’s in arguably the worst statistical stretch of his career right now. Third straight game without a touchdown pass. Longest drought of his eight-year career in the NFL. He’s been held to under 60% completion rate in four straight games for the first time. He is not productive in the way that he needs to be. No, he’s clearly compromised. Something’s going on with him. And he’s one of the most accurate passers of this generation. Yet last night he was offtarget on 30% of his throws. 30% of his throws. Wow. Think about that. The league average is half of that. And Lamar Jackson is one of the most accurate passers when he’s right in the game. There is something wrong with him. Now, is he doing the Ravens a disservice? No. Cuz the Baltimore Ravens ain’t got no chance at being able to win that division and get to the playoffs unless number eight is under center. saw that this year. Yeah, they they ain’t got no shot. Are they doing him a disservice? Are they not running their offense? Todd Monk, their offensive coordinator, cuz I agree with you. Lamar’s playing. He’s playing. Yeah, exactly. But are they doing him a disservice by not finding ways to alter the offense to make it a Derk Henry base? They’re doing him a disservice because they don’t have an offensive line in place that allows them to do what they want to do. They don’t have the offensive line to be able to run the football like they could a couple of years ago. They don’t have the offensive line to protect Lamar like they should when he’s dropping back the pass. Th this is on the front office as much as it is anybody on the coaching staff uh or any of the players on the field. They they they just don’t have the guys. And you saw last night that Bengals front was able to disrupt them. They were able to make Lamar uncomfortable. He wasn’t able to get away from him. They were able to create some takeaways, create some short fields, and their offense eventually capitalized on it. Yeah, this is an issue for the Baltimore Ravens and and it feels like right now the division is going to come down to what happens between the Cincinnati Bengals and the remaining what five games on their schedule and the Pittsburgh Steelers in the six games that they got on deck. I mean, this game that Pittsburgh has with Buffalo is a huge football game now. Yeah. I mean, absolutely huge. Cuz right now the Cincinnati Bengals need the Baltimore Ravens to lose two more games and they need the Pittsburgh Steelers to lose three more games. Now Cincinnati is done playing Pittsburgh, but Cincinnati does have another game with Baltimore two weeks from now. So think about it. I need the Baltimore Ravens to lose two more games and I control it because I play them one more time cuz Cincinnati, they’ve got to win out to get to nine and eight. Mhm. But they also need some help from the other two teams they’re looking up at in the division. And that’s why they need those other teams to lose. But is it it is entirely on the board for Baltimore to lose two more and for the Pittsburgh Steelers

  2. Can't listen to ANY of these EXPERTS.
    The Ravens AIN'T 💩.
The Bengals will find a way to screw up.
The Ravens offense is no Juggernaut.
There is no favourite in the AFC.
These CLOWNS get all hyped about a LOUSY defense against a LOUSY offense.
Stop making IDIOTS out of yourself.

  3. They haven’t scored 30 points since Lamar has been back but the media will fail to mention that they scored 30 WITHOUT LAMAR against the bears… so maybe they need to bench Lamar and put Huntley back in 😂. Y’all gon keep using the injury as an excuse? If dak, josh or Herbert played like that, they wouldn’t get this many excuses though. ESPECIALLY DAK
