Both lines got absolutely abused in the 1st half. OL/DL both outmatched
You allow 2 long TD passes. Both of those plays you’re not even competitive in, they were that bad
And somehow you got the game down to a 4th and 1 where the playcall is perfect and your TE is W I D E open running towards the endzone
Caleb hesitated and it cost him a layup. Then when he did eventually throw it was a terrible pass
This is one of the NFL’s best teams you’re playing at and you came this close
I’m more encouraged now than I was before the game. 1st half is how I imagined the entire game to go. Instead you showed that you can beat this team
And if you can beat that team at Lambeau, you can beat any team
>Tip the hat to GB
Nah, FTP forever and always!
It’s impossible to win them all; just ask Tom Brady and the 2007 Patriots.
We’re gonna be fine.
That this game came down to a last-minute pick with the Bears driving to score speaks volumes to how we’ve improved.
Yeah, Caleb wants that play back. So does BJ and everyone else.
Our defense wants to fix their mistakes, too.
We’re 9-4, and still a playoff threat.
Much as it would have been far better had the Bears won… we’re still doing very well.
If we could just start games a bit quicker, we would be a great team.
Love it. A full offseason with Ben and some additions on the DL are going to be huge.
Yeah, there were just a handful of plays that I wish went different.
They need to change the OPI rules, the fact that Love lobbed up a would be easy pick and the best outcome for the Bears is to just decline the penalty sucks. Particularly when DPI is a spot foul.
This is exactly how I feel. The Bears are playing with house money at this point. I know they’re all probably pissed that they lost, but it was in GB, and the Packers are one of the best teams in the league.
Meanwhile the NFL subreddit has declared Caleb a bust and acting like we should draft a QB this year.
I also came away more encouraged by this team than discouraged. I’m a pessimist. Call it a defense mechanism I guess. Always have been. The bears keep proving me wrong this year though. They’re a good football team that lost to another good football team on plays that are absolutely correctable.
Denver had a tough time today vs Poop Raiders. GB can win that.
Our top wr out. Gordon and Edmund’s out and we almost beat them
By halftime, I had mentally quit on the game, and frankly the team. I was expecting a 30-point blowout in a snoozefest of a game. BJ’s halftime adjustments were amazing. Caleb showed everything you want in a QB during 29:40 of that half. Shit happens.
Personally I don’t think the INT lost us the game. I mean, objectively that’s true because it was the last play, but the game was over the moment we let GB drive down the field for an easy TD with 3 minutes left. If the Defense puts up any resistance on the multiple chances they had to stop GB they could easily have given the offense the ball with 4 or more minutes in a tie. That’s a situation the Bears win 99 times out of 100.
This feels like a learning moment for the team. It feels like they came out thinking they were untouchable. They missed assignments, played lazily on both sides of the ball, and didn’t seem to know how to recover when the bad things started happening. Hopefully, they decide to play angry in the next 4 weeks and they can really clean up.
We’ll see in 2 weeks but I think the next game will be very different.
If we would actually run the ball in the first half and control the game… but no, Ben wants to do dumbass play action boots to Micah’s side….
Not a bad loss. Still salty we threw more than ran the ball when we’re 2nd in rushing lol
Oh look, another “We will be good soon” take.
Green Bay is 52 to 16 over this team since 1992.
A loss is a reason for optimism?? Is this what it is like to be a fan of a poverty franchise?
I’m so tired of moral victories man
Will never tip my hat to the packers. FTP
Fraud checked
That was a horrible first half. We’ll see. I’m not optimistic like most Bears fans. We’ll see
No. This is a terrible take. No more moral victories. Makes me wanna puke
If we get a pass rush, it’s over for those losers.
Caleb was better than people are acting like *ducks*
Da Browns
Let’s not get ahead of ourselves. The packers are *far* from the NFL’s best.
The NFL is just so crazy to me where it’s like, we beat the Eagles, out coach them in every phase of the game, never giving them the lead. Then the next week we lose to the Packers who literally couldn’t get anything going against the Eagles. Well we’re seeing those assholes again 2 weeks from now so game on I guess.
2 weeks won’t mean anything if we don’t win next week BEAR DOWN
In legit proud of our squad. Caleb went off second half and did rookie shit at the end, ill take that all day
Got Detroit last game of the year don’t blow your load before you get hard.
