Some Magic fans really try to justify this because other players do it and don’t get punished when it’s not even remotely comparable.If Bane was falling out of bounds or had a legitimate reason to do it he wouldn’t get fined or called for a hostile act.

He’s on a $207M, 5-year contract which gradually rises every year. Let’s say his salary this year is approximately $40M. This $35,000 is 0.0875% of his salary.
If an American making $50K a year got fined 0.0875% for dishonorable behavior, they’d lose $43.75.
If an American making $100K a year got fined 0.0875% for the same, they’d lose $87.50.
In short, Bane is too stacked to give a fuck. Still hilarious though.

Deserved, but by all accounts this seemed really out of character. I feel like players are used to beaming it off guys out of bounds and he just lost the script for a second. It went from easily Orlando ball to a tech. Pretty bonehead move

I think the NBA should have the player go on live tv with the commissioner and they have the play in question from a bunch of different angles and then they just talk through it until there’s nothing to argue about, then he decides the punishment after.
