to say it’s a high stick. It did look like it was over the bar. So it looks like Vegas now
will have a goal that’s allowed. Well, it was initially waved off. I did not see from my angle.

two. Eel had some trouble with allowing the Devils to get back. Bowman centers to Barbash and a big
save by Mark. What a pass. Now the Devils will try to counter. Here’s Dylan Taheshir. Tried to

to be saved by Schmid. Think they want to just get a little more consistent shift after shift and
start maybe taking it to Vegas a little bit more. Michael shot saved by Marstrom. A lot forces him
into the corner. Centering pass to Barbashev. He can’t control it when he gets it. Leaves it for
Hannipan. Setting up a shot by Theodore that goes wide. Bouncing puck played by Eel. Under 20 to
go. Ekeel. High slot. Leaves back for Theodore. Slings a shot and scores. A killer. So late in the
period. Shay Theodore makes it one nothing Vegas. That’s Jack Eel making something out of nothing
off that rush and ozone possession time. Dan, this is been kind of hanging on a little bit. And
there’s the play up top. Watch this little Yeah. move to the middle by slides it over to Hannah or
Theodore, excuse me. Does his this hit anything? And oh boy, Marstrom just doesn’t squeeze that
right arm. He’s been terrific in this first period, but up front. They can roll four lines,
but you got to match that intensity. White Cloud Hannipan shot. Chested down by Marstrom. But we
talked about you cannot fall behind in this one too much because it’s hard to come back. Heir to
Meyer back to Heir and a save by Schmidt. That’s the pace you want to see the Devils play at.
Here’s the chance we talked about. A shift to go. Nice backhand pass back to Heir and they’ve
had a little bad luck trying to find the back of the net. They get an outnumbered
situation, but Schmidz shuts the door and they got to bury one of those. There’s an Alice
pass. Bowman collects. Big time save by Marstrom. He came from the bench. We’ve got some good
goalending against them as well. That’s a good save by Schmid, but Marstrom answers the
challenges. Nemits on his horse finds Hishir. Heir at the circle slings a shot that’s gloved
by Schmid and he holds it. Head of steam flying down the near side. Cross ice pass played off
the wall by Connor Brown. Hamilton Gritsuk pass between the circles and a blast by Glass and it’s
glove by Schmid. Brings it in to the circle on his backhand. Rings it around the wall. Gritsuk back
onto his forehand. Centering pass goes to Mercer with a backhand and a save by Schmid. Period.
Devils have had their opportunities. Schmid’s been good. Howden for Stone. Stone back to White Cloud
with a shot and a save through traffic. A great guy now goender coach of the Vegas Golden Knights.
He’s your shot. Deflected in front off a leg and another save by Schmid. That can disrupt play
as well and maybe open up a lane so they can try to score here. Here’s Hughes. drives towards the
net. Sharp angle shot. Mercer with an opportunity. Aggressive save by Schmid. Manic goal go a long
way just for the confidence of this team. Meer to Heir finds Brett. Save rebound kicked to wide by
Heir. Devil stick with a Hamilton with a bomb and a save by Schmid by the New Jersey lottery.
Remember anything can happen in Jersey and Devils really picking up the pace in the second.
Good neutral zone stopped there by Heir by good positioning. Meer to Hishir to Brad and a real
nice save here. He’s just being checked but tries to go low to the ice. Just wonder when Bryce it
gets in your head a bit. They got those two quick goals against Columbus early on and since then oh
boy just one alone and a save by Marstrom as hops over the net. Came in perfectly at the right time
and puck bounced out of the way. Gorilla back the side and a huge right pad save by Marstrom. This
is going to have to be Markey’s best period of the season because had taken a penalty till now and
it’s a great two minutes for tripping as we saw right there to keep it one- nothing. One more
look at it. Dorothia facade in front. Michael takes a look very deliberate. 50 seconds to go.
Van Channing Hill centering pass the hurdle and a huge save by Mark. Rebound kicks to the near
wall. Eichel Mner fakes the shot. Doraf at the far wall. Devils keeping it on the perimeter. Mner
with a shot. They score and that’s a killer power play goal to make it two nothing. You don’t
capitalize on your power plays. They get one, they capitalize. I don’t know how this shot just
a seeing eye shot but nothing fancy. Mner lets it go. I think he’s screened built for tough
play of the game presented by your local Ford dealers. This is a killer for New Jersey. Was it
tipped up high? Yeah, Hurdle got it between the circles. Yeah, that is a good tip. That’s that’s
what they do. Simplistic but the execution there. He just gets a piece of it. He drops that puck
down. What a what a tip. Still possessing the puck. Theodore Eel. Under a minute to go on the
power play. Minute and a half to go in the game. Eel backs up to the blue line. Slings a shot,
scores. Oh wow. So another power play goal for Vegas. Two for two tonight. And now it’s three
nothing. For me that’s I mean I could shoot and that’s a wister. But when everything’s going your
way like it was when the Devils fourth consecutive loss. A complete empty four-ame home stand for
New Jersey as the clock is going to zero out and the Devils will hit the road tonight. Go to
Boston trying to snap a four-game losing streak.
