NHL Highlights | Sharks vs. Stars – December 5, 2025

left. Roe Hint is in between them. The opening faceoff controlled by the Stars. The puck is dropped. We are underway from American Airlines Center. Got it down deep. Ranton it met by Lil Jagrin. Oscar Beck to Kolia Chonuk left point shot. Got through and Ascarov blockered it away. Hustling down after it. Dickinson cut him off. Turned over and the Stars shot save Ascarov and leaked. Labushkin’s bid gave him some trouble, but he got the glove down on it and plucked out by the Stars. They clear. Rantin hops to it. Gets past Orlov. Draws a penalty. Backhand save. Rantin catches up. Delayed call. Orlov slowed him down their own hand off that, you know, puck work in the corner. Sam Steel hangs for a second, uses the glass, understands going to have a linemate busting up. It’s a poor play by the veteran Orlov. And he fouls up Rantin and enough to where and gets some help. Backing from Lisin. You know what to do. Pretty good effort in on Ascarov who has been but they have some really good young talent and a really good young coach. Side of the net and the Stars go hunting for it. Hints against Graph and it’s one by the Stars. 50 seconds left on the CBrini Minor. Ranted it in. Right. Got for Johnston and stopped. Scored on the rebound. Jason Robertson to dunk home the second effort. There’s that Stars power play. There’s the nightly Robertson tally. Possession win the draw. Hence rips it back. And then Wyatt Johnston sets himself up and those quick hands just it’s on the play. Bang, it’s gone. You can see Ascarov’s having all kinds of difficulty with hints right in front even though it’s a rolling puck. Able to drill it off the short side pipe and Jason Robertson was just like a contact. Dickinson for Dandria. Tai Deandria had just a single goal last year in his first goround with San Jose. It came in this building early. Third game of the season, October 15th. He went the rest of the way without one. Good start to this year. Here’s Ben with a backhand saved by Ascar. As somebody who played the position, you certainly have seen your fair share. There’s a shot. Blocker away. Loud enough. They’ll count that one. and sends the puck as a souvenir in the larger number on the hanging board. Dallas with a power play goal Robertson. There’s a redirection on Ascarov. That’s the eighth recorded shot by the Stars. And a pen and then Ecklund down towards the corner. Celibbrini from a tight angle. Save made by Anger. We’re in the closing. He was in the box for two and he was on the bench for 10. high event as the second period is underway and then the return. Mario Ferraro walks it to center. Short hop in oner and he’s forced to hang on to that one. It’s just stars fans here in Dallas’s second opportunity to see Celabbrini. The Sharks were here twice, but he was injured for that first early season meeting. He is worth the price of admission. Shot from Petravic. And that’s a good zone time, but at some point you got to get it to the net. Hayeskin and carves his way in. A backhand round off the back glass. Robertson went down to a knee, got back up. Stars managed to hold the zone. Played in front. Ascarov the save but it’s held in. Cleared around but not out. Ferraro holds. Funnled to the corner. Sharks jump on it. Shot. Save made. Anger on Tai to Landria who had a good look. Two goals this year for Deandria. Now Kurv, he’s back in holding up. Looking for help off the bench. Finds in Lenny in a shot. Stopped. Score on the doorstep was Graph and the Sharks have tied up the game. The equalizer. Well, they’re able to take the Stars line and you could see Dallas trying to get their change in it. It hits the humanity in front and mystifies everybody in green. Nobody can find it. The only guy that had his pupils on it was Graph. He spins the right way. Maverick Bourke was right there, but didn’t engage. Didn’t tie up. And not exactly of the wild variety though halfway through it. Celibbrini. This pass save made by Anger. Sits down after he gets planted. Tried to move it from there. It slid under his body, hopped over Kolon. Here’s Will Smith with a step. He’s in. And Kohonuk got back and with the reach. Stopped by Rantin. Centers Keo. Bienko. Gets a shot away. Is being hit. Save. Ascarov. Falling down. Steel. Gets up. Flips off for Leookin. Both guys out of the box. Ilia Labouchkin. Wrist shot. And it’s saved by Ascarov after Jason Robertson through center ice in left side with a shot. And the save made by Ascarov against his former teammate. Aandria wins the draw. Clingberg. His shot punched along by Anger. Up. They sit third in third period scoring. And the Sharks dead last. It’s better than a 2:1 ratio. When your best guys don’t kill, they have lots of energy. Here’s a shot kicked out by Anger. Rebound. Lety. Saved by Anger. Graph wanted a second look. Come awfully close back to back right after back-to back power play opportunities. Just feels like they, you know, they have the belief now that they can win a game in this building. Maxwell steps out for position. A shove on Lety. The puck was almost going to get through. Now it does. Blackwell behind the net. Centering and deep in his crease. Ascar who was forced wide. Dallas collapsing low. They get the puck. Ranton it up high. Petravic with a shot. Hit body. Steel. Curls. Backhand save by rebound. Score in the net. Sam Steel had the chance. And that puck pinalled around until it found its way in. Rantin comes in there and support the original shot trying to deflect it. He actually traps it and then as he just bull rushes little, he chunks it through Ascarov who could never quite pounce on it. He actually creates a hole in himself trying to gather it in. And he’s such a determined player. Crossing the line still with it. Blackwell and off of his stick and swept along by Asper. Skinner checked and ranted in lays it ahead. It’s steel looking to see what help he has. Holds up. Leaves it for Kolia. Chonuk delivered down low. Rantin away from Dandria. Shot. He scores. Mo ranted in late insurance and Dallas doubles their lead. So KG, he just schools Deandria down low. He knows the pressure’s coming. Skates away from him. He gets all fouled up. Curls out in front on his forehand. Look at this power move. and then rips it cookie jar past that glove hand. That is how you do it kids. Down goes Kurishv gets back up. Hastening up the boards. Safoi top of the zone. Clingberg right side. Celibbrini fires a one-time save made again. Rips it. He scores. Mlin Celibbrini gets San Jose back within a goal. The six on five strike easily stimulated the first one. Jake could see it all the way. He saw nothing of the second challenge. It was determined the play was offside at 244. Chucky and Pat Dolan. Don’t miss Shark side of the ice. Faceoff win by Hints on the near circle. Hasten wants to take a shot at it. He will and score. Miro Hastinan 180 ft exclamation point. Nice subtle little pick set by his partner Essa Lindell. Just forced the forward to skate around. Battling is good and cappo Benko from the slot. Shot blocked. One more opportunity and Anger. Final seconds tick off as it’s kick to Beck and the Stars on the strength of three in the third period pick up a 4-1 win over San Jose.

Jason Robertson buried his 18th goal of the season while Mikko Rantanen had a goal and two assists himself to help power the Dallas Stars past the San Jose Sharks 4-1.

  1. Other teams: Don’t put the Stars on the job. Bad idea. East Coast elitist media: The Dallas Stars are an NHL hockey team. Really. Look it up. You may notice that they routinely torch the Eastern Conference teams you write about.

  2. Amazing they keep winning when half the team has been in the AHL the last two years and you're playing your 7th 8th 9th defensemen. Glen can flat out coach.

  3. At that game. The lineman 36 had his eyes on Mikko the entire night just waiting to call every little penalty on him. The calls were jokes. Soft officiating. I'll remind you this is hockey, not the NBA

  4. Very slow and uninspired from the sharks in this one. Couldn't put any good passes together, the power play was very poor, and they really didn't have much energy at all. Ned needs to get the next game, Askarov has had basically a Vasilevskiy type workload lately.

  5. It’s a very well known fact you never get Mikko mad during games. Absolutely destroys teams every time that has happened today was no exception lol. Also Heiskanen was locking down Celebrini all game. Dude doesn’t get on the score sheet a lot but holy his poise and consistency on both ends is huge. Empty net goal to top it off
