There are some pretty bad vibes going around about this team but a win against the Ravens (in Baltimore no less) is always enough to cheer me up for a bit. However, I am still in the 'we need to see some significant changes to the coaching staff' camp even if we end up winning the division. Play was better this week but we got some help from a bad call and some very bad Ravens play. I'm keeping my expectations low for the rest of the season. Are we seriously headed for another 9-8? What should we expect to see vs Dolphins and Lions? And importantly, if we get into a position where we have the division locked up should we throw Will Howard in for a game to get him some in-stadium reps?

  1. No matter what happens this year this team needs change. Having a a bottom 5 defense when they’re taking up majority of the cap and are the highest paid is just not acceptable.

  2. Why. Why the last bit about W*ll Ho*ard. He is a *sixth round* rookie. Stop it, please for the love of god

  3. Hey, this isn’t trash mountain—it’s recycling mountain. We’re reusing old guys like Rodgers!

  4. This season isn’t a wash, YET. I honestly think if we make the playoffs we have chance of winning a game or two. But this season is still a “loaner” season, I guess? Rodgers and Cam will probably retire soon. TJ is declining. Tomlin is stale, as is the rest of the coaching staff.

We need to start taking shots at drafting a QB, not bringing in damaged/stale goods from other teams. We need somebody who can actually develop that person. Our O-line is mostly young and getting better. With Washington/Muth/Smith we got good TEs. RB room seems decent.

I think if over the next two years we could draft a QB and WR, we could be looking good. Still need help on the front 7, but how many teams don’t?

Secondary is looking kinda down, JPJ is really the only highlight. Everybody else is getting old or not doing so good. I do like how much Pierre has improved this year. Another good CB (not another Slay or lesser extent, Ramsey) would really help.

Biggest thing for the next couple years is getting players who can stop the run. Seems every game they get gouged on the ground.

I am(was?) a Tomlin supporter, but he needs to be replaced, or the Rooneys need to bring in really good OC/DC’s and give them power to control and change things. But the chances of that are lower than me winning the lottery 3 weeks in a row.

  5. See! Now a fun thing would be if Aaron got one of these helmets made and just sat on the sidelines with it as a joke

  6. Honestly the whole League has been a dumpster fire this season. We may actually have a real shot for the first time in a very long time.

  7. Even if we win the Super Bowl this year I say still gut the entire coaching staff and nuke the team for a fresh start

  8. He needs a his bloody nose and a big cast on his wrist too, culminate all his injuries as the season goes on

  9. But Trash Mountain is such a familiar place to be … I mean I have a permanent camping spot right over there near that rock on the left hand side of the thingymajiggy —->

  10. Who should we root for in the Eagles Chargers game? It would seem logical to root against an AFC team and pick Philly. I just don’t want to run into the Bills in the Wild Card round. Which outcome would be best for that?
