I’d LOVE to see him on the Titans. Trade down and get him.

  1. The titans do not need a RB more than all the other premium position man. They need a WR/EDGE/CB desperately. Just break the bank for Breece hall and cut Pollard. They’ll be good enough with him.

  2. There’s no way you’re serious about a first round RB with this team’s many massive issues

  3. There is zero reason to draft a RB high before your team has an established OL or winning record.

There’s also no reason to sign someone to another Pollard-like contract until then.

  4. Truly don’t understand the desire for a first-round running back with the needs we have across the roster and the plug and play talent at RB available in free agency every year.

Anytime you have the opportunity to emulate the Raiders – don’t.

  5. Honestly, when I was watching last night’s Lions-Cowboys game, I was thinking how much better Jared Goff is because of the Lions run game. He wasn’t asked to do a lot because Montgomery and Gibbs did all the heavy lifting. IMO, Goff isn’t really a special passer, but he fits into the system they’ve built in Detroit and manages the game effectively with key completions at the exact right times.

It reminded me of how much better Tannehill was in 2020 (33:7) with a healthy Henry than he was in Henry’s injury-shortened year in 2021 (21:14).

If we had a game-changer at RB, then we wouldn’t have to require Ward to carry the team like he’s been asked to do this year, and he can develop at his own pace rather than expecting him to do everything.

Should we prioritize a WR ahead of a RB? Without question. But could a great RB bring us greater success and establish our team’s identity while giving our young QB some confidence and a lessened work load? Yeah, I genuinely believe that.

  6. If we are trading back, gimme Carnell Tate. Cam needs a receiver, and Tate knows how to find space in a defense

  7. In a trade down scenario I could definitely see him being in play in a BPA scenario. Yes this team has massive needs at premium positions but you can’t always just draft based off of pure need. That’s how you end up with a Latham situation where a guy goes 7th overall and shouldn’t have and ends up not even playing the position you drafted him to play. You have to be fluid in your approach. I’d probably rather have Carnell Tate personally.

This team needs talented difference makers plain and simple and there aren’t many in this draft.

  8. Trade down to get Reese or Ruben Jr. and then trade up to get him in the teens.

As someone who was begging for a modern offense – this team needs to go back to running down peoples throats and grinding them into dust.

You’re either 1 day too early or 1 day too late.

We were few seasons too early while having DH22 and teams were still set up to defend against RBs and then we moved on to a modern offense and teams were set up to defend the modern offense.

That’s why you see guys like Gibbs, Taylor and even DH22 have success because they are playing against undersized pass defend first prototype players

Break the bank for Pickens. A lot of people don’t want a diva that’s fine but find me a WR that’s good that isn’t a diva

  9. In a trade down scenario that sees us with two 1st in 2026, I’d be good with Bain/Reese and Love, then use 2027 1st on Jeremiah Smith. I’d be down

  10. Ah yes, this is how we can win games next season. Do what the Raiders did in the most recent draft with a similarly underpowered oline and receiver room. I’m sure it will work out for us, though.

  11. If we acquired Cleveland/Rams/NY’s other 1st round pick MAYBE you grab him if a receiver they want us available with the second pick. But you also desperately need edge and CB. He is phenomenal and his blocking tape us elite as well, so I would never be upset, but unfortunately this is probably not the draft to do it.

  12. I don’t normally advocate for an early pick to be used at RB, but I’ll go along with you for a moment and throw some support for the idea.

I saw another comment that mentioned not following what the Raiders are doing. The Raiders if I remember correctly only had 1 first round pick and used it on Jeanty.

If the Titans are able to trade back and get an additional first round pick and especially if they get a second round pick, I like them taking Love if he drops to like pick 20 or later. Taking him in the top 10 would be horrible.

The Titans have a lot of holes. CB, WR, and Edge are positions that need high top 100 pick skill and star or starter ability. I believe all three of those positions need to be addressed this upcoming draft in the top 100. O-line will either need to be addressed this offseason in the draft or in 2027 too.

Theoretically the Titans have spent a lot on o-line and the current line has probably only had a handful of games all healthy with each other. The Raiders have a terrible run passing grade and needed to draft o-line last year before they got a RB. Jeanty is getting hit immediately. The problem getting Jeanty is that it sacrificed filling other holes in the roster until the second round. The Titans can maintain their current o-line, add a piece or two for depth in FA, and continue to work on chemistry and depth for next year.

The Titans need to improve the two most important parts of football outside of the trenches while having serviceable lines for at least next year. Passing the ball, and preventing the pass.

I am starting to see a lot of mock drafts with the Titans trading back with the Jets, and Bain being available at that spot. If you see a WR or Edge that you think can be a superstar you get them at that early position.

Depending on who coaches the Titans and what the offense looks like, having a dynamic RB can be a huge piece to take the pressure off Ward and provide an outlet. Spears has been doing a decent job of that, while Pollard is starting to slow down a bit.

If you think Love is Christian McCaffrey dropping down to the later first round, and you think he can be a major part of the running AND passing game, then I think it’s okay to take a RB then. You address Edge/WR/CB with the other picks in the top 100, so it shouldn’t get in the way of doing that. Now I don’t know and haven’t watched enough tape on Love to know if he can be that every down or first down back that can also catch and block really well. If he’s a strictly traditional first down running back then I don’t do it, or if there are questions about his pass blocking ability.

So here is a theoretical haul if you can get Love with that later first rounder.

Jets first rounder in the top 5: Reuben Bain

Colts first rounder probably around 20 if they lose in the wildcard: Jeremiah Love

Titans second rounder in the top 5: Denzel Boston (big sized X WR)

Titans third round at 3.1: CB

So the roster next year starts to look like this:

    QB Ward

    RB Love Spears

    WR Ridley Boston Ayomanor Dike

    TE Chig Helm

O-line same with maybe more depth and C

    DL Simmons Sweat

    Edge Bain Femi

    S Winston Jr Hooker

DB who knows plus the new guy, also address in FA.

Edit: took a look at Love’s scouting report quickly and he could be that guy: “Offers legitimate three-down versatility, capable of lining up wide, in the slot, or traditional backfield alignments without tipping play calls. Dangerous pass-catching weapon who transitions from receiver to runner instantly, turning dump-offs into chunk plays with natural hands and field vision. Dazzling open-field creativity with multiple escape plans – can hurdle, juke, or hit a second gear that leaves pursuit angles looking foolish. Runs with surprising power through his lower half, consistently falling forward through contact and finishing runs with authority despite leaner frame.”

Also, the only real identity the Titans have as a football franchise outside of a couple QBs like Moon or McNair is one of the best groups of RBs as a franchise. I say lean into it. Modern football is shifting more towards the run. Develop an offense that can use Spears and Love interchangeably and as two threats running and passing.

  13. If we get two first rounders then I am fine with a Luxury pick and a main pick.

Because honestly he is better than most of the players in that range. We are a bad team, and he is blue chip runningback. After Love there isn’t a back I would touch until the 4th round it’s just that terrible of a class besides Love.

This team isn’t getting fixed in one offseason. Building blocks around Cam though are important, and that includes a actual run game. Which this football team has absolutely none of at all.
