LA Dodgers pitcher Roki Sasaki held a Baseball clinic for children in Suzu City, Japan today to encourage those affected by the Noto Peninsula Earthquake in 2024 and Otsu Noto heavy rain disaster, and impresses kids with a long distance throw to the outfield.

Looking like a superhero to the kids.
Yeah, Roki Sasaki was a survivor himself of the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake (recorded at 9.0 magnitude) and Tsunami which killed his grandparents and father where he was still 9 years old at that time, so he knows what it’s like being in that kind of situation.
“Hey kid, catch!”
*Throws a middle middle 102 mph 4-seamer*
You know something, is Roki Sasaki good enough to be an outfielder?

1. This is super cool. Giving anything to children is a worthwhile endeavor, especially your time.
2. It’s wild how ubiquitous the Jordan brand is–even in baseball
I’m not saying there are 0 cases, but it *feels* like as a whole you never hear about American players doing anything for kids/youth baseball during the offseason.
