McCarthy threw a career-high with touchdown passes in his first turnover-free game, returning from his latest injury absence in prime form. Commanders lost their eighth straight game. One week after being shut out for the first time in 18 years, they delivered a shut out. It’s just their second turnover-free game this season. Jason Daniels was forced out midway through the third quarter when he was uh when he was blocked during an interception return and landed hard on his left elbow, the one he dislocated a month ago and required a three-game absence. Daniels missed three games with the injury. Mariota, who’s one and five as a starter, threw an interception and lost a fumble in relief. It’s just it’s it’s just been very tough for him this year. It’s been tough for the Raiders. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, they they they got to shut they got to you mean the commanders? I mean commanders. Yes. Excuse me. Yes. They they got they got they got to shut Jaden down. Shut him down. They got to shut him shut him down for the rest of the year. Um the the season is over at this point. Allow him to get healthy and just look look forward to next year. The Vikings the Vikings needed this game. They needed this game a lot. JJ McCarthy didn’t look good at all last week, so he needed this game for his confidence. Um, I mean they they didn’t really do anything offensively, you know, that really wowed you. I mean JJ, you know, 16 for 23 he threw three three TDs for 163. Jordan Addison had four for 62. Aaron Jones 14 carries, 76 yards. I mean, it was it was okay. I don’t think a performance like this defense defense played really well. I don’t think a performance like this would win them games against the better teams that that would be able to have out offensive output. Uh the Commanders really couldn’t get anything going and that’s why I mean obviously the score line the way it did today. Boy, I feel bad for Jedha. Huh? I feel bad for Justin Jefferson. He gonna He gonna be all right. He gonna be all right. Quarterback. You’re not But I do agree with you on the Jaden Daniels. Um there’s nothing to be gained from this season. They’re not going to the playoffs. Uh try to position yourself, get high, get you a good draft pick, try to build a team. I mean, you look um they did a great job. They sacked JJ McCarthy four times, but you can’t overcome this team is not good enough to overcome the turnovers that they had. You can’t turn the ball over three times and expect to win. Not that you’re not that good as a team. You’re not that good. No. Um and and and like you said, uh JJ McCarthy played well today. 16 of 23, 163, three touchdowns, clean game. Didn’t have those turnovers. It’s only the second time in what, n uh 13 games they’ve been turnover free, right? It’s hard it’s it’s hard to win when you turn the ball over and you’re not that talented of an offense or you’re not that good as a team. I think defensively they can look they got some they got pieces. Um I think I I I think JJ McCarthy is going to have to get he’s going to have to get a lot better. Oo, you’re going to have to get a lot better in order for this team to compete with Jordan Love in Chicago and Detroit. That’s what’s in your division. Yeah. And listen, that that’s what it comes down to. It comes down to quarterback position. The quarterback The will be the reason whether you win or lose games. And then that’s all it comes down to. And then oo, you see that that hit that took? Oh, the rules. Yeah, that’s why I’m not going to let you find me $50,000 for hitting him in the head. I I can particularly end the man career. Yeah. I mean, listen, that that’s that’s the what? Not comp is that the competition committee? Yeah. Yeah. I mean, that’s a defensive receiver. That’s a blow to the head, the head, neck, shoulder area. And so guys are going low. that they don’t they don’t have a choice. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it for I mean it lord I know it felt like his knee exploded. Damn. Matthew Stafford and Puka Nakua helped the Rams stay top the NFC West with a 457 win over the Arizona Cardinals. Stafford threw for 281 yards and three scores. Uh Puka Nakua and Blake Cororum both scored twice and the Rams scored 35 unanswered points to bounce back from last week’s turnover field loss to Carolina. Los Angeles won for the seventh time in eight games and stayed at top Seattle uh in the NFC West in one game ahead of the 49ers, man. Mhm. Look, I think Drake May is playing unbelievable, but Matthew Stafford is out of his damn mind right now. Yeah. So, Matthew Stafford is your MVP this year? Yes. I think he had what did he have 33 35 touchdowns and and and and and four picks? Boy, he cutting up, boy. He cut. And matter of fact, Uncle, he’s doing all this with no training camp. Puka, something was wrong with So, hey, hold on. Something was Some was wrong with his back, but it it is because he’s had back issues before. Oo, that was a problem that Yeah, that was a problem that he had in Detroit. He’s had back issues, right? He had Okay. Well, listen. Listen, he next year he needed to do he messed up again. Yeah. sit out again cuz the fact that a quarterback like that, a seasoned vet, if you can miss training camp and still come out throughout the regular season and play this well, I’m all for it. Let your arm rest. Let your arm rest. No wear and tear, you know, I mean, you’ll be fine. And the fact that he didn’t have training camp and really couldn’t get that report with his receivers and you still putting up numbers like this, man, the hell to hell with training camp for him. Yeah, he was 22 of 31, three 281, three touchdowns, no interceptions. They ran the ball 36 time for 249. Puka Naka had seven catches for a buck 67 and two touchdowns. Devonte, they finally did a great job. They kept kept Devonte out of the end zone. Um, he’s leading the NFL in touchdown catches. Um, I think he got like 14. 14. He got that many. God damn. Yeah. Yeah. Uh man, Jacobe Brantling and dealing for the Cardinal. I know they lost. Hey, but he had 25 of 44, 271, two touchdowns, and a pick. They just couldn’t run the ball, so they couldn’t keep couldn’t keep that. Uh he was he was under pressure. Uh Michael Wilson, I like him. 11 catches, a buck 42. One play. Trey McBride is Trey McBride, five for 58. He didn’t get in the end zone. Yeah, boy. Jacobe verset wheeling and Dylan. What’s what’s Stafford numbers? Um, they look good. The Rams look good. Oo. But Matthew Stafford is playing some excellent football. Lights out. Um that’s he uh 35. He has uh 3,354 yards. oo which is fifth is 35 touchdowns is one and I don’t think anybody’s close to that nobody’s even close to that are they and four interceptions nobody’s close to that what’ you say he got 3,000 how much 3,000 3354 is next okay Dax is next with 26 touchdowns and he has what 35 five and four picks, man. Hey, that them boys over there dealing, boy. So, he might have he might have uh uh Where’s Drake May? He might be in the lead now cuz Drake May was on the buy as far as passing yards.
