McDaniels was a 40% 3pt shooter in the 2022-2023 season. Last two years, he was at 34% and 33%, respectively. Been one of the things I’ve been harping on for awhile because we had previously seen him be capable of hitting the long ball at a high clip and then it kind of drastically fell off. Glad to see he’s back. For him to be at 49% through a quarter of the season is pretty wild. But he’s absolutely a dude who can be a consistent 40% guy for many years to come and we need it.
I’m not sure the 3pt% is up to date on here either as he went 3-3 the other night which pushed him from 46.5% to 48.6%
Also, the gap between corners is wild (and speaks to small sample size, I think):
As important as Ant is, I sincerely believe that Jaden is the key to us having any type of postseason success this year. The thunder show that the key to postseason success is elite two-way players. Ant is going to be elite, that is pretty much a given. If Jaden can become Pippen-like, which I honestly believe he can given his seemingly limitless potential, I think the sky is the limit.
