All my kid wanted for Christmas was this damn zamboni gravy boat. Ebay came through with a Silver Knights gravy boat, scuffed it up, and currently trying my hand at "what is this paint thing and how do we make it stick?"

If anyone has recommendations, I'm open to it…I won't add in the seat, steering wheel, sweep component but I think she'll get the point, lol. Pictures are out of order, but if anyone wants to know exactly what I did, feel free to reach out!

  1. Love the project, only concern is about the paints you’re using. Most ceramics use glazes to make them food safe and most paints wouldn’t be considered food safe. If you’re leaving the inside alone and unaltered you should be fine but if you do alter it just know you could potentially harm yourself and or anyone else who eats from that dish.

    Sincerely, a concerned potter 🙂

  2. I don’t know you, kind internet stranger, but it sounds like you’re raising that kid *right*.
