who we need to get predictions here, but TJ, do the Texans all but knock off the Chiefs out of the playoffs? Man, I fought with myself on this really back and forth. I think we’re going to be dividing time. So, we I know we not all going to be on the same page, but you know, I like I like I’m not going to say I’m picking them right now as yet, but the Chiefs at home is a different animal. They’re a different animal. I know they got they left their their tackles out and you know, but they still got Pat Mahomes. They still got Pat Mahomes. the weather’s going to be bad, which doesn’t favor the Texans, who is a dome team for the most part. Um, Hunt and Pacheo, they have to get going in order for the Chiefs to win. Now, against the pass, having your left tackles out is terrible or both tackles out is terrible, but against the run, you can make it work. And I think Andy Reid schemes those two outside linebackers enough where the game plan stays away from them or it helps Mahomes get the ball out quick or you know the running attack runs in between the guards right so in that case with the Kansas City defense being you know they’re not number one in scoring like the Texans are but they are top 10 in a lot of categories of defense. So, that being said, I’m gonna take the Chiefs at home. And I think when the big play is needed this week opposed to that Thanksgiving week where Rice had a drop, Kelsey had a drop there, they make those catches. And rarely do you see the Chiefs lose two in a row. So, that’s going in in their favor as well. So, I’mma go at home with the Chiefs and I’m going to take Momes over a concuss. That’s just what I’mma do. I’m I trust Mahomes more in our environment back against the wall. I got the Chiefs, man. I got the Chiefs. All right. Hey, all all good points, Bub. All good points, man. But I think it’s over for these Chiefs. Oh, and you’re always right for the cheese. I just don’t think they got that that that juice that they usually have. You know what I’m saying? And it just showed on Thanksgiving. They not making the plays at the end of games that they usually make. You know what I’m saying? And now they run into running into probably the hottest defense in the league right now. And we both know, bub, if we could play, we could be whatever kind of team. That goes for the offense. The weather and all that. The defense don’t give a damn. We we throw a hoodie on up under them pass and get to it. You know what I’m saying? So, hey, that defense going to be there. It’s it’s it’s definitely tough to play in Kansas City at night, but I think this defense rise they played. They they just is excited to be the guys that really put the dagger in Patrick and make him not uh the playoffs this year. The Chiefs, that O line, man, they just banged up again at the at the wrong time. You don’t want to be banged up run or pass. They got two ends who could play the run, too. We can’t forget they not only ranked number one in defense, they number four against the run. So, it’s gonna be damn hard for PCO and Hunt to get going this week versus the number 14 in the league versus the run. You know what I’m saying? So, hey, Stra came out and did his best uh Mills impersonation last week. He He took He took what the defense gave him. You know what I’m saying? He ain’t try to do too much. He ain’t try to run. He leaned on that defense. He leaned on his own defense. You know what I’m saying? Let me just take what y’all give me and not make no mistakes. Lean on my own defense. So, hey man, I think he come out and play another game like that and I think it’s enough. I think it’s enough, man. They they win a close one on the road in Kansas City. This comes down to me to the two quarterbacks and and I’m the reason I’m with the Keeb is and both of you guys were defensive stalwarts, but but this it starts with this defense for the Texans and it’s just really really good and it’s quietly very good. Leads in points allowed, leads in yards allowed. Demo Ryan is a coach of the year candidate. I think they’re going to win that AFC South and it it’s going to start Sunday night at Kansas City and to your point Akee, it’s going to be high of 20 on Sunday night. So, but but they say no wind. So, it’ll probably be pretty good football weather. You know, it’s just going to be cold, but you’ll throw your hoodie on and you you just play defense and the defense will travel. So, I trust the defense. Now I I need to trust the quarterback. And CJ Strad at Indie in his comeback game, he was pretty good. Quietly pretty good. He was Well, he threw for 276. He didn’t throw any touchdowns. He did have the one pick. When you have a defense like that, you just need to be pretty good. Like Bick. Yeah. He had a good QBR 68. So two are like trying to piss you off, right? Yeah. So to your point, Patrick Mahomes has been very good this year, but he hadn’t been like Mahomes magic good, you know, like the Dallas Cowboys beat him pretty convincingly and it it shocked me where, you know, I watched Mahomes at Josh Allen and he wasn’t Mahomes. I mean, they still fifth in no total offense. They’re still top five. Yeah, I I got it. But but they’re not blow you away good. So against this defense, they’re going to have a long hard night because everybody has a long hard night. And CJ, when I look at his year under the radar, and I know he missed the three games, but he’s sixth in QBR, so he’s he’s been pretty good. Efficient. Yeah, efficient. He’s 11 touchdowns to six picks. He’s not lost any fumbles, so he can play that kind of football. And he’s got Nico Collins back running. and he scored a touchdown run in the football and had a big game at Indie where where he’s he he’s looking like a dominant number one receiver again. Yeah. So, so to me I I just think they’re a little better than Kansas City is at this time. I don’t disagree with your point. A night game at Arrowhead, that’s it’s tough. It’s tough sledding, man. Yeah. I’m I mean I know you looking at the defense, but I’m looking at the offenses matched up against the defense, right? You got top five Mahomes offense versus a number one, you know, Texans defense, but you got a top You got a ninth overall defense in Kansas City versus a 18th overall offense in the Texans. I know, but they really haven’t. It’s been up and down with CJ Strad, but it is what it is. But I mean, what Mills was in how many games? Four games? Three. Three. I mean, three and a half. And he did around what Stra is going to do. You know, he’s not going to go crazy. You just don’t turn the ball over and keep it close. But I just, you know. Okay. So, what’s your score? What what is what did you say? What did I say? Uh, how many can they score against? Man, it’s going to be 28 17. Okay. So, you think they can score 28 points on a defense that that allows 16 and a half a game? Hey, we’ll put it like this. The the Texans ain’t gave up 28 all year. Yeah. Yeah, it may be a little bit. Yeah, it’s going to be it’s going to be in the post 20s. Yeah. Yeah. Remember the They going to score on defense, too. Okay. They’re going to score on defense. Remember the opening game out here at SoFi? It was a weird lowscoring game and the Rams won it. Beat the Texans and it was 14 to9. They gave him 140. They made the Jags 17. The Titans got zero. The Ravens got 10. Seattle scored 27. The Niners scored 15. Yeah, the Broncos scored 18. There you go. Yeah, bro. They don’t give up no points, bro. They they doing what they do. Yeah. That’s why I said they going to score on offense with your shot. They going to score on defense. I’m going to ride I’m going to ride with the Texans as well. I spend three days a week with you guys and defense wins championships. And the Texans have beat the NerS, the Bills, the Colts, the Jags. They beat good teams. This is a good team. And they have not had CJ Shroud and Ego Collins in the right step. I think finally we’re going to see the Nico Collins that we saw last year and get a little bit moving on offense. They don’t need a ton though. Got to put some respect on Kansas City defense, man. I I just don’t think they get enough respect. Hey, you know, you know how them powerhouses do, bub. They just pop up one year and it’s just like, damn, we just down this year. They’ll be back next year, bro. They’ll be right back 12 and four or whatever next year. You know what I’m saying? This year just ain’t it. They just not making those plays in the fourth, bro. It’s they ain’t do it against the the the Broncos. They ain’t do it against the the Bills. They ain’t do it against the Cowboys. They just not finishing games like they usually finish games. So, I was with you. I was I was sitting in that same seat you sitting in. B.
