Here you got Joe Burrow returning back to action for the Cincinnati Bengals for the first time in 69 days since he had surgery. But, man, this is going to be a really, really good football game, I think, tonight in Baltimore. You got two teams, the Bengals right now, not very good so far this season. But Joe Burrow has not been in action since week two and he’s finally back. Yeah, a lot of people aren’t the biggest fans right now of bringing Joe Burrow this back this late in the season here. But look, man, uh it’s an AFC North matchup. I want to go out there and whip the Baltimore Ravens ass. Um they’re not that good on defense either. They’re about middle of the pack right now. This offense has kind of been up and down with the um with the Lamar Jackson injuries over the past couple weeks here. Really since week four, Lamar Jackson’s kind of been banged up here. So, we’ll see what happens, man. But, man, I uh I definitely want to get a win tonight. Uh Joe, like I said, Joe Burrow is back. So, we got the new Joe Burrow shirt rolling with that tonight. I know it’s been a very controversial take in my family. My mom always wants to put it in the oven, but I’m like, “Mom, you put the Kings Hawaiian in the oven, it kind of, you know, it bakes it a little bit more. It kind of gets a little bit crunchy to it. I want that Kings Hawaiian roll super soft, be able to cut it in half, put the turkey in there, put a little mashed potatoes, some turkey gravy in there, man. Yeah. in the sandwich. I was like making like the turkey, one or two other even the green bean casserole. Throw just a little bit on a little green bean casserole in it. It’s great, man. Man, let’s see. Today, they have elevated Gary Brightwell and Jaylen Davis to the active roster for today’s game. Jaylen Davis obviously last week elevated both of those guys last week. And Jaylen Davis really stepped up and had a really, really good game. So hopefully we can see that from him again today. Uh, Dejon Anthony, by the way, he has been on injured reserve for a very long time since, yeah, sometime late August. I think that date was like August 26th or something like that. Um, so that might be some help that the Bengals have at that safety position. We’ll see if he actually plays on defense, uh, or if he’s mainly going to be a special teams guy for the Bengals today. And the man of the hour, Joe Breezy, Joe Burr, Joe Cool, the man, the myth, the legend. Joe Burrow was officially activated to the Bengals 53man roster yesterday. So, we will see him today. By the way, also Marco Wilson, he ended up getting that hamstring injury. He had been, you know, nursing that hamstring for a very long time. Uh, was finally able to get back out onto the field. And then the very first game that he ends up playing hurts that hamstring again and ends up going to IR. So we’ll miss him over the next four weeks here. The Bengals inactives for today’s game. Taj Brooks going to be out with that concussion. Same with T. Higgins as well. Um just not enough to um you know get him not enough time to get him back for this game today. So T. Higgins is not going to play. But the Bengals do get uh Jamar Chase back for this game coming off that suspension. So uh that’s a good thing there. Trey Hendrickson still out with that hip injury. So he’s going to be active today. Germaine Burton um he actually, you know, is not a healthy scratch today. He is just uh simply, you know, which you know, he’s got an ankle injury. So that tells me that the Bengals uh you know, he was kind of practicing hard there. So, um, so, uh, you know, he he actually hasn’t, um, you know, he he’s been a healthy scratch most of the season there. So, um, at least he’s been practicing, I guess, out with that ankle injury today. And then Cam Sample, um, out with an oblique injury for this game today. So, you’re not going to see him. And you’re also not going to see Cam Grandandy either. Just don’t go with that L3, Billy. Um, so you’re not going to see Cam Grandandy either there. By the way, Jake Browning is your emergency third quarterback. So, uh, knock on wood, if anything happens to Joe Burrow today. Um, you are going to see you’re going to see Joe Flacco as that second string quarterback today. And then, like I said, Jake Browning is the emergency third quarterback. And when it comes to the Ravens, uh, look, they don’t have really a ton of notable injuries to talk about here, but the one guy, uh, that really matters here is Lamar Jackson, and he has been banged up a lot so far this season. Weeks uh, four through nine, he ended up missing with a hamstring injury. Uh, week 11, and it’s been a lot of different things, and it’s really been limiting his mobility a lot over the past couple of weeks here. Week 11, he was dealing with a knee injury. Uh week 12, he was dealing with an ankle injury. And then now this week, he was dealing with a toe injury. So, um you know, he was a he was a DNP on Monday, but the next two days he was uh full in terms of the uh practice report there. So, it’s kind of been the thing there for Lamar Jackson over the past couple of weeks. DNP on Monday and then been full practicing over the next couple of days. And uh you know, I asked our guy Joey Peterson, the host of Ravens Rundown. Uh what’s been the deal here with Lamar Jackson over the past couple of weeks, and quote, this is a straightup quote from our guy Joey Peterson. He said, “Mamar Jackson has just been a shell of himself over the past couple of weeks here.” And when you look at his stats, I mean, it’s true. He’s only rushed the ball for 71 yards over the past four games. And you know, you look at those passing yards, it’s still uh very much so not what Lamar Jackson normally does here. But look, um it has not stopped the Ravens from winning football games here. The last five games for the Ravens, they have won all of them the last five games. You know, the Bears are kind of an up and down team this year. You know, uh sometimes they look really, really good. Sometimes they look kind of mediocre there. Uh but they ended up winning that game. They beat the Dolphins. They beat the Vikings. uh they beat the Browns and then this past week they ended up beating the Jets as well. So, you know, there there has been a lot of injury concerns for Lamar Jackson. It’s really been affecting his ability to run the football. But you see right here, the Ravens are still winning football games. So, we’ll see how much that injury comes into effect for this game tonight. I want to know from you guys down inside the chat. And I’ve also seen a lot of Bengals fans out there also saying, look, you are paying him a ton of money right now. If he’s healthy, he needs to go out there and play. You still have two games against the Ravens. So, um, look, at this point in the season, I get it. I I totally understand where Bengals fans are coming from if they don’t want Joe Burrow to necessarily come back and play. I thought last week uh the offensive line actually played pretty well. Uh you know, they whether it was the run game or whether it was in pass protection, I thought they, you know, did a really really good job and that’s going to be something that is definitely going to be a key point of emphasis with Joe Burrow returning tonight. Um, you know, I think maybe Daltton Risner sliding back in there to that right guard spot did help them out a little bit there. Um, you know, maybe it was, um, you know, I don’t know. I thought Jaylen Rivers has done okay when he’s been in there. But, uh, this is pretty much the starting lineup from the first game of the season when you were actually doing a really, really good job on those first two drives. And like I said, you got to have those guys really be able to protect Joe Burrow. But it also helps out guys like Chase Brown. Over the past what, five weeks now, Chase Brown has put up at least 100 total yards in every single game. That’s rushing and receiving yards combined. Even in that Bears game, he had 75 yards receiving. Um, so, you know, wasn’t necessarily able to do a lot of stuff on the ground. Uh, but this offensive line has gotten a whole lot better. You can see that Patriots game had over a 100red rushing yards against the number one rushing defense. And when you look at this Baltimore Ravens defense so far this year, they’re not as good as they have been in years past. Right now, their scoring uh you know, their scoring defense 19th right now in the NFL, giving up 23 points per game. Rushing is 20th in the NFL, over 100 yards per game rushing uh you know, the ball against them. And then they’re passing. Look, you know, Joe Brow is back. I’m sure they’re going to throw the ball a lot in this game, but I think they also need to be able to run the ball a lot in this game as well. So, we’ll see if that offensive line can just continue that good play like over the past two weeks especially. They’ve done a really good job at that.
