Talking about Keifer Sherwood, the Wild apparently did offer up the Canucks original asking price (a prospect, no idea who) but the Canucks have amendwd the ask to include a first round pick. Uhhhh, no.

It was mentioned Rossi would not be offered to them even though the Canucks are still interested. However, they could have had him:

Ironically, the Canucks turned down an offer from the Wild for Rossi at the draft that would have involved Aatu Raty (scored two goals and an assist and had one goal overturned against the Wild on Saturday night), the No. 15 pick and goalie Arturs Silovs.

Guerin IS looking for scoring help, and it is noted that Hartman is on the block.

  1. Not expecting a trade. Also, not expecting very many significant trades until the deadline in the NHL. Every team is dealing with injuries and injuries will continue this year.

  2. Nobody wants Rossi. Nobody wants Hartman(engaged or bat shit). Tarasenko just needs to be done with hockey.

  3. Sherwood is nearly 31 and hasn’t played 300 games yet (brazzo). Sounds like the type of player Guerin would give up a 1st/2nd round prospect

  4. Rossi is better than almost anyone we can actually trade for. There’s no reason to trade him. He simply needs to play better. He can, he has, he will again.

Hartman may not have a ton of years left’s he plays great but has on and off games. We could trade him, but the player we’d get would be another Tarasenko tier player, and that has historically not worked out.

So, we should keep who we have and trade only with prospects that aren’t doing amazing in the system for other prospects.
