*NEW* Major Bruins Updates Revealed… Multiple Exciting Bruins Reports | Boston Bruins News
New Boston Bruins updates have been revealed as Charlie Makavoy has spoken out for the first time since his injury and we now know an estimated date of return. We’re going to be breaking it down as well as going over multiple exciting updates from this Bruins team, especially what we saw in last night’s win against the St. Louis Blues. We’re going to be touching on all of this here in this video. Before we do jump into it though, ladies and gentlemen, I ask you one favor. for us to hit the sub. Button if you want to stay up todate with everything Boston Bruins. We’re going to be having updates every single day here. And with trade market continuing to heat up and news and stuff just like this coming out with the Boston Bruins, you will not want to miss it. I’m going to have it all right here on the channel. Your guys supports been absolutely incredible as of late. I appreciate all of you guys watching these videos day in and day out. But we need to jump into what we have here from Charlie Makavoy because he had quite this talk after today’s practice. Of course, he did return back to practice yesterday in a no contact jersey with the bubble on. But we now get a lot more information as to what his injury entailed, an estimated date of return, people that have been helping him along the way, and a lot of very important stuff all like that. So, starting it out here from Charlie Makavoy, this is what the injury was. Just a linear fracture right here all the way down and some displacement. I lost a lot of teeth on the bottom. Soups have been my go-to early on. A lot of milkshakes and ice cream. Now, few jokes there from Charlie Makavoy, which is always good to see. Good to see that he’s in light spirits. And we’ve seen that from what the team has been talking about, how they’ve kind of described his attitude in the locker room since returning. But going from right here and in the uh the video of his press conference and his questions in the locker room, you can really see the face kind of, you know, lag behind a little bit. It does seem still quite a bit swollen. Still looks a bit funny, although there is no fun in that whatsoever. But it is good to see him be able to talk and he sounds normal, you know, feels like it’s getting normal. still says he can feel a little bit of pain sometimes and it’s a really weird pain. But of course, a puck to the jaw is not going to be a light feat. So, luckily seems good. He’s healing up a lot quicker than is expected what our reports uh what reports are saying and good to see him at that. And with this as well, Charlie Makavoy was in a no contact jersey once again. But from November 15th is the date that I want you to remember because what we have and what kind of timeline comes with this is that it is going to be 6 weeks until he can eat solid food. Now you’re probably wondering why does that matter? Why does eating matter? And this is the reason. Charlie Makavoy said that he knew he was in some trouble right away after taking that slap shot in the face. But with that, he lost 20 pounds after the fracture, that surgically repaired fracture, cuz he wasn’t able to eat. He had to only drink and, you know, kind of go off milkshakes, anything light, milkshakes, smoothies, groundup food. We’re going to jump into a funny quote here in a moment, but he was told it would be 6 weeks from the date of repairs before he’ll be back to solid food. So, it was around November 15th that the uh surgery was. I believe it was the day or two after that. So we kind of get a date around the new year of a time that he can start to eat solid food. So this is the reason as to why Charlie Makavoy was not back as of just yet. You know, we spoke about when the injury did occur that it could be an opportunity that he does return soon with a bubble even with the surgery. But the fact that he dropped 20 lbs makes a lot more sense now as to why he has not been back in game action. You’re going to need to put that back on. you know, that’s going to be a bit of muscle as well. Any clenching with the jaw was just not possible for him. So, you know, he was taking it light. So, it’s interesting to see where the Bruins and Charlie Makavoy go from here. And not so much the Bruins themselves, but their uh, you know, food staff, their uh, medical staff, seeing where everything goes, their fitness staff, how they tackle this and try and get that weight put back on. And it’s also going to be interesting to see if Charlie Makavoy wants to put that weight back on or if he’s trying to go a little bit lighter. That will also be curious to see how his game may change with that. But that is something that we’re going to have to wait and see on with how we, you know, kind of tackle that, how Charlie Mackoy tackles that. And we won’t be able to tell just yet. That will be much closer to the day that he is starting to able uh be able to eat solid food. So that’s, you know, an interesting thing to kind of take a look at. Now, there are a few more things as Charlie Makavoy said, and this is one thing that I really wanted you guys to listen to and hear this because this really puts into perspective how this Bruins team feels a bit different this year. My family, these guys, the support, the staff, and everybody from the top down, in our corner, and in my corner. It it just means the world to me. It allows me to focus on the things I need to focus on and know there is so much love and support for us in this building. So once again, awesome to see Charlie Makavoy in good spirits here because he’s definitely going to need it and especially with the way this defense has really been looking, how it’s kind of performed. It’s been interesting to see some good game from Victor Sodrom last night. We’re going to touch on that here in just a bit. But they want to see him back and Marco Sturm in specific also says he wants to see him back. And Marco Sturm had a comment on this as well, which we’re going to jump into here in a minute. But Charlie Makavoy saying, “Obviously blending up solid foods, it’s not enjoyable. I tried chicken and vegetables. It’s terrible. So, if any of you guys were thinking about trying it, Charlie Makavoy recommends to not do so. But like I said with uh you know, all jokes aside, like what I said with Marco Sturm coming out with this. He said he’s great. Marco Sturm was emphasizing the fact that the team will not rush Makavoy back, but he says, “I can’t say it enough. He’s such a big leader for our team on and off the ice. We miss him every day. Just have him around. It puts everyone a smile on their face, including us coaches. He’s one of the best defenseman in the league, I think. And to see uh to see him hurt like that, it hurts all of us. That’s why we can’t wait to have him back. And the struggles were evident during uh his absence for the most part with the Bruins throughout this early part of his injury, but now having him back around, you’ve seen the spirits lifted from this team, and that’s obviously something that we’ve all wanted to see and something that this team is happy to see and have him, you know, back in here. Now, before we do move on as well, just taking a look at the schedule, we can kind of get an idea of when approximately we would see Charlie Makavoy potentially back. And I would say it would probably be mid January. And we know February for the most of the month it is the Olympics. So, you’re not going to see much Bruins action there. I believe it’s only three or four games, one of which being a stadium series. But looking at January, when he does continue to start eating and hopefully he has a nice little feast over the holidays, he’ll be back sometime around then. Hopefully then that jaw will be fine, starting to eat solid food again. And that’s when you’re going to really start to see what the plan is going to be with him, the training staff, and how that weight is going to be uh, you know, not just put back on, but how they’re going to tackle that from there. So, let me know what you think about these Charlie Makavoy updates here in the comments below. Oh, but we do have a few more ones before we finish this off. And there’s a few people I want to give a massive shout out to. And one being Alex Steves, another goal last night. He has been a guy that has been a rock star since being recalled from the Providence Bruins and has really shown his possibility and his skill in the NHL. He’s someone that certainly can stay at this level even when he’s here for a few injuries. With eight points in 13 games played, six of which being goals here so far in this season, he’s been doing fantastic. And I think the Bruins are giving him an ample opportunity and he has certainly seized that. And last night was another prime example of that against a St. Louis Blues team that was not overly uh the greatest here. But going on with that as well, you see what we’ve seen from Young Scorpal. Another guy I want to give a shout out to last night because he really needed that game. You see there from November 13th, 19th, and 28th, he has struggled immensely in all of these games. some nice saves, some very clutch saves, but ultimately could not get the deciding win there. But last night was one that he needed to bounce back for. It’s been conversation about if a goalie change could happen. But with this and if we see Yos Corp Mosal capable of playing games like this, that’s where I really see all of this uh you kind of staying and how all of that def kind of goending situation decisions will go because Jon Corposal has the experience. We know he can be good. is just needing him to actually do that. And of course, the team is injured, so I don’t want to put the full blame on him. Now, one more guy I want to give a shout out to uh to last night in his NHL debut with the Bruins was Victor Sodestrom. Another uh you know, pretty solid performance in the middle of the pack here. But as you see on the advanced analytics, and I’m sure that the advanced analytics team for the Bruins are going to love to see this. No negatives for him. and not seeing him too much on the ice and not seeing too many reports from him on Twitter is obviously a good thing and especially when you’re watching him on the ice noticing him but not it’s kind of a weird way to describe it but that is a very good thing in today’s NHL and in a game where he I believe got that first assist for the Bruins I think they counted it good for him obviously great to see and he’s going to be a guy that is going to be very important with the absence of Charlie Makavoy at least until January so over this month we’re going to giving him a great opportunity here. So, ladies and gentlemen, let me know what you think about all of today’s news for the Boston Bruins. Obviously, good to see Charlie Makavoy back talking with the team, kind of all of that. But, it still will be a little while until we do see him. Hopefully, it will be earlier than maybe a December or January, like a late December, January, but with that kind of not being able to eat solid foods for 6 weeks from November 15th, may be a tough ass from him there. But hopefully that is a possibility. So, ladies and gentlemen, like I said, if you let me know in the comments below what you think about all of this, that would be very much greatly appreciated. But I appreciate all of you guys watching this video, and if you did enjoy it, give it a like. Hit the sub button as well. I’m signing out, though. Thank you for watching. Hope you have a great day. See you later.

20 lbs is bad. That’s likely 20 lbs of muscle mass. I would not expect him to return without gaining at least some of that back.
