Today is December 6th! The Winter Meetings will be held December 8th to December 11th in Orlando with the MLB Draft Lottery on December 9th and the Rule Five Draft on December 10th.

Kevin Appier, Terry McDaniel, Luis Rosado, Tim Foli, Larry Bowa all celebrate birthdays today. I didn't feel like writing a paragraph on these guys but happy birthday!

The Mets are teaming up with New York Cares for their 19th Annual Coat Drive presented by your local Toyota dealers on Wednesday, December 10, from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the Mets Team Store at Citi Field. Free parking will be available in Lot G. Fans bringing a new or gently used winter coat will receive a voucher redeemable for two (2) tickets to a select Monday – Thursday Mets home game in 2026. Fans will be limited to one (1) ticket voucher. Fans who donate will also receive an exclusive 20% discount at the team store. Some exclusions may apply. Please note that non-winter coats like windbreakers, jean jackets, raincoats or other light jackets will not be accepted. Fans will be limited to one (1) ticket voucher. Free parking for the Coat Drive will be available in Lot G. Lot G can be accessed through Gate 1 on Seaver Way.

  4. It was mind-boggling, but now it is just hilarious how often the fan base flip flops on Ronny Mauricio as a group.

I certainly wouldn’t scoff at Schwarber, his numbers speak for themselves (though it would take a bit of mental reprogramming, feel very Johnny Damon to the Yankees), but I do feel it’s more of a posture towards Alonso’s camp that they aren’t willing to wait til spring training to know who’s playing 1B. Also just a bit of gamesmanship, driving up the price on Philly

  8. I really think they can sign a King or Imai, make a big trade for an SP, and sign a bunch of relievers/whatever other opportunities arise
