2026 Winnipeg Jets "Victorias" Heritage Jersey inspiration:

The Winnipeg Victorias were one of the earliest senior hockey teams in Manitoba, formed around 1889–1890. They dominated the Manitoba Hockey Association and became one of Canada’s strongest amateur clubs.

They’re most famous for winning the Stanley Cup in 1896, becoming the first team outside Montreal to do so. They won the Cup again in 1901 and 1902, and issued several other challenges during that era. After professional hockey emerged, the Victorias stayed amateur and went on to win the Allan Cup in 1911 and 1912.

Their colours were red and yellow, and some early 1900s sweaters featured a charging bison logo on the chest matching the jersey in the photo. Historic sweater blogs and Hall of Fame archives confirm the bison crest was used in certain seasons.

It is a lot of red, but if you paired it with [brown helmets, gloves, and pants](https://imgur.com/a/r8gY7oM), you could actually create a really classic, heritage-style look that feels more intentional and old-timey. I’m confident the modern team would never make a drastic switch away from our Polar Night Blue and Aviator Blue, but it is interesting to see how other colours and parts of Winnipeg’s hockey history beyond just the Falcons could be incorporated or honoured in future designs.

  1. These are nice but I doubt TNSE would want a jersey this red even though it’s a throwback.

  2. I could see them incorporating the logo but I think they’ll definitely want the colors to better represent the current jets

  3. I like the concept and they do need a red sweater in the mix. Maybe swap the pants colour to the gold and reverse the socks to take the red down a notch? Tough colours to work with honestly.

  4. where is the wordmark? on the helmet? it’d be nice on the jersey maybe, it seems too plain right now

everything up top is great though, i love the golden boy in the logo

  5. The idea is neat. the colours are questionable.

and no matter what connection Manitoba has with bisons, having a bison as a logo while Buffalo is also in the NHL ain’t gonna happen
